    Good morning everyone,

It's another very sunny morning

I got another load of pressure hosing done yesterday and hope to finish it before the ban comes in - just two weeks to go. I don't have the time to do it properly but there's an amazing amount of dirt that's coming off. By the evening I had trouble getting up from my chair but took some painkillers and went off to a bridge match. I'm feeling a lot better this morning and will be too busy today to do more so should be recovered properly by tomorrow

I got a mosquito bite on my wrist yesterday . So watch out, they're about!

I'm waiting to hear from the Flamenco dancers how much space they'll be needing on the patio (for Open Day) so we can make sure that area is clear. We'll need to move pots and some of the nursery area and I'll need to pressure that area to get it clean and tidy. They shouldn't need too large an area as there will be only three of them.

Keep well and have a great day

    Good morning everyone,

Thanks for your comments re Amber's photo. I tried to get another one up but each time it said it was too large so how I managed to get that one up I don't know.

Shiney do take care it sounds to me as if you are trying to overdo things. I am a fine one to shout my back is screaming at me this morning so is my foot. However the redecorations of the last half of the lounge/diner started again yesterday and is proceeding ahead with the lessons learned from the first half.......something about complete replastering is quicker than keep patching it all. The perfectionist will have his way. Anyone buying this place after it will be worth more than it was a fortnight ago! I expect we shall hear from the landlady by the time we have finished. I have to go out for more paint and materials and Steve has to go measure up for a proper job of his own. Hope they are not in a hurry because my redecoration may have to take second place to a proper paid job.

Have a good day everyone, the sun is shining and the gardens calling. :)

    Morning everyone.

I'm home today, so i have bedding in the wash, and plan on doing some cleaning, since its going to be another gorgeous day here.

I need to go and get some vitamin E cream today too, the Doctor told me to leave the scar alone for a week after i got my stitches out, so i'll grab some today.

Hope it is healing nicely Penny.

My first lot of peas I sowed are just coming through so I have sowed some more and I have taken a chance and sowed some carrots, beetroot and some onions. They are all under cloches so should be ok. I have also moved my tomato plants from their pots into the compost in the greenhouse where they can grow as much as they like now and also the one cucumber too. Not going to do too many this year. Thinking of taking a risk with some runner beans which I can keep covered if necessary! I did this once before and it all paid off. You can bet your bottom dollar it will be snowing next week. Lol.:loll:

    Good morning everyone,

    Another nice day.

I was on here about an hour ago and was typing a long message when my computer froze - Grrr!

Kandy, I hope Mr K gets better soon. As he's now becoming an oldie :heehee: he needs to take more care, and do some loosening up exercises before doing any work.

All of you seem to be getting on very well with your sowing. We haven't sown any seeds at all yet. Mrs Shiney has been very busy splitting, doing cuttings, potting on and tidying up the plants greenhouse, nursery beds and car port. The next job is splitting some aquilegia beidermeier ready for Open Day. We sell aquilegia in 1 or 2 litre pots and they're usually in bloom on Open Day so sell well. They vary in price from £2 - £3.50 depending on whether they're a named variety, multi-coloured, special colour (white is popular) etc. We sold about a hundred last year.

I shall probably start off the runner beans in a week or two and start some more every two weeks. I've got about 400 to do.

Keep well and enjoy your day

Kandy, hope Mr. K's back will soon be better. I have to admit I am living on painkillers at the moment. Don't suppose it is doing my kidneys much good but I suspect my pain is down to the stone in my kidney.

I have been mucking in and doing some paper and paint stripping this morning to help out the lad. It seemed a bit mean to leave it all to him. However, it is in such a state that it is taking a long time to do.

Lovely weather out there so at least we took a tea break out on the patio.

Have a good day all. :)

      Hi Shiney, Loli and Moyra,

Mr Kandy says many thanks for your kind words and he has been trying to do some exercises today to try and help his back but if it doesn't get better I can't see him going back to work on Monday.I had to pop out today and I did smile when i got back home to see him hobbling round the house with two walking sticks. He looked just like an eighty year old:snork:

I wasn't very happy though when he shouted to me from upstairs so I ran up the stairs as fast as I could thinking he had fallen over and needed help but all he was shouting to me about was the fact that he could hear a Cuckoo{1st one this year} calling as he had the ensuite window open while he was having a shave:nonofinger:

Shiney,we only have peppers growng at the moment and have sowed no other seeds although we got the shallots and onions planted out the other week:snork:

Moyra, one of Mr Kandys work colleages as kidney stones and has had to have Lithotrispy{sp} work done to break them up and when they start passing out of his body he is in terrible pain and thinking about it it must be worse for men to pass them than for us women.I do hope that you can get your sorted in the end and you can once again be pain free:smile:

Loli,I do hope you never get stricken with back opain because it is a terrible thing. My sister is suffering with her back at the moment, but she does the wrong thing and takes to her bed:nonofinger:

I have heard nothing from Woo for nearly a week so I do hope he is ok.I sent him mail asking him if he is ok but have heard nothing back up to yet:sad:
