Despite the prior warnings of heavy snow, we only got a slight dusting, certainly less that 0.5cm.
It was cold overnight though - I have 2" icicles hanging from the Conservatory Window Sills.
Clear Blue sky this morning, although still very cold.

    Good morning everyone,

Good to see you, Woo :dbgrtmb:

I think we may still go on today's journey - if our road is drivable (which it isn't at the moment). It appears that the main roads are OK.

Have a restful and warm day :D

      Good morning everyone,

Snow still here. I had a hard time making sure we could get out of our driveway.

As we didn't go to Bournemouth we had people round and then we all went to the Indian. Good food, empty restaurant.

A friend has painted a wonderful picture of Oscar and I asked her to take a photo of it before she frames it. I put the picture on the bottom of my post about Oscar on the Rainbow Garden

      http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/pets-corner/36008-gc-pet-rainbow-garden.html#post483717

There were loads of birds around our feeder in the garden yesterday and as I was walking around and taking photos a robin came and sat on my shoulder. :dbgrtmb:

Have a great day, keep warm and be careful out there :D

Hello Everyone, thank you all for the birthday wishes on Saturday. Shiney sorry the weather was too unkind for your visit to Bournemouth but it wasn't worth the risk with so many daft drivers out there on the road. Lovely picture of Oscar she has captured him well.:)

Loli, I bet Archi and Theo love the snow I know Amber does.:love30:

      Have a good day all.:)

      Good morning everyone,

Still got some snow around in the village so the roads and paths were lethal yesterday now that it is starting to melt and Mr Kandy was saying that the cold spell is going to last for the rest of the month so we shall see:D

Mangaged to get some photos yesterday morning of both a male and female Bullfinch that has visited the garden and between the Redwings and Blackbirds most of my Pyracantha berries have all gone so they will be moving on soon. The Redwings were flying all round the gardens yesterday feeding up on the berries as they have already eaten all berries from the trees and shrubs the landscapers put in:D

Also found some footprints and poo in the snow in the back garden from what I think is a hedgehog so he/she must be hungry if they are venturing out from their snug hibernation:(

We also went for another good walk on Sunday afternoon in the snow along the disued railway track and it was hard work doing another 4 1/2 miles but it was another good work out although my ankle has been playing up since then so overdid it a tad I think:OUCH:

      Hope everyone is keeping warm:)

      Good morning everyone,

There's a lovely pink glow on the horizon. We had a very light dusting of snow last night but the snow had been melting a bit all day.

Kandy, you're doing very well with your walking. We don't go out walking when the ground is slippery (us oldies have to be careful) and have been too chicken to go out during the cold and windy days. So we haven't had much exercise lately. Mrs Shiney also has patients at inconvenient times - some by appointment but some that turn up on the doorstep with an emergency. She even got a phone call from a patient at 11 p.m. on Sunday! :rolleyespink:

Sarafi, the white Bengal from four doors away has been spending more time in the greenhouse and I can see him fast asleep on Oscar's piece of carpet on the top shelf. He was there when it got light enough for me to see and is still there.

Loli, enjoy your days off .

We have had loads of birds around the feeder and, at one stage, there were a dozen bullfinches at the bottom of the feeder picking up the bits that the male pheasant was dropping from the top feeder.

      Have a great day :D

      Good morning everyone,

Loli, hope you enjoy your time off from work:thumbsup:.I find it most rewarding watching the birds feeding in the garden althou I wish all these different ones had turned up the other weekend for the RSPB bird watch as there would have been a few for my list:D

Moyra,I bet Amber really enjoyed the snow as most dogs do whereas the cats seem to run a mile at the mearest flake:D

Shiney we have always been great walkers, even more so when we had our dog and are still continuing even though we only have her in spirit on the walks now:DMr Kandy is trying to lose the weight he put on over Crimbo and i have to keep exercising to keep myself as healthy as possible now I have the dreaded D diesease:(I did say to my Dr though last year that we want to keep walking for as long as we can and when we can't walk will be out on our mobility scooters:DPlease send our regards to Mrs Shiney:)

Mr Kandy is off work with a stinking cold/man flu at the moment and I am coughing well due to gunge on me chest so I sound like a frog, so need some Vic treatment me thinks like we used to have when we were kids :D

      Have a good day everyone:)

You're right about the birds Kandy,my garden has been full of them but when i did the RSPB survey there was hardly any to be seen...i've just been out to refresh thier water as that seems to be what they are hankering after......My chooks were tantrumming because thiers was frozen but they are contented again now i've sorted them out:D
