    Good afternoon everyone,

    I've been in meeetings all morning and have just had my lunch. It's a nice sunny day so far :thumbsup:

    Yesterday's charity event went very well but haven't yet done the accounts for it. We had a good meal last night in good company.

    I hope to do a bit more leaf clearing before it gets too dark - but I may be too lazy :heehee:

    Kandy, I hope you get over your sore throat and cold quickly.

      Woo and Shiney thanks for your good wishes.I am still full of this cold,coughing and sneezing and now my nose is at the runny stage so have to keep using more and more tissues.:DI must be a bit run down and am just hoping I don't get laid up at Christmas with tummy bugs like I was last year:mad:

      Shiney hope your day was a good one yesterday,sounds like you are busy as usual:)

      Woo,love the lights on your house.We enjoy our evening walks at this time of the year as quiet a few of the houses in the village are lit up and I do think they look nice:D

      It is raining here this morning but at least it was dry when we went for our evening walk last night although the:DMr Kandy was also lucky enough to see a Barn Owl hovering at the side of the road has he drove up to our village last night which was nice for him to see:yess:

      Moyra and Loli hope your pets are coming on nicely and that you are both ok :thumbsup:

        Kandy, we posted at the same time. I hope your cold gets better quickly :dbgrtmb:

        I haven't looked outside yet, today, as it's too dark to see anything - but there doesn't appear to be any rain on the windows. The naughty forecasters haven't managed to get it right for three weeks now :heehee:. They're forecasting snow for us tomorrow and Saturday but I'll see whether I'm able to put the snow filters above Shineyland. :WINK1:

        I did three hours of mowing yesterday and the garden is looking quite neat :thumbsup:

        The charity bridge drive on Tuesday will end up with the charity getting about £800 :yahoo:

        This morning I have an hygienist appointment then I'm stright off to a meeting. The meeting is at lunchtime and at a pub - tough life, isn't it!! :loll:

        They are forecasting snow for us tomorrow and we were jumping up and down with delight when they said it and then Mr Kandy brought me back down to earth by telling me that we won't have a white Christmas.Trust him to ruin it for me :mad::D

        Morning Kandy I have just reread my post this morning(RE Lights)and can see that it was very misleading :o and have now edited the text,they are my neighbours lights which I put up as she is now on her own and she has lots of Grandchildren visit,I have the same lights but sadly they are now in the attic,due to the cost of the electricity ,anyway just thought I would put that straight my friend,The little children come from miles around to see them :sunny:have a lovely day and take care:)

          Just had to log back on because re reading my posts I had some spelling mistakes to rectify:D

          Woo,it is very kind of you to put up the lights for your elderly neighbours.We are old compared to most of the youngsters in our lane but I doubt very much if they would come round and stick our lights up as none of them would have a clue on where to begin:heehee:I know what yopu mean about the leccy bills.They don't get any cheaper:mad:Nice though that the youngsters get to enjoy them:thumbsup:

          Shiney our lawns could do with a last cut but it is too cold to venture out with the lawn mower and I don't really have the energy of the inclination to do it at the moment and if we get snow tomorrow it won't really matter:heehee:

          Moyra I think Amber is going to love Chriustmas and all that lovely festive nosh:D

          Enjoy your day Penny,at least you are not having deep snow at the moment.:)We are in the process of watching Ice Road Truckers that you told us about in India.Those roads are pretty scary to say the least and can undersatnd why Alec went back home:D

            Morning Kandy,

            They just finished a new season here, where Hugh, Alex and Rick are driving the ice roads in Canada....pretty scarey......so you are running a season behind us here.

            The other people stayed in Alaska, and hired 3 new drivers, Maya, Tony and Dave( what a piece of work he is)

                Woo sorry that you are getting strong winds and heavy rain at the moment and hope you don't get too wet when you are out flying today:rolleyespink:

                We have heavy snow falling as I write this post but the weather expert{Mr Kandy}says it isn't likely to settle so we shall see:heehee:On Page 46 in the Christmas edition of the Radio Times there is a lovely photo of Mr Darcey and Elizabeth {drool drool:D}

                Penny thanks for the Link.I didn't realise that they go on to do the Andes run.I had a quick look at the link you put up so look forward to seeing it but I still don't like Hugh:D

                Hope everyone else is ok and not having too much bad weather:)

                It's still too dark to see what the weather is like this morning. I can just about see that there is no white stuff on the ground and there's no rain on the windows.

                It's chiropractor day today so I had better put my thermals on as I park about three quarters of a mile from his place. The hygienists said I have been a good boy and have been looking after my teeth very well :heehee:.

                I've done the final account from our bridge drive on Tuesday and the charity will get £850 :dancy:

                Tonight, one of the bridge clubs I go to are having their Xmas party. We still play bridge but there will be a number of silly things going on :D. The club provides some booze and each member brings some sort of food to share. I've got another two of these parties on Tuesday and Wednesday.

                If it's not raining or snowing this afternoon I'll try to get some more tidying up done in the garden.

                What a busy few days ,what with working,truffle making,christmas cake decorating etc etc i'm meeting myself coming back !:phew:
                Mr lolimac is taking me for a meal tonight which i'm really looking forward to...i hope i stay awake long enough to eat it:yawn: off to work again soon and then i'l be home just in time for the next vet visit for Theo...Grandads 'baby' sitting while i'm at work:dbgrtmb:
