    Aloha everyone,

We had a good day yesterday. The first half of the morning was taken up with Mrs Shiney doing loads of cuttings and me doing some bean picking (sold 11 lbs of Sunday's lot to one of Mrs S's friends who makes bean chutney) and did more pressure hosing.

Then we went to meet our friends at the chilli festival. We had an interesting time there and some good food. Got home about 3.30 and had afternoon tea in the sunshine in the garden. I then got our roast dinner ready for 8.15 p.m. after the sun had gone down and they had to come in. :dbgrtmb:

This morning I've been out picking beans as usual and will have to get them weighed and bagged ready to take to the bridge club at lunchtime. I reckon there will be about 25-30lb.

Sorry it's been raining for some of you. :dbgrtmb:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha Everyone,

Late on parade again. We are not doing too bad concerning raining. We have been really lucky and had it overnight, although the sky has clouded over several times but it still hasn't rained during the day.

WOO what is that chimney in the background of your lovely photo?

Take care everyone and have a good day all.

    Aloha my friends!:wub2:

    Good morning everyone

Back to some cool weather this morning but at least we didn't get much rain yesterday only an odd shower at lunch time so Mr Kandy and myself had a nice 2 1/2mile walk round another nature reserve yesterday afternoon to help with keeping fit but our legs were a bit tired by the time we got back to the car:snork:

Loli, i am glad that we went to VBG's the last time we went to White after Victoria recommended the place and was thinking of going back again but will have to wait and see this time:biggrin: Hope that your family and all the pets are all ok:blue thumb:

Shiney, glad that you enjoyed the chilli festival went off ok and you are picking a good lot of beans. Some of ours are starting to dry up on the plants despite lots of water, the wind is drying out some of the smaller beans:eeew:

Moyra, hope you Steve and Amber are all ok and still managing to get out and about:smile:

Woo,it sounds like you are very busy at the moment in your garden but do mind your back with lifting and moving those plants.

Hope Caz,Penny,Marley,Jennie and all other posters on here are all ok:blue thumb:

      Aloha everyone,

Woo, another wonderful sunrise :dbgrtmb:. Thank you :)

After another lovely warm and sunny day this morning has started well but they forecast rain. I don't mind that as the garden is crying out for it.

Kandy, after the short hot spell we had, and then the dry period, the bean plants haven't been too happy. Now that it's a bit cooler and there should be some good rain, they should pick up OK. You want to pick off all the lumpy beans to stop the plants from going to seed and they will then have a few weeks of good production.

I'll get a bit of tidying up done in the garden before the rain hits us. A few days ago we had a little rain and I needed to go over to the summerhouse. So, as I opened the back door to go out, Sarafi appeared out of nowhere and walked straight in and plonked himself down on the floor. He's no fool, we have underfloor heating in the kitchen :heehee:

I hope you and all your fluffy friends are well. Have a great day

        Aloha Everyone,

Lovely sunrise this morning WOO, Thank you.:ThankYou:

Shiney, Lovely photos of Sarafi and Mrs S. He knows where to make himself at home doesn't he.

Off to the hospital this morning by their transport so not sure what time they will pick me up. Could be anytime I expect after 8 if it is an ambulance and has to pick others up as well. My hospital appointment is not until 9.30 but because I shall not be able to see to drive when I come out I have no choice as Steve is working. Going to make a long morning of it and I just hope Amber will be a good girl I have taken her for an extra long walk this morning.

Waves to Kandy, Loli, Penny et al. Take care all and enjoy your day.

        Aloha!:wub2:

          Good morning everyone,

Its a sunny morning here, but its sure getting cooler at night!!

I'm home today....its been so busy here the past few days, between wedding plans and University stuff, we move Kait down to school on Saturday, so that'll be an all day thing, I've been helping Natalie with making the boxes for the center pieces.

At this point, there are 175 people coming to the wedding, people were supposed to RSVP by August 1st, and we are still getting cards in the mail!!

I've been in Toronto almost everyday, and then running errands for Brad when i get back....so busy busy busy!!

Today is a "gardening day"....need to cut the grass but I'll do that on Friday after my hair appoinment at 9am.

Off to get some more coffee.....so have a great day all.

              Aloha everyone,

Loli, we're back to The Lakes as usual. Easy route - straight up the A1 and turn left at Scotch Corner. Only 300 miles :dbgrtmb:

Moyra, I hope the hospital visit went well. :)

Penny, that's going to be a big wedding.

Sarafi doesn't normally like much petting and is always on the move but I think he worked our that it was better to put up with it if he didn't want to get kicked out (he knows he's not allowed indoors):heehee:. Outdoors he never stops for any petting unless Mrs Shiney can start to tickle him under the chin. Then he immediately flops over on his side and stretches his head right back for her to scratch him under the chin. That seems to be the only thing he likes - apart from hunting.

This morning I'm off into town for a haircut and shall do some shopping. I think I shall get some nice shin of beef to make a curry for myself and some chicken to make a curry for Mrs Shiney (she doesn't eat red meat and has just the occasional bit of chicken).

              Have a great day

I must pop to the Vets today to get Theos print out of these allergy results....and pick up the chicken wormer....i should have gone yesterday but was 'meeting myself coming back'.....:phew:
I think i overdosed on the garlic last night:eeew:...i was making some batches of Daphenoise (sp) potatoes for the freezer but when when they came out of the oven i couldn't resist sampleing them;).....at least i was safe from the vampires:catapult::heehee:

Hope you are ok this morning Moyra:dbgrtmb:

                Aloha Everyone,

Well the ambulance journey to the hospital took us an hour it is only 20 minutes up the road by car! He had various pick up some deciding they weren't going until the afternoon. Poor old ambulance driver was being led a merry dance. Still got in on time and eventually got seen. He tells me that the pressures are still up but if anything slightly lower than last time. So I jokingly said well at least they are heading in the right direction. He said yes but there is a fine balance between getting you to put drops in twice a day and not at all and I know you want to resist it as far as possible but we shall have to monitor you and if the pressure persists on being on the high side you may have to have the drops or later on an operation. The laser holes in my irises apparently instead of lowering the pressure since then it has been higher, call me Irish!! Well I finally got home at 12.30 so poor little Amber had been on her own for 4 hours. But she had been as good as gold. She must have laid on the bed and slept solid for the 4 hours just waiting for me to come home.

I hope you get your print out of Theo's allergies and the wormer for the chooks. You must get a hefty vet bill by the time you are finished Loli. I pay £10 a month to their pet club which pays for Ambers boosters, monthly flea and 6 monthly worming tablets. Not sure whether that is value for money or not.

Shiney, I never think to curry beef always chicken. Maybe I should try it once in a while. Going to make a Lasange today for a change. Although Steve will moan tomorrow if it upsets his tummy its all the tomatoes that does it.

Waves to Kandy, Penny and WOO, take care and have a good day all.

                Aloha everyone!:wub2:
