    Good morning Loli and everyone:)

Loli I haven't been out yet as I have just got up but it is already getting light and the birdies are doing their thing with the dawn chorus so i know that spring is just around the corner:D

Glad that your chooks are ok and that Mr Foxy didn't get them in your dream:D

Hope your working days go off ok and that you have an enjoyable four days off:thumbsup:

We have had a lovely week together and it has been really nice spending quality time together:D

We had another pleasant walk round our local water but the levels are still very low and old shrubby type trees are now exposed so we got some photos for prosperity before the rain comes and fills it back up:D

Hope everyone has a good day:)

I think we all must be getting back into a routine again. Done all my housework and washing this morning and the sheets are out blowing on the line. It is not that warm out there but the sunshine is lovely.

    Have a good day everyone:)

Just ordered a new wheelbarrow so I can get on and shift all the jute bags of soil I used for growing veg in last year. Not sure I am going to reuse them this year or not. Lots of work to do in the garden. I have neglected it lately. Oh well it is going to be wet and windy tomorrow so wont be doing much outside except walking the dog.:)

    Good morning everyone,

I hope you are all getting over your coughs and colds

As usual, we've been very busy here and we've managed to get a lot of tidying up done in the garden and I had a lovely bonfire the other day. I've done an hour of work in the garden, in bright sunshine, this morning and will now have my porridge, then shower and get off for my appointment with the chiropodist.

Although there were some trees down on the roads around here there was little damage in the garden. I'm having to sort something out to have the fencing at the back of our garden made a lot higher to keep the deer out. It's going to need to go all along the back and a little bit down the side. About 100ft altogether :rolleyespink:. If it's going to be too expensive to have done professionally I'm going to have get a working party up amongst my friends.

    Have a great day :D

Morning Everyone, Shiney that sounds like a job and a half you have on there with the fencing. That is a time when a man needs some friends.

Amber still insists on her three walks a day. Steve says I have made a rod for my own back by giving in to her when she whines to go for a walk. As he says all she wants is to get out there and sniff around and see if there are any other dogs around. But amazingly she usually wants to do her toileting so how can I deny her. Obviously feeding her too much if she wants to go that many times a day. It is helping my legs to walk but I cannot pretend it doesn't hurt whether it is my ankles, feet or knees they can all be quite painful but it does keep me moving and that seems to be more important that after all was a big sway in getting another dog as well as the love that they give of course.

I am still urging Steve to give me a hand and give the kitchen a bit of a paint up. Was going to cough up for new tiles but I'll leave that to the landlady she has done 's*d' all in the 16 years I have been here.

Have a good day all and stay safe in this wind and rain.:)

It's a shame i don't live nearby Shiney,i'd have loved to have given you a hand:dbgrtmb:...you could grow some sloes along the fence line...i know they take time to grow though.....Mmm venison and sloe gin ...two of my favorites:D
Moyra i'm sorry you suffer with your joints, the stress walking dogs puts on them is more than people realise....but hopefully a lovely warm spring and summer is on it's way so it should soothe the aches....having said that my mum suffers more in hot weather:rolleyespink:
Sorry i'm not being very helpful am i:DOH:

    Hello everyone,

Well I have a very quick appointment for laser eye surgery next Tuesday to safeguard against any further damage from glaucoma. Then I have my diabetes renal eye scan on the 26th and hopefully then I should be ok for another year visually wise.

I had another bout of gout this morning had difficulty getting my shoe on to take Amber for her walk. I took lots of painkillers and managed eventually to get my shoe on and hobble her round the block for her walk. That was my fault I have been taking the tablets to prevent gout but I made a mistake and enjoyed a tangerine. Who would think one tangerine could upset the system that way. When will I ever learn.

Hope Kandy you are recovering at last from that nasty cough and cold. Hope WOO is ok as we haven't seen him for a while, hope he is not overdoing things.

Shiney, you take care trying to do that fencing on your own with friends' help. Sounds like a big job.

Lolimac Amber loves being outdoors she doesn't seem to bother much about the wind although she is not keen on the rain. I think she needs a playmate she gets fed up with me being on here and her wanting to play all the time. Better go play with her.:love30:

Take care everyone and have a good day!:)

    Good morning everyone,

Moyra, I hope your gout eases up quickly. By the sound of how many pain killers you're taking it seems that you may be floating when taking Amber out :heehee:

Loli, thanks for your nice thoughts about helping . I don't need to grow sloes as there is a 200ft stretch of them along the verge on the way to the village.

Someone came round this morning and is going to quote for doing the fencing. He reckons it is a two day job and he charges £150 per day. The materials will be expensive anyway but he may be able to get a trade discount and save a little there. I asked him to look at whther he can remove the brick gate post that I've been trying to take down. He thinks he could do that at the same time and include it in his two days charges. :dbgrtmb:

On the way back from bridge last night I nearly got hit by part of a tree coming down but managed to slam my foot down and get away from it :happydance:. I didn't know that bridge was so dangerous :heehee:

I'm off to the library and shopping now.

    Have a great day :D
