    Aloha Everyone,

At least I am here early today to make up for yesterday! I don't think it is quite so hot out there this morning. Have a load of washing in the machine hope I am going to be able to get it dry as I really do believe we may have some rain today!

And talking about the possibility of rain I had better get my skates on and take Amber for a walk before it does.

Have a great day everyone and take care of yourselves.

    Aloha!:wub2:

    Aloha everyone,

It's a busy day today and I've got to start it off with trying to find a leak in one of our hoses. When Mrs Shiney was watering the plants yesterday the pressure was right down. I'll check the water pressure first but reckon it's a problem with the hoses. That can be a tedious job and not good for my back . I'm going to have to turn the tap on and then pick up the hoses which are nearly 400ft long and half of them are hidden under hedges. I've already checked the connections and didn't find any problems.

Then I've a meeting and shopping to do this morning followed by running the bridge club this afternoon. I'll be taking 34lb of beans to the club and see how much I can flog. I need some more thin plastic veggie bags for the beans which Mr Sainsbury supplies for me - but he doesn't know that! ;) :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha everyone,

Another wonderful sunny morning with not too much heat today :dbgrtmb:

Mrs Shiney is a very happy bunny :dancy:. I'll wake her up soon as we have to go out at 9.30. and drive to the other side of the county and back. Then it's lunch with friends at a posh place near us that have a special offer on at the moment.

I spent time checking all the hose yesterday and couldn't find a leak but it was still running with low pressure out of the hand held spray near the house . I then decided to check how the pressure was out of the hand held spray (identical make) down by the veg garden. The two hoses are coming off the same tap with a Y connector.

The spray at the veggie end was working OK. So I swapped the two sprays over. This couldn't possibly make any difference as the hoses are on the same tap and the sprays are identical - but if the possible doesn't work then....!!!

They both worked perfectly   Don't know why but I'm not complaining :)

I sold all the runner beans yesterday so another £34 for the charity. I'm now picking approx 17lb a day but the hot sun and drought are affecting them. Some of them are trying to go to seed. I'll leave the sprinkler on them whilst I'm out today. Apart from the drought they also need more water as each plant is up to 20ft long!

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha Everyone,

Just worn myself out playing with Amber. To stop her digging where she shouldn't she has her very own sand box. So I have been hiding one of her balls in the sand and then telling her to find it. She loves that game and can keep you at it for ages. The general idea was for her to be taught how to find truffles. We even bought some truffles in a jar and put the smell of them round the jar and taught her how to find them in the sand hoping that in future Steve would take her out to the woods and get her to dig for truggles under the trees, that seems to have gone by the bye! Steve has no work on at the moment so he has taken himself up the local lake for a few hours. He has said he may stay into the evening but I am not sure his back will let him.

Have a good day everyone. Waves to Shiney, Kandy, WOO, Peny Kaz and Loli. Take care all.

    Aloha!:wub2:

      Aloha Everyone,

Shiney, hope you got your hoses all sorted out now. I hate having to use mine as it forever gets bent double in places and doesn't want to open up properly.

WOO, Thank you for the lovely Hollyhock. Mine hasn't done too well this year!

Kaz, is your mother still visiting or has she gone home now?

Ha ha, Loli yes the dogs do make you laugh when they are having fun. Glad Daisy is pleased with herself.

Take care of yourselves and have a good day.

      Aloha!:wub2:

morning all, a bit slow today (worked last night)

Hi Moyra Mam was only here for the day, a good day was had by all but she was exhausted, next time she might stay over, it was just lovely to see her here for the first time in nearly four years !, Amber seems to keep you well entertained, i miss that from a dog a cat plays much more discretely (usually when i am nodding off in the chair)

hope Mrs shiney is basking in the glory of her prizes, she is given Woo some competition :snork: and Dont over do it with the new boarder

waves to every one else have a wonderful day and be blessed in all you do beautiful day.jpg

          Aloha everyone,

Woo got his prizes for his whole garden :dbgrtmb: whereas Mrs Shiney got prizes for bits from our garden - plus her craft skills

I've been at the village hall this morning helping to spring clean it (yes, I know it's now summer :heehee:)

I think I'll get a load of mowing done today so I had better get started.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!
