Good morning Kandy, woo and everyone,

My back has eased up a bit  but the things I wanted to do during the next few days have to be put on hold. I wanted to get some more hedge cutting done and start pressure hosing the patio.

Our outing to Myddleton House Garden was interesting. It was the home of E A Bowles, the famous plantsman. He had lots of plants named after him and has an area at Wisley named after him as well. It was a bit early in the year for much to be seen but it still took us a couple of hours to look round. I haven't looked at my photos yet.

I hope to finish off sorting out the pots today but am not sure I'm up to reorganising the shed to get them in there. I've already sorted and stacked away about 2,500 3.5" pots. They didn't take up too much room but the bigger ones are going to take a lot of space.

    Have a great day

    Good morning Kandy,Woo and all....
Glad you got your specs sorted out Kandy :dbgrtmb:
I hope your back has improved today Shiney and you enjoyed your day out:dbgrtmb:
I made good progress in the garden yesterday, completely dug my 'buzzy' border over and divided the hardy geraniums and sowed Nigella, cornflower and poppy seeds...i've got cosmos and rudbeckia ready to prick out in the greenhouse and the verbena and fennel are shooting up:hapydancsmil:...all this to the sound of frogs croaking in the pond, there seems to be lots this year...all playing piggy back:heehee:and a nice big clump of frogspawn to prove it ...spring is definatley in the air for sure:)...
Wishing Moyra,Penny ,Woo and all well...
    Have a lovely day everyone:SUNsmile:

Hello Everyone, Sorry I have been absent really been a bit under the weather. Shiney I hope your back is better today. I think I have had enough of this decorating and we are not half way across the lounge/diner. The dining room side is nearly done but just when I think we are nearly there Steve says I am not happy with that wall it will have to be rubbed down again! You would think he was decorating Buckingham Palace rather than a flat that hasn't seen any work done by the landlady in 23 years. Trouble is over the years I have just slapped another coat of paint over the top and now has come the time of retribution for my sins. I think Steve is wishing we just put yet another coat of paint over the top but we couldn't because the paper was coming away from the walls in places and was looking very tatty. He is taking it a bit easier today and then tomorrow he is going to finish the dining room side of the room. Get straight and leave the lounge side for a week's rest before starting again. It's the dust that is getting to me.

Oh Loli if you had seen Amber this morning she was black instead of a lovely light yellow labrador. I took her across the field with a chap who had a year old Lab/collie cross and boy did they have fun. I had to bring her back and put her into the bath and shower her off. Mind you she enjoyed being dried with the hair dryer! I have sown some pea seeds and my sweet peas as well under cloches. So its a start.

Have a good weekend all. :)

        Good morning everyone.

What a lovely day we had yesterday with the lovely spring weather although at times it got a bit warm but we wasn't complaining.:hapydancsmil:

Managed to get to the lottie in the afternoon and Mr K managed to get planted all the onion sets plus the shallots while i did some weeding. We saw our first butterfly of the year and the bees were loving our Mahonia flowers we have planted on the lottie:snork:

I'm off to the surgery this morning for my six monthly bloood tests so am starving hungry at the moment and won't be getting my breakfast until after ten:frown:

Hope everyone is ok and getting on with those DIY and other tasks that need doing this time of the year:snork:

It is misty here this morning so is bound to be a hot day later on.

        Good morning everyone,

It was a beautiful day yesterday :dbgrtmb:. I got part way through doing the pots but my back gave out on me and I had to give up. I'll continue today . It turns out that when I've sorted all those I won't be finished as Mrs Shiney said there are hundreds of pots (and pot trays and seed trays) under the greenhouse bench. On the up side - once I've got those sorted as well there will be plenty of room to stack all our big pots and the trays. At the moment they take up about a 15ft run under the bench. :hate-shocked:

Barry is gradually getting his place sorted out (Eric and his nephew are doing the humping around) and he's told me that although there's lots to do it's beginning to look better. He phoned me yesterday saying that he's received a number of letters from debt collectors addressed to 'The Occupier'. I'll be on the phone this morning sorting all of those out.
Unfortunately his budgie died on Saturday (it had been ill for about a week) and the breeder said he can't have one ready for him until June as all the current broods have been integrated to be with other budgies. Barry will only get his budgies from that breeder so is prepared to wait.

I hope that all of are feeling better this morning

        Have a great day

Hello Everyone, Lolli glad you enjoyed your night out. I am like you rather stay in and enjoy GW but sometimes we need that push to see some of the outside world. Glad you are making progress with your buzzy border think it is going to look lovely when all the flowers are in bloom.:doggieshmooze:

Kandy, glad you got your eyes sorted and that your retinal scan was good. I hope that patch that is the making of a cataract takes its time to develop!:)

Shiney, I empathize with you over your back mine is pretty bad at the moment. I am also suffering some lower abdomen pain and am wondering if the kidney stone is on the move. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Steve is just finishing off the dining room side of the room this morning after further rubbing down etc. I have ordered a heat gun to help clear the second half of the room when we make a start presumably in a week or so time as we cannot leave it looking half done for ever. We shall be putting the furniture back and in this week of rest I shall be going looking for some new curtains. They are likely to set me back the best part of 4 or 5 hundred pounds but the landlady's ones of 23 years are in tatters. I washed and pressed them but I cannot do anything with them. Ho hum haven't heard anything from her in the last 2 years since she told us we were her priority..........that's a good joke. :heehee:

Going to roll up my hosepipe and put it away in the shed. Have ordered a new 100 gallon water butt and stand. Hope that together with another couple of water tubs will be suffice for my needs.

Have a good day everyone. :)

            Morning everyone,

Its another beautiful day here, it did get cold overnight though....but today is going to be sunny and warm, we are breaking records all over for the temperatures here.

Yesturday went well at the Doctors, she took the stitches out, a few hurt and did bleed, but the rest came out pretty easily....so now i have to put lots of vitamin E on it to help with the scar.

Off to Toronto again today, right down at the CN Tower actually.......so enjoy your day everybody.

            Good very late morning :heehee:

I've been very busy sorting out odd jobs around the garden, carrying on with the pots - I've cleared all the area behind the summerhouse of pots and pressure hosed it. I've still got to sort the bags of pots in the car port and the ones under the greenhouse benching.

Here's a photo of some of them I've cleaned up (this is after I've put 3,000 x 3.5" pots in the shed)

Got to start on dinner before getting ready to go to bridge.

            Have a good evening

              Good morning everyone,
I've had a meeting this morning and have two more this afternoon  (just as the sun has come out). I'll have to leave early for the afternoon meetings as they are at GSK (GlaxoSmithKlein) and it takes quite a bit of time to get through security - I must remember to have my innocent look on my face :heehee:

I wish you all well and have a good day
