    Aloha everyone!

Shiney, did you discover what had been digging up your front lawn, fox maybe?
I hope you are continuing to improve.

Kandy, pleased to hear Poppy is progressing and hopefully she will soon start to put on a bit of weight. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

I walk Amber normally three times a day, early morning, mid day and then between four and five o'clock. Sometimes a 4th walk if she failed to do what comes naturally to a dog. Sometimes Steve will take her on the 4th walk and often if he has been out to darts he will take her across the green when he comes in around midnight.:doggieshmooze:

Loli, glad your ribs are beginning to feel a lot better, keep up the good work and don't overdo things.

    WOO what a beautiful rose. I assume it is a T rose.:hapydancsmil:

Waves to Kaz, Penny, Lili, et al and hope you are all keeping well and looking after yourselves.

    Aloha!:wub2:

      Aloha everyone,

I hope everyone is feeling well to day - including Loli, silly girl!!! :heehee:

I'm gradually getting better and I'm not wobbly today. Well, no more than usual - note to self: must lose a bit of weight :snork:

I'm getting over the touch of phlebitis I've had. :blue thumb:

I had a very busy day yesterday.

Went to Barry early in the morning to sort out a load of forms - another one about his Blue Badge, one from his utility supplier offering him special terms if he signed up for on-line billing (he is not allowed to use a computer and I've already negotiated a cheaper rate than they were offering), a form from the local authority offering to put him on the 'special needs' list so that they can keep a check on him if there are problems in the area (he's already on the list and I have acknowledgement of it) and a form from the post office offering him stamps at last year's prices if he shows his DLA form at the post office. All these things get him worried that he might make a mistake with them!

From him I went on to a meeting on a narrow boat on the river. The boat (one of four) belongs to a charity that hires them out, at a very reasonable price, for day trips and short holidays for disabled people. It's run by volunteers who are excellent at looking after them boats and running the trips but are not very good at publicity and running the business. I set up the meeting, for businessmen (and women) to show them about the charity and to try and get the charity a couple of trustees who could organise the business side of the charity.

We may have got them a new trustee (retired bank manager) and definitely got them some publicity as some of the people that were there were going to hire a boat for meetings and corporate jollies. One of them was also organising a Christmas day out on the river for her family (the boat takes 10 people). I'm looking into whether the charity I support could make use of the boats for their people.

From there I went straight to another meeting, at the town hall, and got home with just enough time time to cook a meal before going to the bridge club to run a competition. Got home at 11.30 p.m. and had a nice cuppa and some apple crumble followed by four hours of relaxing with a book and the TV. :dbgrtmb:

Moyra, the consensus of opinion on here is a badger. I'm going to get some Jeyes fluid and spray it (very dilute) around the boundary of the garden as I'm reliably informed that badgers don't like it.

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Aloha everyone,

Posted a long post this morning and it has disappeared!:cry3:

Probably because I was admonishing you Shiney for overdoing things. So I save my breath this time and just say please take things more quietly stop stretching the elastic.

Loli, glad you are on the mend too. Hope WOO is ok?

Waves to Kandy, Kaz, Lili, Penny et al. Have a good day all please.

      Aloha!:wub2:

Hi everyone, Not done too much today, Did the usual laundry and got that dried.

Made a batch of Mandarin marmalade, and prepared another batch for Friday.

Whilst sitting at my computer this morning, something was moving out of the corner of my eye, and it was 6 or 7 flying ants. I thought the season should be over for them?

Just coming over very dark now, so we are probably going to have a good downpour.

Waiting for the chicken breast to bake(wrapped in bacon, sprinkled with cheese, and my husband likes it with a barbecue sauce.

Well, everyone, have a good evening, I shall raise a silent cheers to you all when I open my bottle of wine.:doggieshmooze:
