    Aloha Everyone,

Good on you Shiney getting to the alarm before it repeated. You have been mighty busy in the garden. I love your garden but I do not envy you the work involved. Did the new gardener not work out?

Loli it is difficult with the early dark evenings to have to get the girls to bed earlier. I meant to say to Shiney, he could shoot the badger and plead guilty but had thought it was a fox he was firing at. Lol. Some difference unfortunately.

Kandy, hope Mr K is feeling better today. My back is still very sore. Mustn't sit here for too long.

Have a good day everyone and take care and look after yourselves please.

    Aloha!:wub2:

Moyra, I suppose I could claim bad eyesight for the mistake :heehee:. On second thoughts, better not, or they might take my driving licence away.

We now have Janina helping us in the garden but most of the work still has to be done by Mrs Shiney and myself. We were told by a professional gardener that it would take at least two full days per week, 52 weeks per year, for him to keep the garden looking OK. :hate-shocked:

Actually, I would say it depended on whether you wanted to keep it as natural as yours is or whether you wanted it done up so neat and sterile that it would lose its aesthetic feeling of natural beauty. No I am sure with Janina's help you will manage and keep it as welcoming as it was when I saw it last spring.

    Aloha everyone,

Thanks Moyra :dbgrtmb:. It takes a lot of work to keep it looking the way it does :). Most of our neighbours have their gardens looking neat and sterileand some of them only take a quarter of the work that our's does.

I'm off for my regular trip to the chiropractor this morning. That takes the whole of the morning as he's two towns away.

I hope all of you and your furry/featheyr friends are well

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha Everyone,

Not a very nice morning today. No wonder my back is bad. Amber has climbed up into my large office chair and plonked her self down behind my back winding herself round so her head is on my left knee which is sticking out because I am perched on the front of the chair. Mind you it is keeping my back warm!

Take care everyone and do look after yourselves and have a good day all.

    Aloha!:wub2:

    Good morning everyone,

Mr Kandy says Thanks for all your good wishes and says his back is a lot better and is able to get about much better although at work he had to rely on the work desks to move around:biggrin: As he is off from work today he is busy taking out the windows where the friction hinges have failed and replacing them so hopefully we won't have any more gaps to let the cold and noise through:hapydancsmil: It makes the house mighty cold though and as he keeps dropping the screws has to keep coming down the stairs and out the front to find them in the flower bed.I did say it would be quicker to use my metal detector:snork:

Shiney,I have problems getting Mr Kandy to drink plenty of fluids because when he is busy at work and with consultants often he doesn't have time for lunch let alone drinks:frown:Hope you and Mrs Shiney are both keeping fine and still enjoying the garden and badgers.I reckon it was the badgers on all four corners of the car giving it a good shake so that the alarm went off:snork:

Moyra, sorry your back is given you jip and hope that with Ambers warmth it starts to heal. :blue thumb:My bones have been so painful this year, worse than what they have ever been and i reckon it is because of the rubbish year we have had weatherwise:mad:

Loli,i do hope you don't have too much problem with the foxes and the chooks as it must be terrible when you have a fox whittling them all the time.Hope you and Mr Loli are keeping well:dbgrtmb:Hope your parents flu jabs go ok and they don't get too much soreness afterwards....

Enjoy your wedding Jazmine and hope the weather stays good for you as this time of the year it can be bitter especially as they have snow forecast out your way this weekend:smile:

Waves to Caz,Woo and Penny and hope you are all keeping well:smile:

Anyway, now that pops has eaten her mid morning meal i can get back on with my hoovering as we have a surveyor coming at 12 so want to make sure the house is nice and neat and tidy for him:biggrin:

    Enjoy your day everyone:smile:

    Aloha everyone,

Woo, it might be best to give the turfing a miss for a few days. Working in this cold and wind isn't good for backs  Even Shineyland has had a touch of snow.

Kandy, you keep yourself wrapped up well also. You've got to keep those bones happy. Tell Mr K that not keeping hydrated enough makes it more difficult for his back to recover - apart from other problems.

Moyra, you be careful when being taken for a walk as it might be a bit slippery. It's good to hear you have a nice back warmer. :)

Loli, we don't want you coming over all funny, like!! :heehee: I hope your parents flu jabs go OK. We won't have them - we don't have jabs of any sort unless we have to. Even when we go on our wanders to distant parts.

Penny, hope you are well. Haven't seen you around for a few days.

Lili, come on now, your fruit and veg are crying out to be chutneyed. I can hear them from here :)

The visit to the chiropractor went OK. He said my back isn't too bad and he gave the usual advice of plenty of fluids and not to do any gardening for 24 hours. I'm going to cook some meals on wheels for a couple of Mrs Shiney's patients today.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha Everyone,

It was sleeting in the wind as I walked Amber this morning. I shall have to be careful if the ground gets icy as I am not good on wet or icy ground even without Amber so double the trouble with. I keep thinking about buying a moterised buggy to take Amber on her walks with but Steve insists it would be lethal then he thinks the buggies are anyway. I do agree that it would mean I wouldn't get the exercise that I do now even if I do struggle.

Kandy you are right about the joints being worse this year because of the weather it really has affected all our joints. I expect that is why Mr K's back has been bad this year. All our backs in fact. I find it hard because people when I say to them that I am coming up 68 they look at me and say but we thought you were in your fifties. Then I have to remind myself I am only a couple of years off my 70's it is frightening. Being overweight pulls out all my wrinkles. Lol:loll:Also been blessed with almost black hair and have only a mallen streak of white at the temple one side helps. :phew:

Well everyone do look after your backs and your joints and keep well.

    Aloha!:wub2:

Wow, WOO your Garden is sure coming on fine. You have completely rehashed since last year. Is this an annual event that you start from the beginning and rehash just for a change? Your garden seems to get longer and longer! I'm amazed.
