    Good morning everyone,

It's warm and sunny out there with no sign of rain.

The charity have said that because of the amount we raised they will be able to do something that they have been hoping to do for a long time. During the school holidays they are going to take the youngsters once a week to the seaside :yahoo:. They said that because we raised that money the local authority are going to add some to it as it is for a specific project for the kids :dbgrtmb:

    Lots to do today

    Have a great day :D

Ohh Shiney, that's absolutely BRILLIANT! You, Mrs Shiney, and Oscar deserve to feel very proud of yourselves. What a wonderful achievement, and thanks to you, some very worthwhile children will be able to feel the sand in their toes, and the waves lapping at their ankles. Fabulous, really, really fabulous!

Morning all. Beautiful here today, hope it's just as wonderful where you are. I'm off to David Austin Roses this afternoon. I'm very lucky as it's only a five min drive from me. I'm looking into changing the rambling rose that's gone rather prolific across the front of the house, (which makes tending to the wall a nightmare) into a couple of Standard roses that I can place in large Terracotta pots. Won't look as pretty, but it'll mean an end to lacerated arms when I'm using the outside tap, and cleaning the kitchen windows! lol..

Have a wonderful day everyone. xxx

    Good morning everyone,

Thanks, the kids will enjoy themselves :dbgrtmb:

Hot and sunny this morning and a few people are popping in (and tomorrow morning) to have a look at the garden as they couldn't make it at the weekend.

Got to rush off as I'm having an X-ray on my foot this morning and need to get back for when they turn up.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Hope the foot xray went ok for you Shiney and that the results are good:yess:

Well what a lovely day yesterday turned out to be.Plenty of sunshine and just a bit of breeze until the evening when it got a bit stronger but at least my washing got nice and dry.I'm one of those rare people in our village who likes to hang the washing out to dry rahter than tumble dry it like a lot of them do in our village even in the summer months:heehee:I have even managed to get out on my bike most days this week for a pleasant ride round the village:yess:

The sun is shining although today is supposed to be cooler so we are off to the lottie this morning to plant out the toms, squashes and sweetcorn and to hopefully sow some more seeds :DI'm just off for an amble round our estate:yess:

Hope you all have a very good day:)

    Good morning everyone,

Not quite so sunny this morning but still very mild.

The X-ray took all of 10 minutes from walking in to leaving :thumb:. now I've got to wait for the results. I appear to have a bursar (inflamed sinovial fluid of the joint which gives the effect of a blister) under the ball of my big toe and it makes it a nuisance for walking. I've now had it for six months and as it hasn't gone they want to check to make sure there isn't a problem with the joint. Then they can decide whether anything can be done about it.

We've got a few more people coming to look at the garden today (had a few yesterday as well) so I'll get out there soon and do some mowing.

    Have a great day :D

Good Morning Everyone. Not sure what the weather is going to do today as the sun keeps disappearing. Anyone bothering to put a £1 on the Queens horse today in the Derby? Might be worth a punt but I would not expect the odds to be great as it is the favourite.
