Afternoon everyone,

Well, I thought I was well enough to go out and get my chores done, stupid me, started sweating and shaking badly, managed to get it all done and got back home.

Now wrapped up warm with back warmer, blanket on knees, chicken soup and plenty of vitamin c fruit. Lozenges by the packet full. Ooh I feel bad.

Never mind, onwards and upwards. Take everyone.

We have woken up to -4c{24.4f}this morning so for once they have got the forecast right for our part of the country

Got the European cards sent off yesterday as it was the last day of posting and some of the ones posted to relatives so that are the first ones out of the way

Spent two hours in the greenhouse yesterday afternoon potting up bulbs that we got cheap {£1 for a large net bag full of Narcissus}and tulips that should have cost £14.99 for a small string bagHopefully thses tulips will be gold plated at that price

Oooooo it's a chilly frosty one this morning,it does looks lovely though Please take care everyone whether on foot or out driving,there is freezing fog here too just to add insult to injury.......
I 'm fretting over Theo in this weather too,after dislocating his hip last year i cringe when he's slip sliding around on the ice

Best get my boots on and defrost the chooks water and the other birds....already did it earlier but it's that time of year i guess......and no Shiney....i'm not dressed yet

Yesterday was spent writing cards that are now sorted into piles- posting, relatives, local for OH to deliver by bike

Had a good sleep last night, feeling a bit better today.

Staying in today, need to get things tidied up, got a pair of trousers for OH to take up, keep putting it off.

Getting on well with my knitting, have made 5 sets of headbands so far.

Liliana, WOO, Hannah and anyone else suffering wishing you all better. Loli you are right, when I walked Amber early this morning the green looked a picture all white and the trees too all frosty, beautiful. I don't mind the cold when you can wrap up warm against it.

Loli, I hope Theo keeps himself out of trouble it is a worry after last years accident.

Good morning everyone

We are down to -4c again this morning the same as yesterday so i expect we will have had another haw frost which will make everywhere look pretty again.At least we have no fog like we had the other day all day,but the forecast says it is going to rain all day tomorrow as if we need any more of the wet stuff I heard on the radio yesterday that once this rain comes it is going to carry on right up until the 25th,but i hope not as i would rather have the cold and snow than the wet and mild stuff

One good thing though we had a male Blackcap in the garden the other day feeding on my purple Calicarpa berries so he has decided for the second year running to stay here for the winter instead of heading to warmer climes,althouhg he was in for a shock these last couple of days

Its another cool morning here, but it didnt snow overnight.

I'm home today, plan on doing some more wrapping, need to go to the grocery store, and Walmart.

Yes this is the last cold day for a while. but the ground is so sodden anyway it will be awful to have more rain. Am making some more fat balls today the birds are getting through like nobody's business. We have great tits back in the garden today and of course the Jays.

The birds certainly enjoy their fat balls Moyra they're keeping us busy what with refilling the feeders and refreshing the frozen water.....
Everywhere is still frozen solid here....it's soooo cold............
