Hello Everyone, hope you are well and dry.

      1. Fred is so much better, he is running around playing with his teddies, getting upto his usual mischief.:doggieshmooze:
      2. Other half, Peter, had a terrible night last night, coughing bad, nearly up all night with him, trying to give him medicine, drinks, adjusting the bed, so now I'm worn out.:snooze:
      3. My big toe is a bit better, though I think the antibiotics, have made my tongue swell up again.:eeew:
I have spent the past two days knitting doggie coats, I have a table top sale on Saturday, so am making other things to sell.:doggieshmooze:

I hope we have a drier night tonight, it rained so bad last night, luckily we live in an area where we have no problems with flooding. I feel so sorry for everyone plagued by the recent downpours, and with it being so near to Christmas.

Well, everyone have a safe evening.xx

      Aloha everyone,

I couldn't get on earlier, I think they must have been doing the site up so I went out with my son to buy him a new mattress for his bed. I bought him a new bed a couple of years ago but he said his mattress was ok, now though with all the wear and tear of Amber jumping on it and him laying there when he is not at work it is worn out so a new one is on its way for Christmas.

This weather is getting a bit much, everywhere flooded and tree boughs down everywhere you walk, I do feel sorry for those that live in the flood areas. I am wondering what is happening to all those poor cats and dogs. I hope their families remember no matter what they are members of the family too! Oh and the chookies too.

Have a good day everyone and do take care and stay safe.

      Aloha!:wub2:

        Good afternoon Shiney,Moyra and everyone:smile:

Moyra, I have had problems tring to get on to the site and all i got was a spinning circle and then a sky blue page with a load of info on it telling me that the site might be having problems etc so at least it wasn't just me :eeew: Hope that the mattress works out ok and that you get it delivered before Christmas:blue thumb: Yes there is a lot of flooding round our county and when we went to check on our allotment on Sunday about three pole of it was under water and my raspberries were rather water logged but the water has gone now thankfully.:snork:

Shiney,i am busy as well at the moment and have just finished the last of the leaf collecting although it hasn't done my back any good this last week.I think i have been loading too many wet ones into the bags and then trying to lift them into the back of my car doesn't help.I wish my car was of the design where i could have a tow bar fiited then i could use our trailer:snork: Hope your busyness doesn't go on for too long and that you get it all done before the end of the year;)

Lili, glad to hear that Fred is a bit better and hope that all goes well with the table top sale on Saturday and that you sell lots:dbgrtmb:

Loli, how are the chooks coping with all this rotten wet weather are they staying indoors in the warm?I bet it is no joke trying to keep the dogs clean and mud free when it is chucking it down:gaah:

I do hope that Woo,Mum,Jazmine,Penny and everyone else is ok and keeping warm:smile:

We have to take Willow back to the vets tonight as he has finished his antibiotics.Although his breathing went down to 30 breths per minute it was back up to 40 last night so still hanging in there although he is eating well so we are just hoping he has put some weight on.Poppy is doing well on her meds and is still running around like a loony although her ravinous eating has slowed down thankfully:biggrin:

Anyway,I had better go and have a shower and get ready for the appointment and my finger joints are getting stiff again through this damp weather:eeew:

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone:smile:

Thanks Kandy, yes it is an Orthopaedic Mattress as he like us suffers with his back he has two collapsed vertibrae. Again a mispent youth, that's nursery work for you. Humping sacks of bulbs around we both damaged them before our backs were fully developed.

I hope Willow goes on ok tonight. Glad Poppy is doing well.

Hi WOO yes methinks the site was offline for a few hours. I hope you are feeling well tonight. Take care everyone and look after yourselves. :wub2:

shiney ... don't be away too, too long; the lights will go out :(

Kandy - hope it is good news with Willow and Poppy! Hope your fingers soon limber up ((hugs))

Moyra - is it an orthopaedic mattress? They are supposed to be very good! Oops, just seen that it is. Hope it helps; backs are funny buggers.

Woo - did the fumes from outside the pub affect your typing? ;) No! Wait!!! The site was down until around 1 ish this afternoon :)

Loli - I would send the ducks your way for a vacation, but the copse end of my garden is now a lake and they would get upset by your soft water when they are so, so used to the hard water here.

Hope everyone else is still smiling and still has a heart full of nice things.

Ozzy's post-op check went "ok"; but, she thinks he still looks a bit "big" down there (she's kidding, right? He had buffalo do-dah's last week; this week even my drakes are laughing at his "luggage"!); not worried, I've had 5 bairns and know only too well how long it takes for skin to shrink back :heehee: .

Bit of a stressful day today: motto? Think before you speak on an answerphone message :nonofinger: What you *think* you are saying may be clear to *you*, but what the recipient *hears* can be quite different and worrying! 'Nuff said (insert snob smilie). Although I will be writing a letter to highlight "training needs" :heehee:

Chill time now though, so wishing you all miles of smiles xMx

Mum when Theo was 'done'....i even rang the vets and questioned whether the 'job' was actually done as for 3 weeks he still looked like an 'entire' dog...i've not had this with other dogs before:scratch: all was well eventually....it'll be Archi's turn next:ouch1:

Thanks, loli ... the one "concern" is if it is filling with fluid. But, seriously? It's a large piece of skin that needs time to "adjust" to the vacancy :heehee:

Ooh err! Good luck with Archi :grphg:

                Aloha Everyone,

Well it is pretty cold out there but at least it is dry. Steve was going fishing today but he doesn't fancy it on his own and in the cold. The lad is getting old. He is 50 next birthday but since he lost his dad he has been like this. He not only lost his dad he used to go fishing with but his best mate hanged himself too and he was one who used to go fishing with him regularly so it is very sad for him. Still he has filled the lounge with large brollies and tents and fishing bags the lot! I said that's right son get them out and leave them out for 2 or 3 days and the decide you are not going and put them away again. He often does that. Good job we do not use the lounge much these days.

I hope everyone and their furries are all ok. Have a good day all and do look after yourselves. God bless.

                Aloha!:wub2:

Morning everyone, just read back and caught up :)
I didn't feel much like coming on, I had a fall on Mousehold Heath last Thursday and I still hurt. I was out with my son and Princess and Dinky and we decided to walk back down the hill where the sledgers sledge in the snow. It was muddy underfoot and my feet shot out from under me and I went down with a thud. I just lay there for a minute or two, Princess was so upset bless her and was snuffling about around me wondering what was going on.
I got up and got back to my sons but my side and rib were very sore as was my bad leg and a week later I have a bad pain in my back ( the side I banged my rib) so guess I will have to get it looked at.Lesson learned-keep to the flat paths now I am an old crock :old:
                Hope everyone is well. :spinning:
