    Good afternoon everyone.

Yes Willow did come back indoors so he must have just popped out for toilet duties despite me leaving a litter tray so he didn't have to go out in the damp and cold:snork:

Mr Kandy sent me this email earlier so have copied and now will try to paste it on here so you can read it and it saves me having to type it all out...

Willow has put on about an ounce since last week! At least he isn’t loosing it.

Chris, the vet saw us and gave Willow a good check over again. He asked what his respiratory rate was. I told him the figures and he just said they’re quite fast. They are going to do the x-ray under mild sedation and do a bronchial flush whilst he’s out to get a sample of sputum to check for bacteria type in lungs. Should be able to pick him up after 3:00pm. Around 5:00pm will be OK, so I’ll pick him up on the way home.

I asked about Poppy whilst I was there and he’s not sure whether she is going to be able to have the radiation treatment. We may have to stick with tablets for quite a while if the kidney function cannot be controlled. This is because the treatment will fix the thyroid problem but may make the kidney one much worse and almost untreatable. I’m picking up another prescription of tablets for her when I pick Willow up.

As you can see they are both not out of the woods yet so we will still be keeping our fingers and toes crossed that they both get better over the weeks.

I am just going outside to wash my car and give the inside a wipe over as there is a bit of mud on some of the plastic from when i was leaf collecting last week.I hooverd Myrtle out on Sunday but want to make sure she is nice and clean looking for when she has her MOT and service on Saturday.I just hope she passes ok:love30:

    Enjoy your afternoon everyone:smile:

Thanks Kandy for letting us know what's happening with the cats. Poor Poppy seems to be in between a rock and a hard place. Bit daunting to know how this is going to go. Then poor Willow as well, hope they get to the bottom of her troubles today. Give them a little cuddle from me when you get them home.:cat-kittyandsmiley::ktykss:

Moyra, what we can't understand is that Willow{tom/male}went off to the cattery{same one for nine years}healthy and has gone down hill ever since he came home. The cattery said he had had the runs for two days and then he started sneezing like mad and his eyes were streaming so something went on but we have no way of knowing because the cats can't speak to tell us what is wrong or how they feel:frown: Hope you and Amber are having a good day with some decent weather:smile:

Myrtle is now nice and clean but will give her a quick hoover out on Friday if it is dry so she looks good:smile:

          Hello everyone, :yay:
Hope everyone is fine and dandy.:rolleyespink:

Well, good news, heart is healthy and no problems found. Usual advice, bearing in mind family history, try to keep a lower cholesterol, eat a bit less, exercise more......

As you said, Lolimac, absolutely K.......d ! Had another ECG, two nurses had to listen to my heart as it was so quiet, same problem finding pulses in my wrist and for blood pressure.

Got all wired up fro treadmill, I used to do treadmill in a gym in Cyprus and could walk for 3/4 of an hour, now, I managed....... 6 1/2 minutes !!!:old:

My mouth went so dry, and my knees were aching so bad. :old:

After all was done, I started having a coughing fit, bought on by the walking. I went and had a coffee, and a bit of my hubbies cinnamon twirl, that seemed to stem the cough.:phew:

So as we were already in Reading, did a bit of shopping, and decided to rest this afternoon, OH still asleep on the sofa, I hope I can stay awake this evening. :sofa: So now have written my letter of notice, posting that on Weds, a weight off my shoulders.

          Take care everyone.:imphrt:

            Morning everyone. :coffee:

Thought it was going to be a good day, but now my big toe is itching madly(the one where I lost the nail 4 months ago) a bit red, and not looking good, need to keep a check on yet another thing. :wallbanging:

Been going through some boxes in the wardrobe, found nets and curtains, I have used for years, other little bits and bobs, so they will be going to the next bootsale in December.

Very damp and miserable looking outside, so shall not venture far.

Have also a big pile of papers to shred , that will give other half something to do later with the compost bin.

So that will keep me busy all morning.

            Take care everyone. xx:imphrt:

            Aloha everyone,

WOO thanks for the countdown dear. Roll on New Year and Spring!

Loli, yes Amber's walks have not been too bad it was quite a lovely day here yesterday. Got the sheets off both beds washed and almost dry, finished them off over the night storage heaters overnight. I would watch that with your shed because that is the favourite place of foxes to make their lair. I know we have a family of them under Steve's shed every year. Would be a bit hairy being near to your girls.

Shiney, how's things still bogged down with paperwork and e-mails? Wish you luck getting up to date.

Kandy, hope all went well for Willow yesterday and they have got to the bottom of what ails her. Apparently they reckon there is going to be a lot more problems with dogs and cats this year, which I find rather scarey. Hope Poppy continues to put on weight without too much problems with her kidneys.

Lili, that toe of yours doesn't sound too good. You will have to watch it doesn't deteriorate it could build up a poison in it. You might need to have it looked at by the doc.

Well everyone have a good day today and please do look after yourselves.

            Aloha!:wub2:

              Aloha everyone,

Lili, I hope your toe gets better quickly :blue thumb:. I can sympathise with you as I have to work hard at keepinmg one of my toes from being infected. Since I've been having regular visits to my current chiropodist I've only had the occasional flare up. I've been going to him for some years now and he is so much better than previous ones.

Loli, you want to make sure it's not rats that are setting up home under the shed. A friend of ours that keeps chickens has that problem. Maybe you can try a rat trap.

Moyra, I never get up to date :). I'm also working on some social events for the bridge club. They take a bit of advance planning. Dec - Christmas party, Jan - Annual Dinner and Dance, Feb - annual Quiz where we do the catering ourselves.
I've got to go round to Barry as he has got some more forms that I have to deal with.

We got a lot done in the garden yesterday :dbgrtmb:. A lot of clearing and I mowed four lawns.

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!

              Aloha everyone,

Very foggy walking Amber this morning. Shiney you certainly have a lot of work ahead of you. I wonder when you find time for the garden or vice versa with the big garden when you ever find time for all the organising and planning.

Kandy hope things are going ok with willow and poppy. Quite a worry between them.

Loli, hope Shiney is wrong but he has a very valid point Rats do tend to accumulate where they can get a free and easy feed particularly where chickens are concerned.

WOO, I loved your come back on that picture of you. Glad it was just the one off. Lol.

Hi to everybody else, hope you are all well and looking after yourselves. Have a good day all.

              Aloha!:wub2:
