Hello Everyone, thought I had better pop in and explain my absence. I bought myself a little labrador puppy 10 days ago and she is running me ragged but a brilliant exercise machine and I needed one! Apart from that have been backwards and forwards to the hospital for blood tests and special clinics. So its a case of same old same old and yet completely upside down due to our little Amber. I hope all has been well with you all. Shiney I see you are still not sleeping. At least if you go to bed you will rest hopefully!
    Take care one and all.

    Good afternoon/evening everyone.

We have got loads of sunny weather at the moment and are having a great time and have done some walking every day although our tooties are feeling a bit sore at the moment:D

Saw some Bottlenosed Dolphins yesterday and some of them even had young calfs with them which was very nice, but very difficult getting photos of them and their mums as they were very fast and the tourist boats kept getting too close to them and frightening them further out into the bay:mad:

Moyra, sounds like you are having a great time with young Amber. We met a young Springer Spaniel called Mo this afternoon and she was a bundle of fun but wouldn't keep still.I gave up trying to get photos of her in the end.:DHope you have many happy hours with her and that your health improves, which I am sure it will:yess:

Shiney, hope you did good in the bridge match and hope the visit from relatives goes off ok:dbgrtmb:

Hi Penny and Louise hope you are both ok and still enjoying good weather:thumbsup:

Must dash as I have the evening meal cooking and need to get the home grown veggies we took with us prepared for cooking:D

    Have a great evening everyone:sunny:

    Hi Everyone,

Yesterday's bridge went quite well but our team didn't win.

We had a good time today with my cousin and his wife, reminiscing about the family 60 years ago :rolleyespink:, and he has now gone off to Cambridge. He's over from the U.S. for a seminar at the university and still heads up a research team (chemistry/physics) at the age of 88 :love30:

Moyra, you're obviously enjoying having Amber. Maybe she can help the hospital by giving you a 'lab' report :heehee:.
I only go to bed a couple of nights a week. The other nights I have a doze in the armchair.

    Enjoy your evening :D

      Morning everyone/

Once again, I must apologise profusely for not being about as oft as I would like. It's not been the best of times for me recently, and I've been at a bit of a low ebb. We've had to deal with all sorts of crappy things going on, most sadly a loss of a dear friend, who we bid farewell to tomorrow.
I'm really not looking forward to the funeral, our friend was at the hub of our small village (only 20 houses) and we're all feeling his loss greatly. Spent most of yesterday with a few others from the village, making the church grounds all tidy and bright for him.

I'm really hoping that things start to pick up, and life becomes a bit more positive. Things can only get better from here. *fingers crossed*

On a plus note, my garden border and pots are positively blooming, I really need to update you all with how it looks now. Gardening has been the only thing that's stopped me going stir crazy I think. My Toms, are abundant, and I've been harvesting my peas now for a little while, they're lovely! The carrots look like they're about done, so I'm going to do a trial pull of a couple and see what they look like. I've got courgettes that are slowly turning into marrows I think, they're massive! Can you freeze courgettes? lol. There's only me that likes them really, so I could do with being able to freeze them. Cuc's look ok, though they've been a bit slow to get going I think, but they're doing ok now.

Well. I had better get on, time waits for no one. And I've got an abundance of washing to do!

Have a wonderful day everyone, hope to be back soon. xxxx

      Good morning Joolz and everyone,

Joolz, sorry to hear about your friend. I'm sure that all everyone is doing will make it a good celebration of his life. There is no way that his loss from peoples' lives can be made easier except to have good memories of all he did.

I've been to about a dozen funerals so far this year with another on Thursday and one on Monday. We talk a lot about the people that have passed and keep the memory of them alive.

Yesterday the temperature reached 78F and it's still quite mild this morning.

      Lots to do.

      have a great day :D

Joolz commiseration on the loss of you friend. I have frozen courgettes. Usually wash and slice them and the freeze in slices so that you can use as and when you want them.

I have given all the veggies a good soak this morning thinking it was going to turn out rather warm but instead I am feeling a bit on the chilly side. Maybe its me.

Hello everyone, hope all is well with you all. I am to the docs yet again to check out my blood pressure. Why its suddenly fallen heaven only knows. Got to pick up a prescription for antibiotics too as the Renal specialist care unit say I need them as I have an infection in my water I didn't know about!

I am so glad I got Amber she has given me something to want to get my health right for. She is a little treasure.

Moyra, I hope things get sorted out for you  :impheart:

We're frantically busy here. This is the third evening in the last ten days where we have groups coming round for their annual summer buffets. Next Wednesday is, I hope, the last for this summer. We'll have to stop offering :heehee:

      See you around. :dbgrtmb:

      Have a great day :D
