Hello everyone, bit late today, just got back from my talking therapy session.

Had a fright this morning, just after 9.30 a.m had terrible pains in my chest, really constricting could not breathe, went straight to emergency room at doctors, ECG, and other tests, no problem with heart. Doctor gave me good check over, diagnosed a panic attack. More tablets to calm down. Gave OH a real fright, but he has been very helpful today. . Doctor booking a stress test in Reading.:noidea:

So came back, and sat and rested, not usual for me, but tired this evening, chest is very sore, hope I will have a good night sleep to get over it.:snooze:

Very hard frost with us this morning, sun came out, and melted it very quickly, drizzle this afternoon, and dark very early. Had a nice surprise.. padded envelope with seeds arrived, from my friend in the USA, 11 packets of seeds, for me to try next year. :wow:

I have had to buy a bigger box to house my collection of seeds, I have one for flowers, one for vegetables, one for exotics/unusual, and one for big packets(peas and beans, and tomato collection):wow:

Well, hope you all have a quiet evening - no more bangs.

I had hoped there would be no more bangs tonight but they are still letting them off out there. Lili, try using a brown paper bag to blow into as it does help and is what the medics recommend. While you are concentrating on your breathing into the bag you relax and forget the panic which then subsides. Panic attacks are scarey but in time you will learn to control them. I still get them but I have learned to lesson their effect on me. Take care.

Evening all. I sound like Dixon of Dock Green, now who remembers him? :snork:
Liliana sounds like you had a real fright there. Thank goodness everything seems to be ok, is a stress test an exercise test? I had the treadmill test, I did not enjoy it at all!
I do have problems but touch wood I don't get pain - anything with the heart is always frightening.
Moyra and Loli cluck cluck to you both :heehee:

Aloha! (That's good for any time of day :))

Kandy, I've just looked it up as I didn't know what The Paradise is - but assumed it is a TV series. I see it's a British adaptation of Au bonheur Des Dames written by Emile Zola.

Emile Zola wrote the newspaper expose called J'Accuse which accused the army of falsely sentencing Dreyfus for treason and exiled him to Devils Island. They did this because of anti-semitism and the fact that he wasn't upper class. It caused an enormous fuss but took years to clear his name. Zola had to flee France and came to England because of it.

He wrote many famous books :dbgrtmb:

              Good morning Woo and everyone:smile:

Woo,hope the garden work goes ok today and that you have dry weather in which to be able to do it:smile:

Lili,so sorry to hear about your panic attack,it must have been very frightening and at least your doctor was able to reassure you that it wasn't anything serious and hope you start to feel better soon.

Loli, glad that the chooks are well snuggled up and all went well with the fireworks. They must wonder what is going on with bangs going off all the time :eeew: Hope your working day goes off ok:blue thumb:

Jazmine sounds like you had a good day shopping with your family the other day. There is nothing like a good bit of retail therapy to brighten any day:smile:

Hope Caz and Penny are keeping warm and well:dbgrtmb:

My cold has come out full blown now so i have a frog cough and can't stop sneezing and think it is now going down onto my chest so hope it doesn't turn bronchial which it could do with this damp weather:eeew:

Shiney,I Googled Emile Zola as i wan ted to see if it was a male or female writer and read that he dided from carbon monoxide poisoning due to his chimney being closed off and the worker who did the dirty deed confessed on his death bed that it was political:frown:

Took the cats to the vet and saw the senior vet last evening who was very thorough in his examination of both Poppy and Willow and Willow has lost 1/2 lb due to him not being well and his heart rate is up so we are now having to monitor that as the vet thinks he might have other problems which need looking in to:frown:

Poppy has but on 1lb in weight which is very good so the tablets are working thankfully. The vet has advised us against surgery as there could be problems with the Parathyroid so it looks like she is going down to the Queen Mother Hospital for animals down in North Mymms Hatfield for 3/4 weeks for the Radiocative Iodine treatment but not sure at the moment when this is all going to happen as we have to see what the results of last nights blood tests are and she is on tablets again for two weeks, but on reading the literature the vet emailed us she needs to be off of the tablets for two weeks before the treatment can be started and I said to Mr Kandy i hope she comes back gold plated for what this is all going to cost but when they are your pets you have to do what is right for them:biggrin::cat-kittyandsmiley:

I am off to dos ome more leaf gathering so hope you all have a good day in all that you do:smile:

                Aloha everyone,

A lovely bright morning this morning but cold. Brr! I don't mind the cold provided I can see the sun.

Oh yes Loli Bob is very popular amongs the chooks:snork:

Kandy, I hate to think what this is all going to cost but they are family aren't they. I suppose it is good that Poppy will not need the operation but radioactive Iodine treatment doesn't sound nice either. Hope Willow goes along ok too. Be careful with that cold going onto your chest too, that doesn't sound good.

WOO, just you take it easy my dear finishing off that lawn. Be careful.

Shiney, have a good day too.

Waves to Kaz, Penny and Lili and hope everyone is keeping ok and looking after yourselves.

                Aloha!:wub2:

                        Good morning everyone,

Thanks for your kind words regarding the furries:smile:

We should get the blood test results for Poppy today and the vet asked us to monitor Willows breathing over a minute as a healthy cats are between 20-30 breaths a minute and at the vets Willows was over 80 a minute :hate-shocked: We have taken his readings for the last couple of nights and they were 42 ther first night and then 40 last night so will see what the vet says when we hear from them today:)

Moyra, we won't be getting much change out of 2k me thinks as the info the vet sent us via email had a price of £1,325:hate-shocked: in 2010 so no doubt it will have gone up a lot more.We will see what the animal hospital says when the treatment all kicks off.We could go for the op option but there is a risk to the cats health when they are knocked out plus if the Parathyroids are damaged or removed accidently then it will affect her Calcium levels which will affect her life and it might not work and she would still be on tablets for life anyway. We could have her put down instead but that for us isn't an option as when we took them on as tiny feerel kittens we took them on for life, either theirs or ours so will cough up the money and hope she comes through this ok,but it is a worry:biggrin:I just wish that cat owners would get their cats done instead of letting them produce unwanted kittens and then it is up to someone else to pick up the pieces

I do hope that everyone has a good day and those staying indoors today keeps warm:smile:
