Yawn yawn - wakey wakey..!! Mk 4

Good morning Kandy and all my other friends ,hope you are all OK and that you enjoyed your weekendwhen I first saw this morning in all its glory a poem sprang to mindeveryone have a good Monday and please stay safe.

O, to be in England
Now that April 's there,
And whoever wakes in England
Sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest boughs and the brushwood sheaf
Round the elm-tree bole are in tiny leaf,
While the chaffinch sings on the orchard bough
In England—now!

Browning lived in Italy most of his life and was always homesick for England. I don't blame him

Kandy, if you have paid sufficient NIC you will also get the full pension. I think they have dropped the number of required years' contributions from 44 to 30 - at the moment. So if you paid for 30 years you would get the full pension. Otherwise it will be a proportion of it.

Yesterday I managed to get the garden table cleaned and oiled and started pressure hosing the patio. Mrs shiney did a lot more work than me and finished potting up the 85 aquilegia plants, made 6 herb gardens in bowls, sowed more sweetcorn and more varieties of courgettes (some of the others are already up and need repotting, split up and potted up about 20 polygonatum humilis (miniature Solomon's seal) taken from a shallow bowl that we grow them in, planted out some plants and can't remember what else she did.

It rained quite heavily last night but is lovely and sunny this morning.

Good morning all my friends could,nt sleep much ,so I thought I know I will Visit GC,and then as its a lovely morning will take Gypsy and Penny for an early morning woodland walk,probably see my fox family,but will have some breakfast first and then off we go about 3am,have a lovely day everyone and please stay safe my friends

It was very windy in the night and we also had more of the wet stuff.

The forecast for today is not brilliant but I'm sure I'll get things done and the rest of the week will be good.

Kandy, I reckon they will increase pension contributions to pay for the higher pensions.

Well, there's a promise of a good sun filled day today, so I've cleaned a couple of hundred pots so that I can pot up as many seedlings as possible and be in the sun while doing it. Sunshine, gardening, and a cup of tea - what could be better?!!

It is sunny but still breezy. The forecast says quite warm which will please Mrs shiney as she has found the last two days a bit too nippy for splitting, potting and sowing.

I also had to stop pressure hosing as the wind was too strong and I was getting soaked. I hope it has dropped enough for me to carry on.

Kandy, I think you should have taken a close-up of the cat

Although it was raining yesterday morning I went out to pick rhubarb to take to the bridge club in the afternoon. I sold nearly 20lb of it for our charity. :yess:
