    Good morning everyone,

Shiney thanks for your kind words.:)

Moyra, once I have managed to get the stuff moving off my chest I shall feel heaps better.I only like strong meds when i start rattling then need something stronger to fight the bug. This is what happens when you live wit a heavy smoker for years although Mr K has packed in the weed it has caused problems for me so usually suffer in the damp winter months:mad:Hope yours clears up soon:thumbsup:

I have just been checking the Radio Times to see ifd there is anything worth watching over crimbo and I see they are running Pride and Prejudice for six hours which would please me but not Mr K:heehee:It would be nice to see Darcey:wub2: and Elizabeth again though even though I have the series on both VHF and DVD:D

We have had a lot of rain here last night but can't complain as the ground needs it but at least it has stopped now which is good:happydance:

Hope everyone has a good day:)

    Good morning everyone,

A bit damp in the night (I knew I shouldn't have drunk so much! :heehee:) but drying up now. It'll be a milder day.

I may do a bit out in the garden and a little bit of shopping - just to Sainsbury's and back as I don't do Christmas shopping. I'll phone up one of my girls to see whether they have time to give me a haircut today or tomorrow.

Keep wrapped up warm and wish you all better

    Have a great day :D

    Hi Everyone,

Kandy I am the same because of Steve being a smoker. He is basically banned to smoking in his room but it does drift out into the flat and I have given him lavendar candles to burn at the same time as he smokes to try and firstly take the smell of tobacco away and secondly to burn up the smoke before it filters out into the rest of the flat. I think I am on a losing battle though. Everytime I ask him to pack up he smokes more so now I don't say anything. All I get is that since he rolls his own they tend to go out and he doesn't smoke many a day as a consequence. Somehow I am not convinced.

Everyone enjoy your day, its a bit miserable here. But WOO I am still smiling!!:)

I have a couple errands for Brad today, and need to go to the grocery store.

Good morning everyone on this sunny and mild day :dbgrtmb: :sunny:

Our party went well at the club last night. The club supplies the drink and the members each bring food to share. It was a fantastic spread and some very interesting things to eat :D. We still play bridge but not in a serious way and we socialise whilst playing - and, of course, keep refilling our plates and glasses :yess:. Spot prizes are given for a load of silly things and and we also have a 'sin bin' where we put in money (for charity) if we do something silly with our playing of the cards - which occurs more frequently as the glasses are refilled. The 'sin bin' is a metal container so that everyone can hear when you have to put some money into it :heehee:. The treasurer deals with the counting of the money so I don't know how much we made for the charity but I guess is was about £50. Not too bad at 20p per mistake. :dbgrtmb:

We got some more tidying up done in the garden and filled up the wheelie bin with stuff that we don't compost. I pruned the 20ft bed of old fashioned dog roses which need very carefully handling as the stems are covered with thousands of thorns. The thorns are never more than an eighth of an inch apart and all round the stems :rolleyespink:.

It's shopping and a haircut for me this morning and I'm presenting a cheque to the charity this afternoon at a photographic exhibition. The MP and the media will be there so I'll have to be on my best behaviour. I've already been warned not to mess around as usual! :heehee:

      Have a great day :D

Hello everyone, much better day out there today, lots of lovely sunshine.

Shiney, glad you enjoyed your bridge party sounds like fun. Hope you got your hair cut ok.

Steve is going to relieve me of my lunchtime walk with Amber as he has some Christmas cards to deliver to two of his friends so he will walk Amber round to theirs and that should be fun as they both have Labradors of their own. Amber often sees the male one which is about 5 years old now but she has yet to meet the other bitch which is about 6 months older than her.....not sure whether they will get on or not.

Cooked a ham joint and carved it up into slices and bagged it to keep it fresh. Amber thought she was going to get the ham bone but I have thrown that the other side of the garden fence where the foxes cut through. I wouldn't risk Amber with it. Chloe my old dog used to crunch them up and leave the small splinters of bone for me to clear up but I am not sure Amber would do that. Not worth the risk.

Well have a lovely day all, not long now for the day, hope you are all ready! :)

Morning everyone, well I was not relieved of my walking duties yesterday lunchtime. Steve changed his mind and carried on sleeping whilst I was quite happy to take Amber out again. I enjoy the walk apart from the pain in my knees and ankles and legs but I am sure it is doing them good.

Well have a lovely Christmas Eve eve, if that makes sense, take care everyone, God Bless.:)
