Hi Everyone, had a lovely mother's day card from Steve. Hee hee the one he bought me last year. I fished it out on Saturday and told him not to waste his money buying another one. He made me laugh when he brought it through to me this morning and said Happy Mother's Day:snork:.

We were going to go to a Toby Carvery Restaurant but I phoned the two nearest ones and neither had got pork crackling or pork for that matter so I told Steve not to bother so he surprised me by taking me down to Osbornes sea food stall in Leigh on Sea for a prawn and cockle breakfast with a nice crusty roll and a cup of tea. Lovely. We took Amber so she got her first taste of walking on the 'beach' I use the term loosly because there is very little sand and an awful lot of mud! It was crowded down there so an awful lot of people had the same idea.

We had a really heavy downpour of rain on saturday afternoon.

Kandy the decorating will look nice when it is finished. We just have the lounge side of the room to do now. I won't buy the new curtains until the room is finished. I am umming and arring on whether to get a wine colour or a jade colour to match the door colour. We are not using the jazzberry paint I bought as a contrast, we tested it and it proved too dark.

Shiney, I didn't have any problem with your photo's but it showed where you earned your bad back.:nonofinger:

Have a great day everyone. :)

Oh how lovely Loli. Amber was sick in the back of the car even though I put a cover down it didn't catch it all and I had to use the new shampooer to wash the carpet after I had cleared up the mess. I said to her what a lovely present for your Mum on mothering Sunday Amber. Bless her we cannot seem to get her used to the car. She is ok if we let her sit on the front seat which is what we did on the way down. Like an idiot I said we should try to get her used to the back seat so I took her in the back with me. I am not sure whether it is Steve's driving or whether it is the motion in the back because she is never sick when I drive but then she sits in the front of the car. So I think we shall have to let her have the front seat in future.

Hope you are all having a grand day.:doggieshmooze:

    Good morning everyone,

It is a beautiful day today with the sunshing brightly and a nice clear blue sky:snork:

Mr Kandy is off work all week using up his last days holiday before the end of the working year so it is going to be nice having him home all day so we can get things done together:biggrin:

Moyra,we use to have a sickness problem with our dog when we first had her and the vet told us it was perfectly natural for her to be car sick and that she would grow out of it which she did aged seven months.I don't know how old your Amber is now but with bigger breeds of dogs it might take longer...

Lovely though to hear about Steves card to you:snork:

Loli, glad you had a nice prezzie form your fur babies of your favourite perfume:smile:

Hope Woo,Shiney,Penny 02 and everyone else is keeping well and enjoying this lovely spring weather we are going to get all week:hapydancsmil:

    Good morning everyone,

The brilliant sunshine is gradually clearing away the heavy frost :dbgrtmb:

When it has warmed up I'll carry on with the pressure hosing. I can't do it when it's windy, which it has been the last two days, otherwise I get soaked from the spray.

I've now counted five robin nests in the garden. Two of them are quite close to each other and just outside my office window. One is in the conifer just to the right and the other is in the ivy on the wall to the left. They are only 10ft apart - and the one in the ivy is only 3ft from a wren's nest!

    Lots of ladybirds around :hapydancsmil:

Sarafi is now around here quite a lot. He sleeps in the greenhouse, wanders around and stands with his nose against the glass patio doors and miaows like mad. If we open the door he marches in as though he owns the place and will on stop still for a few seconds for a stroke. Then he walks away on an inspection. He doesn't like it when we stop him and keeps trying to get around us. He also isn't keen on being picked up (which upsets Mrs Shiney as she wants to hug him). After a short while he gets put outside and miaows at us. He'll then sit on the patio table and stare in at us.

Monty still patrols regularly and has the occasional short rest on the patio.

Fluffy only comes around occasionally and is quite nervous. I don't know whether he still expects Oscar to come out.

I find it so much easier to upload photos on this new version of the forum :yay: . It's cut it to at least a third of the time and I don't have to go through Photobucket.

Keep well and have a great day

Lovely photos of the cats Shiney. I must have a go at uploading some of Amber./

Kandy, she is 10 months now but rarely goes out in the car. I think I should take her out more often to get her used to it. As I say she is ok when I drive and she sits on the front seat but I would really prefer her to be in the back.

Have a good day everyone, the sun is shining nicely. :)

Shiney, where do I get the URL from to upload a photo, if you can tell me please. I thought it would give me a link to my pc pictures. Thanks.

I tried the upload a file and it said the image was too big, but it is only an ordinary jpg.

    Moyra,
I've been using the "Upload a File" button and had no problem. My jpg's are approx 1.5mg and load at quite a good rate.

    Good morning everyone,
It's a beautifull sunny day here too...wrapped all my seedlings up in fleece last night as the temperature did drop as forecast....
I love it when Mr Lolimac is off work...we get so much done...
Moyra we got our old dog a harness/seat belt thingy for the car but we only used it once...we'd gone for a ride and stopped off for a 'tinkle' we were only gone 2mins and when we got back to the car poor Duggy had got himself tied up in a right knot and was nearly choking:hate-shocked:bless his heart....so from then on he sat in any seat he chose:)i still miss my furry soul mate:cry3:
Shiney it looks like Oscar has sent the troops to keep an eye on you and Mrs Shiney:SUNsmile: Wishing Penny,Woo and all well....
    Take care....

I bought Amber one of those car halters she wouldn't wear it - a waste of £20. Still hopefully she will settle in time to riding in the car. Chloe used to love to go for a ride so did all my other dogs in their time. You do miss them each and every one of them be it dogs or cats they each have their own character you love.
