Evening friends

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We did here with a full house. My two sons, Di and little man were here all day and we had a lovely day together. Apart from Di and me having a lovely sneezing, snorting and headachey cold

We had a lovely time in London with my sister - she is hoping to move to Spain when she retires. I will miss her so much.

Moyra,it is good that you are having a nice relaxing time as there is no point in doing to much,but at least you are getting some fresh air when taking Amber out daily

We popped out for a short while yesterday as we had some gardening vouchers to use so have bought a new feeding station for the front garden so just waitng for the birdies to find it:D

After dinner we spent two hours out in the garden having a tidy up and we have quiet a few bulbs coming up including bluebells which is far to early for them to be sprouting

Woo,hope you are keeping warm and recovering from putting up your fence panels

Penny we have just finished watching the last of the Ice Road Truckers and glad that Lisa managed to finsih her last load on her own

Its cold and blustery here....we did get some snow overnight too.

Have had a few busy days....Christmas was amazing, spent way too much money, as usual...but it was fun, and the best part is no credit card bills in January!!

 

Hi Everybody, Kandy hope your cold is on the wain. Wendy Lovely to see you here. Hope you had a good Christmas and I wish you and all my GC friends a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

Went to the hospital this morning for my annual eye check up and it appears that I shall have to have laser treatment on my eyes to stop the build up of pressure causing damage to the optic nerves. (glaucoma) Lets hope that it will be successful. Ever since my mother had an operation for her glaucoma and it went wrong and she ended up blind it causes me much anguish when it comes to my eyes. Still technology and science in this respect has moved on somewhat to when my mother had her operation. I am sure mine will go ok. My operation wont be for another couple of months so time to enjoy New Year celebrations first.

I've been off work today and off tomorrow and have done vitually nothing,apart from eatit's always very tireing especially at this time of the year trying to convince folks with dementia and altzhiemers that its christmas ,don't know that i was that sucessfull but it certainly wasn't for the want of trying....if making a fool of myself brings a smile then as far as i'm concerned ...job done....

Moyra,sorry to hear about you having to have laser treatment done on your eyes but I am sure that everything will go smoothly and you will soon be back in good health.I think the treatment these days is far more advanced so it will be a routine procedure and you will soon be back to your old self.I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you though

We are off out for a meal later on this morning as it was my fil's 92nd Birthday yesterday so family and friends are all meeting up for a nice meal.Problem is though he has a bad cold along with me and another of the relatives so we are all going to be coughing our way through the mael today:D

We have a bit of rain this morning and some breeze but have managed to get in our morning walk which was nice.I keep forgetting that not everyone is on holiday this week like us

Loli,it is a shame that so may of the aging population have dementia problems and that is one thing i dread with getting old,but it is nice that there are caring people like you in the world that makes their lives a bit better although I wish someone could find a cure for this debilitating illness:(

Its another cold and frosty morning here.....had to go out and shovel some already, need to finish that later, as well as the deck.

I'm home today, so i plan on doing some cleaning, and put away some clothes.

Its snowed a little overnight, and its slippery as heck out there....thank god for 4 wheel drive!!

Have a few errands to do today, want to get them done so i dont need to go near any stores this weekend, its so busy in town this week!!

Looks like the site is running a bit slow again so assume everyone is busy:D

Had a really nice meal out yeserday lunch time and we have just finished off the last of the turkey and lamb for our lunch so now have a bit more room in the fridge:D

We have rain here today although the breeze has dropped but now can't get out into the garden to finish off what we started the other day:DOH:

We are looking after our friends cats again so need to go and feed them three times a day again.No wonder Puddles and Bruno are getting plumper by the day

Hello Everybody, looks like more rain to finish the year off tomorrow! However, with it it is bringing warmer weather. What on earth happened to the snow they promised us, don't answer, I don't care as long as we don't get it.

Steve has gone out to dinner today and then on to the Alexandra Palace for darts finals. So not sure what time he will be home tonight or tomorrow morning. He thinks that the lads he has gone with are going to have more than their fair share of drink so I told him not to be drawn and to take it steady. Not sure he will listen to me but that means a very late morning for him tomorrow before he surfaces.
