    Hi Shiney,

Thanks everyone for the Birthday Greetings on the other thread and all good wishes are appreciated :love30:

Hope you are not in too much discomfort with that rotten bite on your personal bits Shiney.I got bitten quiet badly on my arm at the allotment last week but luckily mange to swat it dead with my hand when i felt it sink it's teeth in me so it is now one dead bug and the lump on my arm is finally not sore any more:yess:

Moyra,I haven't forgotten about you but at the moment still feel out of it a bit with the after affects of this cold.I just don't feel 100% at the moment and I don't think Mr K keeping me awake with his snoring the last few nights have helped as i do need my sleep:yawn::loll:

I do hope that eventually you manage to get off the Tramadol, but as you say at the moment it is helping with the pain relief with your sciatica.I.m sending good vibes to you that you soon start to feel better.Hope you manage to get that butter cut once your new shears come today:yay:

Louise, hope your day is good and that you have some good weather:)

Penny hope you do get that rain that you badly need as it gets a right pain having to water everything to stop it drying up...

    Good morning everyone,

We had some much needed rain last night so it was most welcome and as i had cut the grass yesterday morning it will get into the ground and make the lawn look a bit greener:yess:

In the afternoon i went over to the allotment and started digging up some more of the late spuds and then had a chat with my friend when she popped over from her plot to mine.I gave her a lift to her house as i couldn't let the old dear struggle up the road with her bags of produce:heehee:

Shiney,we are going to have to pick all our pears now as the birds have started pecking at them and then the wasps are munching their way through the flesh so ta this rate we won't have many left by picking time. And they say allotmenteering is easy :DDon't know where we are going to store them though as there are hundreds of them plus the plums are all coming on now so we have our work cut out :yess:

    Have a good day everyone:sunny:

    Good morning everyone,

My computer is very slow today as it is doing a 49mb update of Windows.

The sun is coming up now and, apparently, we have no prospect of rain. I can't remember the last proper rain we had

Yesterday I had a number of GC tabs open and read one of them, then an email came in that I had to deal with and then I went back to the thread that I was about to answer. Unfortunately, I clicked on the wrong tab and typed my answer on here instead. So I copied it and pasted it into the correct one and then deleted it here.

Kandy, I didn't notice the insect that bit me but even if I did notice it I couldn't have swatted it - ouch!!! :heehee:

We're not having any trouble with the birds at our pears but we have now lost two branches with the weight of the pears, and the strong wind, breaking them. We've boxed up about 40lb of them and hope they will ripen.

got to go as the computer now wants to shut down and reboot.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,
Loiuse hope you managed to get everything done at Tesco's.I think we need to go at some point especially as we have had a load of vouchers sent us:D

Penny sounds like you have been busy lately.I expect it was $3,000 Canadian Dollars you were talking about but as i don't know much about Canadian financies don't know if that is quiet steep for Ski Clubs:rolleyespink:

Shiney,I only noticed the holes in the pears because I was weeding the sweetcorn on another part of the plot and in talking to my friend saw all the wasps buzzing around.I normally have to bend down or take a diffreent route to get past the low hanging branches so don't see what is happening at the top of the trees.:DWe have had one branch break and Mr K brought the fruit home to ripen so at least he hasn't lost them.:heehee:Hope the upgrade went ok for you:thumbsup:

Anyway,it is raining out there at the moment so it looks like I shall have to dry the washing a different day today,oh bum :D

    Have a good day everyone:sunny:

    Good morning everyone,
We had half an hour of rain yesterday that managed to wet the surface of the garden but it is now a brilliantly sunny morning. As we have had such little rain in the past few weeks I shall have to move the sprinkler to some of the newer flower beds where the plants are all drooping.

For those of you that haven't seen my 'relaxed cat' thread, here is the link. They are really cute :dbgrtmb:

    http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/non-gardening-discussion/36157-relaxed-cat-part-one.html

I have got to go shopping for the food for tomorrow when we have Mrs Shiney's students here all day. Then in the evening we shall be going to friends for dinner which will allow Mrs Shiney to relax.
On Sunday we're off to London to another funeral.

Today I'm going to set up Skype on the computer for Mrs Shiney to get some extra tuition for the course she is doing. So I have to fit a webcam to the computer.

    Have a great day :D

    Morning Everyone,

Kandy hope you get all your pears gathered in and Shiney your Skype set up ok. 3,000 Canadian Dollars is still a heck of a lot of money!!

I spent a lot of money yesterday £200 on a Carpet Shampooer and £200 on a new printer/scanner/copier when in fact there was very little wrong with my old one but my son insists on his photographs being 100% perfect and for some reason the old printer was leaving a fine line slightly lighter than the subject down the photograph, you had to look hard to see it but see it he did!! So anyone want a free p/s/c for nowt let me know. Have a good day all.
