    Good morning everyone,

We finally got some rain yesterday - all three minutes of it. Kandy, we'll see whether we get any of today's promised rain but I won't hold my breath.

My knees not any better :( but it's not any worse :yess:

I've got a couple of meetings today but they are both here so I don't have to do any travelling. I'll try and do some pottering (or tottering) in the garden, a bit of edge trimming and bindweeding. There are apples that need picking and I'll check out the pears. I'll also do my daily runnerbean picking but may get Mrs shiney to do the lower ones.

moyra, I hope your mammies are OK :dbgrtmb:

    Have a great day :D

    Morning everyone,
Moyra, I had mine done about a month ago and it was uncomfortable but worth it :sunny:
I am off swimming (we joined Greens) while OH does the gym. After that I go to my sons to help look after little man and various other jobs so another full day.
Have a lovely day everyone :sunny::sunny:

    Morning Everyone,

I asked if that would be my last mammogram yesterday and was told I can carry on having them as long as I wish but would be invited to one more before I am 70 so will have time to decide then whether to continue. My thoughts are that if I was going to have breast cancer I am sure it would have happened by now, no family history of it so really do not see the point in continuing to have mammograms.

I hoping to get some washing out in a minute so am hoping the rain will hold off.

Shiney hope that knee of yours is better today.

    Have a good day all.

Good morning Louise, Lillie and everyone,

Nice and sunny here too

Welcome, Lillie :dbgrtmb: and welcome back, Jazmine :dbgrtmb:

The beans have really gotten into their stride now and I'm picking about 15lb per day. Pears are also doing well this season and the Williams are now ready to pick. Mrs shiney picked about 50lb yesterday which have already been sold or promised to some old people (even older than us) in the village. It doesn't even seem to have made an impression on the number of pears on the tree. I may pick some Conference pears today. The apples are nice and early this year and we are already freezing some cooked cooking apples. :hapfeet:

Yesterday afternoon we had our first real rain for over a month and the garden is looking a bit happier.

    Have a great day :D

Good morning Jazmine,Shiney,Penny Louise,Moyra,Lillie,Woo the lurkers and everyone else who pops in:D

Well they got the forecast wrong with the rain. They said it was going to rain at 11am yesterday and they got it wrong.....by three minutes:heehee:I don't think it is good enough. If rain is forecast for a cretain time then it should be dead on that time not earlier or later, how rude:loll:

Anyway,it's Friday and another week has flown by so looking forward to spending some time with Mr K seeings as we don't see much of each other in the week:)

Before I go,Moyra keep having those tests done because one of Mr K's relations developed breast cancer when she was in her eighties which is quiet rare i know and it was such a shock that she deveolped it but had surgery and has made a full recovery so having the tests done isn't such a bad thing:)

Shiney, hope the knee is better today, sounds quiet unpleasant and wish you better :)

Jazmine sounds like you are busy helping your son out:thumbsup:My friend keeps trying to get me to go swimming but at our pool we have to pay parking charges and then the cost of the swim which all in all works out expensive. She suggested i go the pool where she goes with free parking and said i could go after spending time at the allotment.I don't think they would want me turning up covered in allotment dust and smelling of bonfires:heehee:

Morning Everyone, It's a lovely morning and my washing is out already, more sheets and duvet due to a certain little girl getting excited on my sons bed. You'd have thought he would learn that you cannot get her over excited whilst she is on a bed. Still at least I should get them dry.

Shiney you and Mrs Shiney sound as though you are being kept really busy with all your produce.

Kandy, yes I expect I shall keep it up, don't get much for free these days even if it's not that pleasant a test. Lol.

Have a great day everyone. Off to walk the pup.

    :sunny:Morning all:sunny:
well today I am swimming then have an hours treatment booked :)
Kandy I know what you mean about car park charges-the pool I used to go to was the same but this one is much better. I am trying to lose weight as my weight has crept up again and the hospital have advised me more than once to try and shift it. I am now with Slimming World and feeling a bit more positive :yess:

Have a lovely day everyone. The sun is shining here.
