Hello Everyone, Hope you are all ok. My word you all seem to have been very busy as bees. I think I must pot up my tomato plants and also the cucumber into bigger pots and then prick out the tobacco seedlings too. No sign of my peas or sweet peas coming through yet, bit too early probably. Have a good day everyone.:)

    Good morning everyone,

Sorry havn't been around much this week but my aches and pains have got the better of me due to the damp weather and not sure whether sitting hunched over the computer is adding to the problems:frown: .I will try to have a read back over the weekend and answer everyones posts:snork:

Two pieces of good news though my latest blood results have come back and my HbA1c is down to 5.4%{5.7%October 11}and my latest Cholesterol reading much to Mr Kandys disgust is 4.2:loll: I told him he should get his bum off of the office chair more often and do more exercise like I do all day:snork:

It is cold here today, much like it has been all week but at least the fog has now gone thta we have had all week long.Rain is forecast for the weekend so it will help the water supplies but our ground is already damp from the rain we had the other week, plus me and Mr K chucking out the washing up water etc so we are doing our bit:snork:

Hope everyone is keeping well and that you are all looking forward to the weekend like I am

    Good afternoon everyone,

I've just got back from taking Mrs Shiney's car for a new battery. She couldn't start it this morning and I called the AA out. He checked it, gave it a full charge and then checked it again. I think the technical term he used for it was 'knackered' :heehee:. It was 11 years old so I suppose we can't complain - but I can have a good grump!

I'm going to go out now and do a bit more pressure hosing. I would normally have given my back a bit of a rest but, as the hosepipe ban starts in less than three weeks time, I haven't got a lot of time to do it.

Kandy, that's good news about your tests :dbgrtmb:

Moyra, I hope things are looking up for you

Kepp well all of you and have a good day

Hello everyone, I am rather late on parade today. Very tired but got all my sheets washed and almost dry. It was a fight between the dampness out there and the bit of wind. Fortunately the wind won.

Congratulations Kandy on your readings that is good particularly the cholesterol one.

Mrs Shiney's battery did well Shiney. My Steve changed the battery on his transit that had been on the van for nearly 12 years, he has kept it as a spare for his fishing trips.

Well between Essex Water and Anglian Water they are taking £500 a year for water and then have the audacity to put in hose pipe bans. Next they will be taxing me on my new water butt. Still at least I am prepared for the drought.

Shiney, has Barry got himself straight now and settled into his new home?

    Have a good day all.

Woo, I hope you get sorted out soon :dbgrtmb:

Moyra, at the moment I'm getting one phonecall a day from Barry with things I have to sort out. Lots of forms that need filling in (I'll go in to town and do them sometime next week) and letters to write. One of the forms is to say that he no longer needs housing benefit at his old house and another is to apply for housing benefit for his new place - he also has two forms to do the same for his Council tax. As they are both Council houses, the benefit forms are from the Council and it was the Council who insisted he move and they then arranged the removal, you would have thought they might have been able to save all this work. Not on your life! :nonofinger:

Then his Road Fund Licence details (for his mobility scooter!!!!) needs to be re-registered under his new address. He doesn't want to have his gas and electricity from the existing suppliers (EON) and wants them both from British Gas. As both suppliers have (and will have) control of both utilities it would seem that just one form would be needed - you must be joking :wallbanging:. Not only do they require two separate forms but they won't even be changing the gas and electric over on the same day :mute:. I think I'll stop now.

Keep well and Sleep well

Oh Shiney, Perhaps I shouldn't have asked!:doh:You are good to him as you say the Council do not make it any easier. I hope your back is on the mend Shiney.

Hi Lolli, yes I am fine thanks apart from my back and legs but they go without saying.
Hope things are well with you and the boys.

Kandy, hope you and Mr. K are all right and you too Penny and Wendy if you are looking in.

Take care everyone. Have a HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!:hapydancsmil::ccheers: :dbgrtmb:

      Good morning everyone,

We didn't get the promised rain yesterday although it was damp out there for most of the day. This morning we have brilliant sunshine (they forecast rain again) so when it has warmed up I'll carry on doing the patio. My back isn't too bad so I'll just be careful about how much I do.

Keep well, and I wish you all better.

      Have a great day

      Good morning everyone...
I got lots done in the garden yesterday...there's plenty more i want to do today aswell...more sowing ,pricking out and potting on which will be easier as me and Mr Lolimac did lots of digging out of old shrubs ready to renew the path down the side of the house....i emptied out the last dregs from the water butts but last night and overnight we had quite a heavy down pour :dbgrtmb:
      Enjoy your day everyone...take care:SUNsmile:

      Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is keeping well and the ladies with family are enjoying a nice relaxing day being looked after and spoilt rotten:snork:

Shiney, sounds like you are busy at the moment with the pots and with helping Barry.I couldn't see the work you have done as the photos are so small I would need a large magnifying glass to see them.:snork:Bit pointless on a gardening forum to have small pics but hey ho who i am i to complain:snork:

Moyra, sounds like the decorating is coming on well and your Steve sounds like my hubby in sanding the walls to make them look half decent and it will all look lovely once it is finished and you get the new curtains up.It would be nice if the landlady would reimbuse you for all the money you have spent on her house but I don't expect that to happen:frown:

Loli, sounds like you have been busy with all your seed sowing.I have only put in pepper seeds up to yet which are just starting to show through the compost:snork:

Woo,sorry to hear your going to have to go into hospital my friend and hope that you don't have to wait to long and that you will soon be back to full health :dbgrtmb:

Mr Kandy went to the dentist on Friday as a crown/cap has broken off of one of his teeth and after having the dentist freeze his gums then spent a long time trying to pull out the remains of his tooth decided it is going to have to be a hospital job as the remains of the tooth has gone all mushy and he couldn't get a grip with the pliers so now Mr Kandy is in a state whittling and worrying about going to hospital:eeew:

We have had some rain overnight so I expect my waterbutt is topped up again, but at least we got in a nice walk in yesterday round our local country park which was very nice as it was walking on grass in parts which was gentle on my feet:snork:

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Sunday in all that you do:smile:

Kandy, I posted the photos full size and they appear full size on my screen

Message to all - can you check how it appears to you? The photos are on page 6 (previous page) of this thread.

      Hi Shiney,

Sorry to be slow getting back to you but we had to pop out on an errand and have just got back:snork:

I have just had a quick look on page six{6}and the photos are all looking the correct size{large}.It might have been because I was reading the thread before logging on trying to catch up,the photos were showing as small rectangular photos so it was hard to pick out what the photos were of:oopss: :snork:
