    Aloha, woo and everyone.

Woo, you take care and don't overdo it :)

Today is going to be a bitty day. This morning I have to go to the village hall to meet someone who things she lost her ring when washing her hands yesterday evening! Then I'm off to the chiropodist and then shopping. Once back home I shall be helping Mrs S make sandwiches for the W.I. meeting - they take it in turns and it's my turn :heehee:

Saturday Mrs S is having a coffee morning to show all the crafts she does and try and sell some - they make very good Christmas presents. We expect a lot of people so it takes a lot of organisation. Fortunately, some of our friends who help us with Open Day will come over to give a hand. I'll have to plan the food as I shall be making lunch and dinner for the helpers.
Most of the organisation for Sunday's bridge tournament is now done and I'm getting the paperwork ready. It just leaves me to pick up the trophies tomorrow, Friday morning we have about three hours of solid work finishing the preparation and Sunday morning we have to set up the village hall for the tournament.

I thought that being retired would be relaxing!

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha everyone,

Nice sunrise again WOO. I understand the rain won't come in here until late evening which is a blessing has I have one lot of washing out on the line and both sets of sheets etc in the washing machine 'cooking' as I type. So hopefully shall get them out and dry before the rain comes over. Tomorrow is going to be a wet day too. So hopefully Shiney you will not have to get the hoses out.

Loli glad your ribs are a bit easier, you will have to take it easy though for awhile before you get involved in too much digging and preparing onion beds though.

I have recently put up a new wooden arch too WOO to replace an old metal one that rusted away so I already have my roses in situ. One a Paul Scarlet rambler and the other Masquerade which I love because of the way it changes colour from bud to full blossom. Then I have a golden showers the other side of that up the wall of the flat.

I hope all our other lovely friends are doing ok, in particular Kandy's poppy I do hope she is responding to the new tablets. Have a great day all and do look after yourselves please.

    Aloha!:wub2:

    Aloha everyone.

Just come back from a morning out to Marlborough, a town about 20 miles away, did a bit of shopping, had a lovely coffee and frangipani cake. Weekly run to Tesco's on the way back. Put it all away, now having my lunch, and looking at the post. Everyone seems busy in their own way, so be careful and safe with what you are doing.

Dry day ahead, might try and get out in the garden this afternoon, depends on how I feel, and what time I wake up after my forty winks.

    Bye for now.:doggieshmooze:

    Hope everyone is ok.
Woo, looking forward to seeing some pics of your handiwork - I hope you take a teabreak!
Shiney, mine are the tight compression stockings, I got two pairs on prescription after being measured at the hospital. They are difficult to get on and off and I have to cream my legs with stuff that looks like lard :snork:

        Aloha everyone,

I think I had best make the most of this sunny morning as the forecast says rain. I finally finished the pressure hosing of the rest of the patio and gave the area that I had already done a couple of months ago another quick going over. It took me three hours but it looks good, and I can put the machine away for the winter.

I'll have to do the shopping for the weekend and I hope to find time to get my hair cut. So what I do today very much depends on what mail I get this morning.

Jazmine, if your stockings are the open toe type you should be able to get a little silk sock that the manufacturer makes that helps get the stockings on (they used to come in the box with the stockings). The sock just covers the toes, top of foot and sole of foot right back to the heel. It doesn't come up the back of the heel or the sides. You put that on first and then slide the stocking over it. The stocking slides easily over it and when you have the stocking pulled up you can simply pull the sock out through the hole by the toes.
You should be able to get it from your doctor. Mediven make it (and the stockings) and they call it the 'Mediven Easy-on slipper'. If you want to get it and the surgery don't know what you're talking about I can get you more details or you can phone Mediven on 01432 373500

Keep well everyone and have a great day

        Good morning everyone,
The sun is out again today but the sky is slowly changing from blue to grey....so i think the forecast just might be right...for a change...i'll do a little bit of pottering again this morning before it starts raining...i really want to get stuck in but i don't want to push my luck:wallbanging:...
        I wish everyone well:wub2:
Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone!

WOO our arches are very similar. I certainly hope mine is going to last longer than the metal ones which only seemed to last about two to three years at most.

Shiney, glad you got you power hosing done ready for the winter.

Loli, hope your ribs are still improving.

Kandi, I hope Poppy is recovered enough for her operation. When she going to have the op?

Waves to Penny, Kaz, Lili and Mum. Where are you all? Do take care of yourselves everyone please and have a good day.

        Aloha!:wub2:

Jazmine, I've managed to get hold of one of those Easy-on slippers if you'd like me to send it to you. Let me know.
