    Good morning everyone,

I'm frantically busy today and just taking a few minute's break. I've packed the boot of the car with plants to sell at the afternoon bridge club. Loads of sweet peas, some cyclamen corms, tom plants, courgette plants etc. After the club one of the members is coming back to pick up their 3 hanging baskets, 24 geraniums and 12 begonias. I'll be taking orders this afternoon for runner bean plants as well. he afternoon club gets first chance at plants before the plant sale in just under couple of weeks. It helps us as we need the space.

Still no rain and none forecast.

Kandy, I'd like to see those cats wearing your clothes :heehee: :loll: :loll:

    Have a great day :D

      Good morning Woo and everyone,

Woo I hope it doesn't rain as I have a load of washing to hang out so it can start after it has all dried nicely.:D

Shiney, when i get my clothes out of the wardrobe and lay them on the bed while i have shower, normally when i re entre the bedroom there is often a moggie curled up asleep on those clothes and then the cat wonders why they get disturbed when i pull the clothes from under them :loll:Hope the bean plant sale went off ok and you raised lots of pennies Shiney:thumbsup:

Had a good afternoon yesterday at the lottie and picked another strawberry which went down my throat nicely a minute later. No poit in trying to take it home just to chop it in half for Mr Kandy so he can have the next ripe one if I remember :WINK1:

It is nice and :sunny: here at the moment and I am off to the hospital this morning for my foot xray.Looking forward to seeing how they will actually xray it but will soon know if an electric saw comes my way :mute::rolleyespink:

Hope you all have a lovely day :sunny::)

      :dbgrtmb:Good morning everyone,

woo, it must be a big battleship as it stretches all the way to Shineyland :)

Kandy, good luck with the xray

Today is a day full of meetings . The first one is at 10 a.m. at the town hall of one of the towns near me. That means being caught in the town centre traffic which is something I always do my best to avoid. The last meeting is at 8 p.m. tonight and I won't get home until 11.30 :help:

The kitty for pre-sales of plants for the open day is building up . After having taken back the few hundred pounds of outlay we already have nearly £300 collected. :yahoo:

      Have a great day :D

      Greetings everyone,

Shiney, sounds like you are going to have another bumper selling year with the plant sales etc and it should do the charity a whole lot of good:thumbsup:

Woo,we keep having dark clouds come over pratcically every day but hardly anyhting falls from the sky.Great for getting my washing dry and at least my garden plants are still looking good:happydance:Are you having to water your garden at all?

Got my xray done on my foot, four xrays were taken and the results will be sent to the Dr's so will have to wait to hear from him, unless he feels that the foot problems are just a natural part of the aging process:rolleyespink:

Mnaged to gte to the lottie in the afternoon and got a bit of work done before it started raining quiet heavily so had to head home but at least it saved me having to water the plants.:yess:

Nice and sunny here this morning so will see what sort of a day we shall have although there is a chill in the air so it feels more like Autumn, brrrrr:heehee:

      Have a nioce day everyone:)

      Good morning Kandy and everyone,

We finally got some rain yesterday (not forecast :rolleyespink:) but it only lasted 45 minutes. It's very sunny this morning so looks as though we shall have another warm day.

Mrs shiney went out last night at 11.30 to go slug and snail hunting and collected a big bag full. I don't think she will be hanging them on the wall as trophies. :heehee:

      Have a great day :D

        Good morning Woo and everyone,

Shiney you must have had the rain that we had the other day but for us it hasn't done a lot of good, although when i was digging up some tough weeds the other day,the ground was quiet damp underneath so the rain that came down a couple of weeks ago befroe we got back home must have done some good:DMy recyling bin has loads of snails in it but am thinking of collecting the snails and repatriating them over to our wood so that the Song and Mistle Thrush's can eat them to keep them going :yess:

Lovely photo Woo.:dbgrtmb:The sun is just hiding behind the houses but can see the glow from it so it looks like it will be another warm day although that wind was cold yesterday first thing :rolleyespink:

        Enjoy your day everyone :yess:

Good morning woo, Kandy and everyone,

woo, a lovely sunrise again. :dbgrtmb:

Kandy, I don't think the rain did more than bring out the slugs and snails.

Yesterday we borrowed a gazebo from the village fete. They very generously offered us gazebos and/or marquees but just one gazebo was hard enough to transport and erect. We shall need to give a donation to the village fete. The gazebo looks more like a big tent without the sides and is 20ft x 10ft with a high pitched roof.

It normally needs four people to erect it as it is in a concertina shape and you need to take hold of the corner posts and walk them backwards to stretch it out. It then needs to have its legs extended. The only way for two people to do it is to anchor one corner s we thought it would be easy enough to push a fork into the ground through one of the bolt holes in the foot. A good idea  until we found the ground rock hard and couldn't get the fork into it :rolleyespink:. I had to put the hose on it and leave it for quite a time to soften it up.

        Have a great day :D

        Good morning everyone,

It looks as though it will be another warm and sunny day. I haven't needed to cut the lawns anywhere near as much as normal because of the drought.

I've just watcehd a magpie and a crow, on the lawn, tearing apart a paper bag and eating it

Only one week to go to the opening of the garden and there is a lot of work still to do. We're still pulling up the forget-me-nots and have filled three wheelie bins so far. The cow parsley has gone mad in the wild area and I shall have to cut it all down before it seeds. The Welsh poppies and the Californian poppies are taking a long time to deadhead every day and that is one job that I can't do very easily because my back can't take it. Mrs shiney has to do that job. She spent five hours yesterday trying to organise and label some of the plants for sale :rolleyespink: with loads to go yet.

I've just finished arranging parking space in neighbours' driveways for the 25 helpers and musicians and for one of the helpers to get here early to show each of them where to park. The tables (15 x 6ft) and chairs will be brought along on Friday and I'll have to go and pick up two tea urns from the village hall that day. I'll also have to mow the lawns on Friday. Friday night, when I get home from bridge at 11.30 p.m. I shall have to make sandwiches ready for the 25 helpers on Saturday.

I still have to make Garden Open signs which will have to be hammered into the ground, first thing on Saturday morning, on the roads approaching the village.

It has made me tired just thinking of all this :D

        Have a great day :D

        Good morning Shiney and everyone,

Lovely and sunny out there at the moment and hope it remains so for the rest of the day and the year ahead with a drop of rain overnight:D

Shiney, there is no need to do all that work in your garden as according to Howard Camping the world is going to end tonight so there won't be anyone left on the planet to visit your open day:mute:Seriously though hope your back doesn't cause you too much grief as you try to get the signs done.

We are off to a coffee morning with all our bric-a-brac items we have sorted out so hopefully they will get sold to aid the cat charity we are trying to help,to out raise some much needed funds.:)

Hope you all have a great day :):yess:
