    Hi Java,

No, I didn't see or smell one :heehee:.

When we were on Java I thought about you. :blue thumb:

We had some lovely snake fruit when we were there :)

Aloha everyone, nearly there! Loli hope you are not developing another cold these seem to go round and round don't they. I know what you mean about getting soaked I sure did this morning walking Amber and I have to take her again in half an hour or so and it is still hissing it down! Don't know whether my hat, scarf and raincoat have dried off from the last lot yet. Oh well what we do for our furry friends. Amber was sick first thing don't know what brought that on. Too many chews I suspect.

My word Shiney how on earth do you and Hannah wade your way through all those photo's? I like the picture of the Java snake fruit most unusual.

Well have a good day all, God bless. xxx

      Aloha!:wub2:

      Hi Moyra,

I have to get things organised properly first. I make separate folders for each place we visit and, sometimes, sub-folders. Then I download all the photos to a single file on the computer (it took three hours :rolleyespink:). Then I drag each batch of photos to their respective folders. That is quite easy because I don't need to study the photos to work out where they go. All I do is check the date batches and drag them across.

Then we can go into each folder and check them for doubles (with both of us taking photos), out of focus ones (quite a lot), wonky ones (also quite a lot), boring ones (even more) and the 'wonder why I took that' ones!

Hello WOO lovely to see you, I hope you are feeling much better.

Shiney, yes you would need to be organized to cope with that lot but well done you on your system it would appear to work well.

      Aloha everyone,

Kandy you sound as though you have been pretty busy. My hair will go white eventually I guess. I already have what I call a Mallon streak at my right temple.

At least it is not raining here this morning. I am hoping to put my sheets out on the line. There is a bit of wind out there so maybe they will dry.

Have a good day everyone and look after yourselves, stay safe.

      Aloha!:wub2:

      Aloha everyone,

It's dry and quite bright this morning but pretty windy.

I'll be off to the shops soon to buy the food for over Christmas. We've got people coming on Christmas Day and Boxing Day but they won't be getting any special Christmas food. Just roast chicken one day and roast, spicy, lamb the other. There'll be a wide variety of veggies cooked in different ways and lots of crispy roasties. Everything else will be easy to do in advance. A couple of cream soups (asparagus and butternut squash), blackberry mousse and some apple dishes (fruit from the garden and in the freezer waiting) and chocolate pots. If they hang around long enough for another meal I'm doing a giant spag bol. :dbgrtmb:

Keep dry and well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Aloha everyone,:doggieshmooze:

Well, not been too bad a day, overcast and damp.:doggieshmooze:

Got up a bit earlier today, and by 9 had dyed my hair a nice chestnut brown.

Prepared, and slow cooked a rump steak, flattened out filled with lots of onions, stuffing, herbs and spices. Made a pasta sauce with red wine, and let that all simmer away for 1 and half hours. Broccoli spears and potatoes, enough for 2 meals, so one lot gone into the freezer.:stirpot:

Got bags ready for Monday, just doing a bit of knitting whilst the Muppets film is on TV :yay: making a strawberry tea cosy, made a pineapple tea cosy the other day, and that came out very well.

Feeling a tad better, so hopefully all will go well whilst we are away.

Merry Christmas and lots of love to you all, have a good time everyone.:merryxmas::xmassparkle::sleigh:

Morning Loli and everyone and :merryxmas:

Thanks for your Christmas wishes Loli, and hope that it is a good one as well for you,Mr Loli and the furries plus chooks and hope that today goes well for you all :grphg:

I am in a bit of a rush this morning ,have two baskets full of irioning to get done and in the airing cupboard and this wet weather isn't helping as the furries are coming in with muddy paws so although we have mats down near the back door they sneak in while we are out and walk prints all over my throws so now have had to wash the throws so they are nice and clean ready for tomorrow:snork:

Mr Kandy is still in bed and i have been sitting here too long so will sign off now and will hopefully get back on here later today:biggrin:

Have a good day everyone and don't get too wet:reindeer:

        Aloha everyone,

I think Christmas is coming but it doesn't really feel like it.

I hope all of you that are a bit poorly are feeling better and that everyone is getting themselves organised OK.

I wonder whether any of your furries realise it's Christmas. One of our friends used to have a Boxer dog that loved Christmas. The moment they put up the Christmas tree and decorations he started getting excited and every morning when they had breakfast he would go and look under the tree. Early on Christmas morning they used to put all the presents under the tree and he used to run around like mad until they told him that he could open his present. His present was wrapped like all the others but instead of a bow on it they put a cardboard cut out of a bone. He knew exactly which was his and wouldn't let anyone help him open it. It had lots more wrapping than all the others because he loved getting all the wrapping paper off.

We used to go on holiday with these friends and they always had to bring back a present for the dog. One time, when we arrived back, they said to him 'no present today' and he was really upset! They then said 'only joking' and he started jumping up and down. He was a lovely dog and although he sounded quite bright he was the usual 'thick as two short planks' Boxer.

Kandy, as you know, Oscar didn't live in our house so there was no cat flap, but he was occasionally allowed into the kitchen. Most of the time he didn't really want to come in but he would come to the back door when Mrs S was there if he wanted to come in. He would then come in and stand on the mat whilst Mrs S washed his paws with a damp cloth. He then would walk around in the kitchen for a minute and settle down on the floor or in his settee (made for him by one of her patients). She would then sit on the floor and he would climb into her lap and she would do reflexology on his paws. He loved it. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

Mrs S is still, officially, on holiday but has one of her regular, very poorly cancer patients, coming. Last night I cooked and packaged enough meals for her and her hubby for a week and frozen all but one lot.

After the dry and mild last two days it has been drizzling all night but we have, so far, avoided the heavy rain that has been forecast. If the drizzle stops I'll get out there and do some more tidying up.

Keep well and have a great day

        Aloha!

            Aloha Everyone,

Well at least it is dry this morning although the ground is very wet. Just had my cornflakes and a cuppa tea and must make a move on getting certain foods out of the freezer for tonight's small gathering. Will be nice to see my friends again after so long. Then I merrily got called away from this and left it standing. Idiot I thought I had finished it. That's a good start for Christmas Eve. Well Everyone do have a lovely Christmas and look after yourselves and stay safe. God bless you all.

            :merryxmas:
