Hello Moyra, sorry to hear about your news.:grphg:
    Mrs Woo,get better soon.:grphg:

It seems to be a time of bad happenings, the lady I look after took a fall last week, got taken to hospital on Wednesday, discharged next day, as the is Norovirus at the hospital. She has been in bed since then, I had undertaken extra visits to make sure she was ok.
The senior nurse comes every day, doctor has also called 3 times, she is so under the weather, not life threatening. I am now going just in the morning, and the care home on call staff go in twice a day as well.

I had a phone call today from my doctor, as I had a blood test last week, after feeling faint the garden and also my whole body aching as well as hands swelling. Doctor tells me I have a significant anemia, and says it must be a blood leak in my body, so she is arranging tests for me at Reading hospital. Also mega iron tablets to take, it's not as if I do not eat well, and have ots of things that contain iron. Hey ho..

Had a bit of rain this evening , expecting some heavy showers overnight.

Nighty night to you all. :snooze:

Shiney, glad in a way that I don't have a big garden. They are ok when you are young fit and active but not when you are old and creaky:grphg:

Loli, hope your dress down day went off ok and that the chooks and furries are glad of some cooler weather:grphg:

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying some much needed rain for the garden:grphg:

I am busy at the moment digging up the next lot of spuds {Desiree}and although there wasn't many spuds per plant they were quiet large:grphg:

Had my results the other day for the blood test I had last week and control is still very good as is the Cholesterol so I am a happy bunny:grphg:

tti Moyra, sorry to hear about your BIL passing away. Unfortunately one never knows the precise moment when death happens and often one is left with a word that he/ she could have said or something he/she could have done differently and a sense of frustration. But life is not meant to be perfect anyway.
On a different note I just want to mention tha there are volunteer associations that provide a break to carers at no cost. It is very important that carers get breaks and think of themselves as well as the person they are looking after.

ps you will see some mispelled words in my posts from time to time / the telephone keyboard sometimes has a mind of its own and doesn't even let me rectify them. Sorry about that!

          Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I hope you get your computer sorted. :dbgrtmb:

Lili, I hope they soon sort your problem out for you. :blue thumb:

Kandy, well done on your test results :hapydancsmil:. Keep up the good work. :)

I managed to finish the hedge yesterday but didn't get around to clearing it up. By the time I'd done the cutting, packed up the hedge cutter (why is it always much heavier after I've finished using it :snork:), struggled to wind up the 300ft extension cable and put it away, I couldn't bend down to pick the clippings up. Mrs Shiney did that when she got back and filled up the neighbours' wheelie bin - he never uses it!

Loads of paperwork/emails etc today so won't get any gardening done.

Keep well and have a great day

          Aloha!

Have been speaking to my sister Kath and her family are falling apart rowing with each other its terrible. The granddaughter went on 'another site' and lamented about losing her grandfather who she only ever saw once or twice a year all within a hour of him going and before my nephew knew his dad had gone he saw it on there so naturally that upset the rest of the family as they felt she was sympathy grabbing. I have asked my sister if there is anything I can do like take the dog for her as I always looked after her other dog when she went on holiday. I am sure it would resolve one problem for her I think I could manage to walk the two of them either side of my walker he is only a little dog.
I wish I could do more for her. But it is difficult when she has four children and two of them are falling over themselves to help her as they should and the other two and their offspring are giving her grief. Tony would be most upset at his elder sons attitude about not delaying his holiday until after the funeral. The other son is going back to Canada on the 31st so she will have to have the funeral before then but he dearly wanted his mum to go back with him for a holiday but she thinks she will leave it until later in the year for the fall in Ontario. Maybe Jane will travel with her if not maybe my Steve will and I will look after the dog then. Happy Families, the worst time for them are funerals. Transfered from notepad.

Blood test results are back, doc needs to see me next Tuesday! Bet it is still the kidneys with CKD3. Might be liver as I know I must have a fair amount of fat around it.

            Aloha everyone,

Loli, do you make stoggie pie for Archie and Theo?

Moyra, I hope the blood results are not too bad :blue thumb:. If they were really bad they would have called you in immediately. So good luck on Tuesday :grphg:.

I've just been dealing with a recent bereavement in a family where there had been so many complications in that family during life that it has caused many problems now. A very vindictive divorce over 40 years ago and a family fight over inheritance when the grandparents died 30 years ago has come back to haunt them! There are nearly a hundred relatives who, over the years, split into a number of 'non-speaking to each other' groups. The family member lumbered with deciding who to inform etc and what to arrange has been asking for my advice. A headache I don't really need at the moment  but I've sorted most of it now.

We had one hour of lovely rain yesterday that made the garden very happy :hapydancsmil:.

I spent 9 hours yesterday working at the computer and I now have square eyes!

            Have a great day

            Aloha!
