    Aloha Everyone,

Shiney, I don't know how you do it so consistantly always arranging and planning meetings and contests etc. I have been trying to arrange a SAGA Christmas Lunch for our group in Chelmsford. Do you think you can get people organized. Eventually fixed a date for the 6th December to get in before one of our number flies off to the Bahamas for Christmas to sort out the selling of her place out there. Now, some can, some can't, some want Christmas dinner, some want the everyday menu. Help! Oh well it will happen after a fashion.

Maybe Loli your would be lodger changed their minds after the dogs gave them a bit of interest.

Everybody have a good weekend and look after yourselves. God Bless.

    Aloha!:wub2:

I am here in the morning today :what:
Kandy, Glad to hear Willow is improving, eating a little food is always an encouraging sign.
Shiney -well done for coming 13th! Sounds like you are as busy as always, say hello to Mrs Shiney from us!
Moyra I know what you mean about trying to organise things, even organising a family lunch out for us turns into a major event! Mind you we do both have large families!
Lolli have an easy day, I am rushing around here as house is empty for about two hours!!
Penny you are getting well organised.
Woo hope your feathers are drying out nicely and you are feeling better.

    Aloha everyone,

It has been a nice busy day today - apart from trouble with our cooker. One of our ovens is sometimes lighting up and sometimes not . I've told Mrs Shiney that she's going to have to stick her head in the oven :heehee: and have a go at trying to clean the automatic lighter. If that doesn't work we may have to get the 'man' in. If the automatic lighter has packed up it can be an expensive job because, apparently, on range cookers you have to change all the automatic lighters at the same time. We have ten of them :hate-shocked:.

Moyra, I don't have too much trouble organising different things. I work out, in my head, what all the options may be and then cut out all the less likely ones. Once I've done that I then list the options and give them to everyone with a set date for them to make their choice. hey are always told that they can influence the result by replying on time. Otherwise dates and times etc will be whatever the others have decided. I just collate the data and tell them the result.

With all the events I organise I always get volunteers, give them their jobs to do and let them do it without interference. They just have to keep me updated and get things done on time. Even with our Open Day, with hundreds of people coming, everyone knows their job and gets on with it. They rarely have to call on me to do anything :heehee:. I just check occasionally to see whether any of them need help.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

      Good morning everyone,

Hope you have all had a good weekend and are feeling ok.

Only another 34 days to Crimbo:yay:

Loli, hope your dogs are feeling a bit better now they are on the steroids.:blue thumb:

Well we went grocery shopping on Saturday and was glad to get that out of the way for another week and then in the afternoon we went over to the village where we used to live and collected more bags of leaves from the gardens of two of the big house so now have over fifty bags full of leaves standing on the plots waiting for me to go and transfer them into those large builders dumpy bags:snork:

Yesterday i cooked us a nice chicken roast dinner and then we popped out for a couple of hours to go and find some Waxwings that had been reported in the county, but missed them because a Sparrowhawk had frightened them off:frown:but we did see a nice Kingfisher that more than made up for it

Anyway,it is going to be good weather wise for today but then rain and winds are forecast so will see how the week pans out.

      Have a good day everyone:smile:

      Good morning everyone,
I hope that Woo is getting over his 'bird flu' and everyone else is on form too:dbgrtmb:
      Where did that weekend go..........
Got the last of the bulbs planted , cleared and dug over the border where my new roses are going ....The leaves are all but gone now which causes havoc here....the dogs can now see the squirrels better and run riot around the garden chasing them...the squirrels make it worse because they just stand in the trees staring down at them stamping thier feet and 'arguing' with them:rolleyespink: Theo's steriods are doing the trick with his skin but making him put weight on....the vet is now weening him off them so hopefully in three weeks he'll be back to normal:dbgrtmb:
Best go fill the bird feeders up....the birds are lined up giving me some filthy looks:biggrin:
Waves to all and the furries.....
Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

      Aloha Kandy and everyone,

The sun is trying to come out and there's no frost this morning. :blue thumb:

I've got lots of things to do all week, meetings, paperwork, people coming for lunches, visits to hygienist and chiropodist, bridge every evening and gardening to get done!

I hope that all of you and your two and four legged friends keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Morning All GC Friends!
Hope you're all in good health and bright spirits.

I worked over the weekend and I strongly need to share my dreams and intentions with you.
I interpreted at an international forum on viticulture and wine-making, parallelled by a local producers' exhibition and excessive wine-tasting. ;)

Haven’t taken a sip of wine, but last night I felt dizzy just with the vapours in the wine-tasting room...:rolleyespink:

It’s been the second edition of the event now, and last year, I was also in charge of interpreting (had to recruit some colleagues to cover the whole event).

The topic of wine, and especially the master’s classes, seem to require a stressful amount of reading, but this is a very promising sector in Bulgaria and I hope that it will generate an avalanche of translation and interpreting jobs.

At present, I work mainly in the field of legal cooperation and the judiciary reform, and I'm already sick of it.

Honestly, I yearn to be in the open, in vineyards, interpreting about terroir, vine rootstocks, grape varieties and getting muddy for the sake of winemaking, rather than getting crazy about court decisions.

Wish me LUCK!! :imphrt: :blue thumb:

      Aloha Everyone,

      Angelina - Good Luck!

Kandy, I must look out for the waxwings, they were here last year in their numbers so I wonder if they will visit here again. You are doing well with your leaf collection.

Loli, Glad Theo's skin is improving but that is the problem with steroids they do make the weight go on. Hope he finishes them soon and gets back to normal. You got a lot done in the garden now you know where the weekend went!

WOO. Do hope you are feeling much better as we miss you dear. Take care of yourself.

Wel Steve's just brought me a nice cup of tea so I am off to drink it. Have a lovely day everyone the weather is beautiful here. Take care of yourselves please.

      Aloha!:wub2:

          Aloha everyone,

I hope you are all well.

Just a quick pop in to GC. I've been out all afternoon running our bridge club and have just managed to get a quick bite to eat before going off to a bridge match. Should be home by midnight.

Keep well and have a good evening.

          Aloha!
