    :heehee: at Woo!
Penny we need some rain here. The garden is soooo dry.

Shiney Mrs Shiney probably thought it was you draping yourself round her like a scarf :happydance:

Had a lovely day here, been out round my parents and have been sitting in the garden with them and getting the sun. This evening we went to the floating restaurant for a meal with my sons and one partner for a birthday celebration for me. Will put a pic on later.

    Good morning everyone,

There's a little bit of frost on the ground but the sun is shining brightly. I hope that the plants that Mrs shiney put out the other day have survived the frost.

Jazmine, I put a photo of Mrs Shiney and her scarf Oscar in the 'Pets' section.

I have the funeral to go to today so that will take up most of my day.

Have a great day :D and May The Fourth Be With You! :heehee:

    Good morning everyone,

woo, that is 45 seconds more than us but it is rather cloudy at the moment.

It was a wonderful funeral yesterday. The woman who officiated is a retired registrar and now does non-religious celebrations of life. She was absolutely fantastic and made it sound as though she had known our friend all his life.

There were no prayers at all but lots of reminscences of his life recounted with a gentle smile and a very warm voice. She also read some poetry as well as any professional actor that I have seen.

The coffin went down to a lovely version of the Pastoral Symphony and the whole celebration finished with the Monty Python version of 'Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life'. :)

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone.

Why is it, that now I'm no longer working, I seem to have less time to myself than when I worked part time? :dunno: Still, I've not been sitting idle! I wish! :loll:
My greenhouse arrived Friday 29th April, and after some hiccups of very windy days, and then a pane of glass shattered on us, I'm chuffed to say, we finished building it yesterday!:happydance::happydance::yahoo::yahoo: :hapfeet::hapfeet:

I'll be transferring everything across today from my little grow house, bless it, it's served me well. I'll take piccies when it's all sorted, and post them on my Turning over a new leaf thread sometime this weekend. Time permitting! :heehee:

Really hope you're all keeping well, have a great Friday everyone. xx

    Good morning everyone,

Very sunny and warm here and still no sign of rain - but they have forecast it for tomorrow, yet again

Joolz, I'm sure you will soon fill the greenhouse and want another. :D

I had a slow, and enjoyable, day yesterday and went to visit a number of my old staff and picked up all the gossip at each visit and passed it on :heehee:.

Then had to go to the local tyre place as my car had developed a slow puncture. It turned out to be caused by a tiny nail . So had that repaired and whilst they were doing it I popped along to the polling station and had a natter with the candidates who were having a cuppa outside.

In the evening I had a lovely big bonfire as I didn't have to worry about the field catching alight. The farmer had his giant water sprinkler going.

I think I'll do a bit of pottering in the garden and then some paperwork.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

I rushed out into the garden at 6 a.m. and ran around in the drizzle for a while :yahoo: :dbgrtmb:. I was only in my underpants :rolleyespink: - but the neighbours can't see into the garden :heehee:. Oscar hid his eyes :loll: :loll: :loll:

The drizzle only lasted 15 minutes and, apparently, we won't get any rain until tomorrow.

    Have a great day :D
