Thank you everyone for your very kind words and thoughts :wub2:

I'm still too emotional to say much :cry3:

When I'm feeling able I shall put him in the Rainbow Garden.

Good Morning Everyone, I am rather late on here today having taken Amber into the vets this morning for her operation.

Shiney, can fully understand you being unable to say much at the moment your loss is far to fresh at the moment.

It did give me pangs of anxiety when taking Amber into the vets this morning knowing that your taking Oscar to the vets was the last you saw of him alive. We have to phone between 1 and 2 o'clock to see how she got on and when we can go and pick her up. Just praying everything goes according to plan.

Take care everyone and have a good day, extremely foggy here still.

We have just brought Amber home. She is not really with it and hasn't eaten anything since last night. I have cooked her some fish but she is not interested and I have some fresh chicken cooking at the moment for her. I expect she will feel like eating later. I have to take her back to the vets on thursday afternoon for a check up and then again a week later. She is obviously feeling very sorry for herself at the moment and we are feeling sorry for her too.

It will take a little while for the loss of Oscar to be less raw in the meantime my thoughts go out to Shiney and his wife.

Mr. & Mrs. K. I hope you are ok too. Thanks lolimac for your kind wishes.

I do and my little lad (48yrs young) lives with me. He nearly got caught a couple of times in his 20's but fell short of marriage and now he commiserates with all his old school mates who are paying out for children and ex-wives and bemoaning the fact. I would like to see him settle down but I suspect he wont now unless it's later in life after I've gone!! I was grateful of his being here to cope with Amber today. He is home tomorrow too and goes back to work on Wednesday. I could have done with him home on thursday when I take Amber back to the vet but I shall have to manage somehow. I am pulling the plug now so take care and thanks again for your thoughts.:)

              Good morning everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around but have had a painful shoulder due to me overdoing it a bit with the compost turning at the allotment and needing to rest it a bit. I think I should have started it slowly instead of trying to do too much in one go but that is me all or nothing:D

Woo hope you are keeping well and thanks for the photo of Oscar.I am sure Mr and Mrs Shiney will love it when they are a bit more up to it:)

Moyra, glad to hear Amber went through the op ok and at least you won't have any mess from now on or dogs harrasing her when you take her out:D

Loli,we are preparing for Christmas so inbetween muscle pain issues trying to get things done.I do hate to wait until the last minute. Are you looking forward to the big day?:)

We actually have some rain but not enough to help the shortage of water we have at the moment but at least it will get rid of the fog we have had these last three days:D

              Enjoy your day everyone:)

Hi Everyone, Just to let you know that Amber is fine. Very hard to stop her doing things that she shouldn't. She really came round from the anaesthetic properly at about 1.30 this morning when she suddenly decided she was hungry. I fed her a bowl of chicken I had cooked for her earlier. It doesn't seem to be bothering her too much so hopefully she will make good progress to being fit again. Thanks for all your well wishes.

Shiney thank you for the lovely memorial to Oscar in the Pets Bereavement Garden. I am sure he is over the Rainbow Bridge now playing with all those of our beloved cats that have long gone before and are waiting for us to join them later.

                        Have a nice day everyone.:)
