Shiney, thank you soooo much but I do have one. It came with my stockings and although the hospital showed me how to do it I get on better just doing it my way. I am sooo relieved to get them off at night though. Ooops that doesn't sound quite right :snork:
Laughing at Woo, we women never start do we?
Hello everyone else here, have a lovely evening.

Hello everyone, I am here at last.

Had a very busy morning, making chutney's for a couple of Christmas Fayre's that we are going to. (Plum with Hoisin, Carrot and Pumpkin with Carraway seeds)
Tidied up my labels box, and sorted out my plant diary and seed box. Prepared fabric for my husband to cut up for tops of my jars.

Making Pastrami,Mozarella and Cherry Tomatoes, in Italian Bread, baked in the oven.

Trying to have a quiet evening, watching the TV, rain has finally subsided, but it's already quite dark, and I am feeling cold already. Pyjama's coming out of drawers, and lambswool slippers on tonight.

When my husband had to wear stockings after his Bypass surgery, the nurse who came to see him suggested wrapping his legs in plastic carrier bags, then slide the stocking up, but it did'nt work very well.

Still, hope you are all ok this evening, by the way, loved the owl. xxx:stirpot:

                      Aloha everyone,

Woo, that sounds like a good idea :dbgrtmb:

Jazmine, a lot of people that wear the stockings have trouble getting them on and off (it certainly doesn't help if you've got cream on your legs as the stockings stick to the cream if the cream is thick). If you have Mr J to help you it can be easier if you turn them inside out. The outside is slightly smoother than the inside. So, when pulling them on (which is difficult for someone to help you with) they slide a bit better. Taking them off is a little more difficult but if you have someone to help pull them off (Mr J) it's a lot easier. I pointed this out to the vascular consultant about 15 years ago and she has recommended it ever since. Or, you could get hold of the Mediven 'Butler' which is the metal framework that helps you get the stockings on.

Lili, you obviously enjoy making chutneys :). We don't have those sort of things in the house as Mrs S loves them - but is diabetic.

The next few days are going to be really busy ones for me.

I hope everyone and their furries are feeling better.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Aloha!

                      Good morning Woo and everyone,

Having trouble waking up in the mornings now we have the dark mornings:eeew:

Very busy at the moment with the lottie {until the rain started:snork:}and have also been preparing our damaged apples for freezing and shallots for pickling plus household jobs so there dosn't seem enough hours in the day:biggrin:

Poppy is on one tablet a day {Vildalta 10mg} for a month to try and stabalize the condition enough for them to operate as the heart is racing so much and the weight dropping off of so fast because the metabolism is speeded up as well, her body needs to be in a condition for her to survive the op.

Shiney i asked the vet about taking the bloods from the neck and the vet said that because the veins are smaller in the leg then the veins can collapse so they now take the blood from the neck.I also asked why Poppy has two wounds in the neck and was told that when they first attempted to take the blood the needle was being stuck in the nodule:ouch1: and not the vein so they had to try again:eeew: I just hope and pray they get it right on the day and that they don't damage the Parathyroid:ouch1:as that can cause more problems:sad:

Anyway,we have rain today so am going to stay indoors and get some old paperwork sorted and shredded so hope you all have a very good day:smile:

                      Good morning everyone,
I hope you are all well:dbgrtmb:
We have several clients at work that wear 'stockings' and i'm always afraid of nipping their skin when putting them on them....but we get there in the end:)....after doing this 6 or 7 times a day i could do with a lie down:heehee:
We had rain overnight but not as much as forecast thankfully....My ribs are improving by the day:dbgrtmb:...still uncomfortable but if i don't do anything silly i'll soon be back on track...
I love the idea of seperate 'rooms' in a garden Woo...i've tried it where my summer house is...but this year what with all the rain we've had the shrubs have grown quite large and are blocking out too much sun so i have 2 roses to move...i should have planned it better but it's not a problem besides it's a good excuse to create a new rose bed;)
Thyroid problems do take a while to get on an even keel,i know by my mum...but thankfully all is well thus far:dbgrtmb:

                      Waves to all,
Have a good day and take care:SUNsmile:
