    Good afternoon everyone,

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Shiney on reaching 47 years of happily married bliss together and hope you both have a lovely day,and you will have to tell us the long story sometime{no rush:biggrin:}You will be celebrating your Gold Medal award in three years time when we celebrate our Coral/Jade award :snork: Glad you managed to get the cooker done for Mrs Shiney,I have been cleaning out our sun room today, and it is amazing how quickly the cobwebs appear after the last cleaning session:gaah:

Loli, that bill is horrendous and a complete rip off and i do hope that you get it sorted soon.Friend of ours in the village had a dog that seemed to have skin allergies and in the end the only food he could eat was turkey because it was found he was alergic to everything:eeew:

Woo,hope you are still managing to get outside to get work done.:blue thumb:

Hope everyone else is ok and having a nice day:SUNsmile:

Moyra, they never show you on the gardening programmes what critters are probably noshing their veggies as i think it would people off of having allotments.:snork:

:hapfeet:Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Shiney:hapfeet:love to you both:wub2:.....
Yes Moyra they are both insured:phew:.....(pet plan)....expensive but worth it....you have to be carefull and read the small print as many insurance companys will only give one big payout and then that's your lot, where as Pet plan have always been very good with us....our darling old fella had to have tablets for the last 6 years of his life and they paid up ....we certainly got our monies worth:dbgrtmb:
Our vets is like the BUPA of the animal world, an amazing place....and the vet himself is like part of the family...i wanted to have my gall bladder removed there as i trusted them more than our hospital:biggrin:......having said all that...it's probably like a Bupa place because the likes of us have paid for it all....:rolleyespink:
    Whoa it's thundering.....the chooks have taken cover....i'll hang about outside a bit longer:dbgrtmb: i love it:rolleyespink:

    Aloha Everyone,

Better late than never. When I couldn't get on this morning I gave up and decided I would try later and yet I still never got round to it after Zigs let me know it was back. Sorry folk just got so tied up on other things. Been busy all day. I hope you have all had a good day and Michael and Hannah if you were celebrating your big day today I hope you enjoyed yourselves.

    Aloha!:wub2:

      Good morning Woo and everyone:smile:

Lovely sunrise Woo:blue thumb: There was one just starting when i got up at 6.30am but the clouds have rolled in and covered it so will enjoy yours instead:cool:

Woo glad to hear you got the fence panels and that the fence painting doesn't take up too much of your day so you can enjoy some of it with your family

I take it that GC was down yesterday as when i tried to acess it at 3am yesterday morning i got an error message so something was amiss, but at least i got plenty done while being away from the puter:snork:

According to the weather forecast if it can be believed we are due for a spell of good weather over the next few weeks will suit me down to the ground:yay:

Loli, did you know they are now starting to charge admission prices for Ventnor Botanic Gardens?Evidently the people of Ventnor are all up in arms as it was always free to get it but now they have to pay so with the £5 car park it is £15 before you start:frown:

      Enjoy your day everyone:SUNsmile:

      Aloha everyone,

I hope you are all well on this lovely sunny day :dbgrtmb:

Thanks for your congratulations. We didn't celebrate our anniversary, as every day is a celebration :dancy:

A lovely photo, woo - as usual :). Are you going to paint a scene on your fence? :heehee:

I hope everyone's furry (and feathered) friends are feeling fit today.

Kandy, it's always a pity when gardens start charging for entry but they cost a lot run. I think that local residents should be able to apply for free passes. Some local authorities have schemes like that.

We got a lot done in the garden yesterday and are off, later this morning, to meet up with friends at the Chilli Festival. Last year the Hairy Bikers were there and I had a chat with them - very nice fellas. Then it's back to us where I shall cook a roast beef dinner - got a nice 2kg piece of rib of beef for £7.48 . Veggie Kievs for the veggies. Loads of crispy roasties and mustn't forget the Yorkies (Auntie Bessie has done them for me :snork:) . Mrs Shiney has cooked a lovely courgette, onion, toms, garlic and herb casserole (all from the garden) and I'll do a great big pile of runner beans. Apple and blackberry crumble - home picked blackies and our own windfall apples - and blackberry and chocolate mousse.

I think I'll have my porridge now :)

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Aloha Everyone!

A beautiful morning out there and according to WOO's picture a beautiful sunrise this morning too. Thank you WOO!

Shiney, sounds as though you are going to have a good tuck in today! We shall be finishing up the lovely piece of pork we had yesterday.

Take care everyone and have a great day.

      Aloha all!:wub2:

      Hi Shiney,

I Googled VBG because me and Mr Kandy were talking about the place and wanted to see if the parking charges had gone up from last time and I came across this or else I wouldn't have known about the charges to get it....

      http://ventnorblog.com/2012/07/15/ventnor-botanic-garden-entrance-fees-confirmed/

Your rib of beef sounds nice plus all the other goodies you are noshing:biggrin: We had lunch yesterday care of M&S so picked the chicken, and Raspberry Pannacotta for the sweet and a nice bottle of Petilant which on my receipt was worth £6.99 so we are not complaining plus will have the chicken over the next couple of days:snork:

Enjoy your trip to the chili festival, and glad you have met the hairy bikers who are now a lot slimmer due to the diet they have been on recently:biggrin:

Hope that everyone has a very good day:smile:

      Good morning Caz and everyone:smile:

Hope you all had a really good BH although like other BH's it flew by again:snork:

We managed to have a good five mile walk round our local nature reserve yesterday afternoon and it is nice to see the water levels are back up to near normal levels  We were just a hundred yards from the car when it started raining so timed it very well because it bucketed it down for the rest of the evening and the slugs and snails were out in force again:eeew:

The sun is out again today but not sure yet what is going to happen with the weather today as i was so busy typing i missed the forecast:snork:

      Enjoy your day everyone:SUNsmile:

      Good morning everyone,
Just read the piece on VBG Kandy...:frown:....Yes it's a lovely place but i have a feeling it is going to take a 'downturn' now.....no wonder the locals are up in arms....it's such a shame.....
Yesterday it was raining constantly....i did do a little bit in the GH and sorted the chooks out but it certainly wasn't gardening weather here.....i logged on to GC and left it on for most of the day:biggrin: and just kept popping back inbetween other jobs:heehee:in all i had rather a lazy day:)
Blue skies this morning so it's catch up time:dbgrtmb:
      Wishing you all well,take care:SUNsmile:
