    Aloha everyone,

It's slightly drizzly and pretty mild this morning. I've had a wander around the garden and things are getting a bit soggy but not too bad. As Tracey can no longer help us in the garden we now have Janina :blue thumb:. It's going to take her a long time to get used to the garden and the way we like things done as she's only coming about once every three weeks. She'll be doing the digging and a lot of the hard weeding as I can't do those jobs. I've just come back in from showing here where she can do the digging where it's not too soggy.

All the veg area that's covered in anti-weed membrane can be dug OK. I showed her how to roll it all back and then she can dig the area and then dig in lots of compost. This weather is also good for her to put in the large David Austin roses that someone dug up from their garden and gave us. We've just got to work out where they should go. People are so generous. They're always giving us things for the garden. A few months ago someone gave us three knee high, blue glazed, pots for the garden. They cost quite a bit of money to buy.

It's chiropodist morning today so I shall be off soon.

I hope all of you and your two and four legged friends keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

Good luck at the hospital Moyra.
I love the sound of those pots Shiney, just my type of thing.
Well I am catching up here after working all day at my sons yesterday - it's nice to have a little time here alone as OH has gone to the gym.

    Aloha everyone,

Nice scene to be greeted with Loli. There are woodpeckers in the trees to the side of our flats, Jays too. Yesterday was an atrocious day I got wet each time I took Amber out and the last walk of the day I nearly got blown away as well.

The hospital appointment went very well. They are very pleased with my progress as my kidneys and diabetes is very stable. Nice to get good feedback for once. They want me to have my liver checked up though and I know the doc told me it is covered in fat. But I had lost some more weight when I weighed in yesterday so another good point.

WOO, sorry to hear that cold has left you with a bad chest, do hope you get well soon.

Shiney, you have been very busy I am glad you have got someone to dig your garden for you it helps a bit. Enjoy your Chiropodists appointment!

Waves to everyone else hoping you are all well and looking after yourselves. God bless.

    Aloha!:wub2:

      Aloha everyone,

The sun has broken through but the wind is picking up.

Woo, I hope you're feeling better today. :blue thumb: Look after yourself.

Moyra, that's good news on your results :dbgrtmb:

Loli, woodpeckers are lovely creatures. We get at least one a day visiting our peanut feeder and they spend a lot of time hammering away at the peanuts. :)

I've got a load of errands to run today and also have an apponitment with the hygienist and want to get my hair cut - and I've got a bridge match in London tonight. :phew:

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

Good evening everyone and hope you are all ok:smile:

Sorry have been busy over the last few days and so havn't had a chance to get back on here so don't know what has been going on of late :snork:

We have had torrential rain in the village yesterday which caused flooding of the village roads because the builders have raised a lot of the iron works {drains}ready for putting down the top coat of tarmac so the water has no where to run to:hate-shocked: Today we have had gale force winds which i thought was the after effects of the Tornado which hit Portugal last weekend but have now found out it has come from the west side of the world:biggrin: The town where i was born is under flood alert and many people {1,000}have been ordered off of the local caravan park because we are due another 22mm of rain this evening which could cause the local river to flood as the caravan park is on a flood plain:eeew:

Poppy is taking her meds quiet well and is full of beans whereas at times Willow refuses to take his despite us hiding them in cheese, cream cheese, salmon, tuna, etc. His breathing is a bit better and he is starting to clean himself and is purring this week, and i am making sure he has regular offerings of food every hour during the day and evening which hopefully is helping but he still seems a bit bony so once the antibiotics are finished in five days time will be contacting the vet to see what the next course of action is as i don't know whether he will need another x-ray to see what the state of his lungs are in and whether the antibiotics are doing some good.I also want to get him weighed to see if he has put on any more than the 1oz he had put on the other week:biggrin:

Have a good evening everyone

      Aloha everyone,

Kandy, it's good to hear that Poppy and Willow are doing better :blue thumb:. sorry to hear about the floods.

We've been pretty lucky around here. Not a lot of rain although the ground is now quite soggy. This morning it's dry, no wind and the sun is trying to shine.

I'm still rushing around like a blue a*** fly. Didn't have time for my haircut yesterday as other things cropped up.

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Aloha Everyone,

Shiney, slow down and catch your breath dear. You sure are putting twice the work into your life as a lot of others do, but remember to take some time out once in a while.

Kandy, glad Poppy is doing well, it sounds like quite a struggle to get Willow to eat a bit more and to take his tablets. Bless him. I hope you manage to progress with him.

Loli, from what you say that the woodpeckers like the half shell coconuts can I ask what you do with your old shells. I have a small dustbin full of half coconut shells and I don't know what to do with them. Ideally I suppose I should refill them with lard and seed but it all sounds a bit messy to me. I would only need to keep half a dozen of them to do that so there are still about 30 or 40 shells wasted. If i had some way of doing it I would reduce them to husk and use as mulch.

Hi everyone else, WOO are you improving dear? Hope everyone else is keeping reasonably well and do please look after yourselves.

      Aloha!:wub2:

      Hello all,
been trying to sort my computer, hope its sorted.
Been out of the loop for a few days.
Toe still icckie, now on antibiotics.:eeew:

Had to take dog, Fred to the vets, yesterday he had a bad day, previous night sick a lot, vomiting but seemed a bit better, this morning however, not his usual self, took him to vets, did all the normal checks, could not come up with any conclusion, so he had a couple of jabs, keeping him on small snacks, and lots of water.
He has been sleeping a lot on the sofa today, tail wagging a little bit more, so hope is on the mend, it's such a worry, we have had nearly 14 years, and it hurts bad when he is ill.:cry3:

What a wind last night, front door entrance full of leaves. got to be brave and check a alley round the side of house, see if there is any damage to my mini greenhouse.

Hope you all have a safe evening. :doggiesmz: xx
