I hope those who are away are enjoying their holidays and the weather is being good for them. It is a beautiful morning here but the wind is quite keen. Still rather that than too hot. Still no rain though so will have to do the watering of the potted stuff. Have a good day everyone and take care of yourselves.

Morning all

Same here with the lack of rain, moyra; I'll ask Mr Mum to drag the hose out tonight so I can hose up the back end of the garden.

Need to have a baking day today not a gardening one; the chooks are beginning to slow down on egg production so I'm not giving many away lately but want to use them up on bakes I can freeze for when they stop laying completely next month. Although the ducks will still lay through the winter, so I won't be completely without.

Its going to be a hot day here, watered everything really well, since we are leaving around 12pm to get Kait at University.

I have a few errands to do this morning for Brad.....thank god for air conditioning!!

Anyhow.....i am off to do a load of laundry, and then off for the morning.....so have a great day all.

 

Good afternoon from a sunny,cloudy,windy,six spots of rain today Isle of Wight

Hope you are all well and having good weather wherever you may be on this beautiful island called blighty

We arrived safely on Saturday which means the boat we were on didn't sink

Got pitched ok although we couldn't pck our spot because the site was fully booked due to lots of people taking up the £1 per night pitch fees,but the spot we are on is ok and we have birds feeding on all the food i put out for them each day {nearly as bad as at home}

I can't stay on the net long as my time is running down so will try to get back on later on in the holiday

Oh and by the way we have walked 9.5miles since we got here and cycyled 12 miles which is good despite Mr Kandy having a dodgy tum due to the stong meds he is on so having to take it a bit easier than normal...

The sun has just come out after a very wet day but even though the sky has looked very moody it still looked beautifull round here

Hope the baking has gone according to plan Mum...my chooks slow down but haven't stopped laying in around 6 years...but they are hybrids...whilst we're away my chooks 'grandad 'are looking after them and i think they are leading him a right dance...my dads hearing is all but gone and his sight is'nt too good either...so Ada and Mabel took the opportunity to take advantage of this and sneak into my veggie corner i think my poor dad is having kittens but told him not to worry...what's a few carrot tops between chooks.... annnd....Daisy won't go to bed...but thats my fault every night they congregate at the kitchen door and wait for mamma to take them to bed ...talk about take advantage of your grandad...Hmmm i remember it well

morning all ... well i should have worked the night shift ! midges ate my for the supper at the plot last night so i have been scratching like a fool ( i know i shouldnt but it feels sooooooooooooo good )
then i had nightmares about spiders biting me , then the grand daughter wakes up and screams her house down ( there is a down side to living next door to the daughter) so house has been tidied and i am waiting for the sun to rise so i can go to the plot ! sleep and me dont seem to be working tonight again ,,,,, i am making a new shed up the plot so at least i have something to keep me busy ......

I love the change of colours and the foggy kinda light in the early morning (my favourite time of day) I'm off work at the moment so I took dog and camera for a walk....
