    Morning everyone,

Its cold and raining here, although it does have some ice pellets in it.

I was supposed to go to Toronto today, but with hurricane Sandy moving in, i'll go later this week.

The weather will be interesting here tonight, we have the snow moving in from the West that dumped all that snow in Calgary, we have a cold front coming down on us from the North, and Sandy meeting them over us, so right now my area is under a snow warning, rain warning and severe winds.....greaaaaaat!!

Anyhow, i am off to get some more coffee, wait for it to get light out, and then go out and make sure that everything is secure.

    Have a great day all.

Happy Birthday Mrs Woo. :hpybtd: Weather until lunchtime was not too bad. Been shopping. Been to bank, changed to a bank nearer to home.

Had to have a sleep this afternoon, as my dog Fred, has taken to waking me up at about 3 a.m. crying for food ! I was totally washed out this morning, which gave me a headache, which I have'nt had for a long time.

Still, do not feel so bad now. Hope you can keep safe,:imphrt: Penny. Have a good evening everyone. :doggieshmooze:

        Good morning everyone:smile:

Sorry to have missed Mrs Woo Birthday celebrations and hope that you both had a lovely day together:wub2:

Hope everyone is ok and Penny hope you have come through the storm ok if it has moved towards you:blue thumb:

I've had a good four days with Mr Kandy although he had two phone calls from his place of work one of which lasted an hour so in one way he will be glad to go back to sort things out:eeew:

I have managed to get the first of my crimbo prezzies wrapped and have a few more to sort out before i go hunting for the next ones in the local town:snork: I am determined to get things in front again with stuff like i did last year but at least i don't have to worry about cooking Christmas cakes and admire Loli for the amount she has got cooked:blue thumb:

I don't like the clock change and the dark times and already feel the effects and am counting down the days to when we turn the corner at the end of January when we see the reverse effect and start to get the light coming back into our lives

        Enjoy your day everyone:smile:

Hope everyone is well this morning:dbgrtmb:
Penny hopeing all is well with you and yours and you all stayed safe:dbgrtmb:
Good thinking Kandy i really must get more organized for christmas this year but no doubt i'll end up taking too much on and be racing around like a headless chicken....
I feel awfull this morning...Last night Mr L took the dogs for a walk and was chatting to a lady who loves Golden retrievers....as the lady bent down to stroke Archi he jumped up and 'head butted' her....causing her nose to bleed:hate-shocked:....to cut a long story short all was well but i was 'very cross' shall we say.. that Mr L hadn't taken more care... i understand it was an accident but the dogs are very strong and they could have knocked the lady over...if it had been a child they would have flattened them....i'm as daft as brush with the dogs but i will not have them jumping up:nonofinger: so rather a 'frosty' evening was had:old:.....
Annny way, just on my way to work so everyone have a good day and take care:SUNsmile:

            Aloha everyone,

It's a nice sunny morning and not too cold.

Kandy, I hope Mr K is feeling better. As you know, we don't do Christmas presents except for the kids in the family - and there aren't any! All the generation in the family that are at the grandchild level are now at university or work and none of those have kids yet. We do give presents to some of the kids of my ex-staff but, as we haven't the faintest what they would like we give them money to go in their savings accounts.

Loli, large dogs tend to be friendly and boisterous and can cause problems like that. A cousin of mine had a very friendly wolfhound that was 6ft tall when it stood on its back legs. It loved to put its front paws on people's shoulders and lick their faces but it was so heavy that when it jumped up to do that it could easily knock them down! People stopped going round to their house. :hate-shocked:
I have a problem with dogs that jump up because I mustn't let their paws scratch my legs (even through my trousers) so I'm used to fending them off. I usually crouch down and play with them instead :doggiesmz:

I got a lot done in the garden yesterday with more mowing of lawns and hoovering up (with the mower) loads of leaves. The mower chops the leaves and they compost much quicker. :dbgrtmb: I had a nice walk in the afternoon the few miles down the road to pick up my car. It would have been even nicer if it wasn't for the traffic - no footpath

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

            Aloha everyone,

The sun is trying to shine, hopefully we might have a nice day. Shiney, glad you got your car back but would imagine although it would be a nice walk without the traffic I should imagine it was quite hairy walking along there with no footpaths and traffic drives so fast too.

Penny, do stay safe in the conditions out there at present. It is quite a worry as we have family out there too.

Kandy, like you I do not like this hour change. Hope Mr K is on the up!

Loli, I have to be careful with Amber because if she pulls to want to greet people when she is on the lead she could have me over. She was greeted by another dog this morning who wanted to meet her and she started to pull, that new contraption that squeals when she pulls doesn't seem to be having the same effect now she has got used to it. Anyway I let the two dogs sniff each other and then when they started to dance around I had to pull Amber away and say that's enough as she would have had me over. Steve encourages Amber to jump up at him and tell him he is wrong to do so as I am teaching her not to jump up it is sending confusing messages to her.

WOO, glad Mrs WOO enjoyed her day yesterday. Mind how you go with that patio lifting.

Well have a lovely day all and please look after yourselves and stay safe and well.

            Aloha!:wub2:

              Morning everyone,

Its a cold blustery day here, we had high winds lastnight, alot of rain, and a little snow overnight, thankfully it
melted once it hit the ground.

The power flicked a few times but it didnt go out, thankfully.....hopefully its back on soon for the ones who did lose power.

So all in all, no real damage here, a few signs down and broken branches.

Its still windy here though, but thats supposed to move out as the day goes on.

Have a great day all. [IMG]
