Yawn yawn - wakey wakey..!! Mk 4

Good morning everyone,

Its sunny and nice here, we had rain yesturday, and its supposed to rain again tomorrow....Brads at work right now, for a few hours, so we'll do some more on the deck when he comes home.

Supposed to go to a friends tonight, for burgers and a fire, but we'll see.

Louise we try to get to Tesco's early then we don't get killed in the crush later on once all the wrinklies have finally got up and got moving...slowly:yess::DI got a couple of good bargains yesterday as they were selling off thier pink indoor watering cans cheap so i got four for 37p each and the rubber ladies gardening gloves I got for 75p each so got four pairs of them.Have a look in your Tesco's and see what you can pick up cheap

Shiney,yes I got the plums from trees planted ten years ago by the landscapers on a strip of land at the side of the cycle/footpath and usually the plums fall to the ground and get trodden into the tarmac or like this year the teenagers have been picking them to throw at each other.What a waste....

O2,hope the wedding went off ok for your late friends son and i know she will have been there in spirit to watch him have a good day:yess:

Well wasn't yesterday a glorious day with the sun again.After lunch we went over to the allotment and while i watered all the stuff albeit slowly with my painful shoulder and runny eyes,Mr Kandy got some ground prepared for sowing another four rows of carrots so they will be nice to have later on in the year.:D

Went for our usual evening walk round the village and it was still nice with the sun shining and it was well after seven which i thought it was good:D

Anyway,better go and get my brekkie sorted and then going to get the chicken in the oven plus going to make a cottage pie today so will have that later on in the week.

Kandy, i've seen (and bought) those kinds of bargains in Tesco before :yess:

Their prices, generally, on a lot of the feeds, weedkillers and insecticides are extremely competetive, infact them and Wilkinsons are where i buy all of the above these days.
Miracle Grow and Provado have been far, far cheaper in those two places over the past 2 years - making a massive saving on what you'd normally pay :D

Louise sorry you are feeling grumpy and irritable today and hope it soon passes when the sun comes out.I have a hubby who is like that every day and i reckon they start to change once they get to fifty and start to turn into their mothers:DI have been getting good gardening bargains from Tesco's for a couple of years now in their gardening section but never know when the sale is starting so have to keep a look out.Even the ladies on the tills missed out on the cheap stuff

Shiney,the sun blind sounds good and glad to hear you are keeping the economy going.Perhaps you could pop over to the states and help them with theirs:DOur runner beans are not up to full speed yet so are not picking many at the moment bit we have counted six baby squashes on our butternuts so are well pleased with them.I need to get some freezer space sorted as i picked 7lb 20z of golden plums the other day and will soon have ours to pick :D

Shiney,did you say the other year that you can pick pears when they are unripe or did i miss hear you?

We got a good house plant at the garden centre yesterday.It is called a Kohleria and has lovely pink spotted flower on it so looking forward to growing it.:yess:

My cold has gone onto my chest and whn i cough it burns,but i'm still going to carry on as unlike Mr Kandy when he is unwell I can't take to my bed :D

It is going to be another hot week so looking forward to it although we are due heavy rain on Thursday

Please do stop Shiney just watching you is tiring me out. Thank you. Kandy sorry to hear you have caught a nasty summer cold, the worst kind. Think you will have to be kind to yourself and treat yourself to a nice whiskey and hot lemon with a spoonful of honey in it. Even if it doesn't do the trick it will make you feel better hopefully!
