GC was down earlier but i fixed it:heehee:

I hope everyone is ticking over nicely:dbgrtmb:

It's another beautiful sunny day here,i'm hoping to get some of the jobs in the garden finished that i abandoned after getting way layed when i cleaned the 'girls' out.....turns out the coop was infested with Red Spider mite and that was after a couple of steam cleans.....i set too and used some spray i'd got.....the results were amazing....from me just guessing about the RSM as they keep themselves well hidden....after spraying the coop and leaving it for half an hour i was amazed to see heeps of dead mites:yikes:...i'm hoping i've got them this time:paladin:....every day they get get cleaned out and once a week have a steam clean so how the little blighters got that bad i'll never know.....my poor girls must have been very uncomfortable....i know i was when i was cleaning the coop......

It's getting hot out there so i'll crack on before it gets too much:thumbsup:

    Have a great day everyone,take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,

Well, I took advantage of GC being down and took time to delete 2,000 emails :blue thumb:

I'm resting a bit today as my knee is feeling delicate after so much work done in the garden. Off to the chiropodist later for my regular footling :heehee: then, this evening we've been invited to some charity event. It's a bring some food to share, free booze, some professional singers and a box for donations. I hope it's a good event. :)

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

        Good morning everyone,

Had the fatal error message yesterday morning so went off to do more important things and had a most productive day so was well pleased:snork:

I cut back a lot of the plants that have gone over in the borders and have discovered some large cracks in the border and the lawn is shinking away from this particular border and I managed to rescue an allium bulb before it fell down into one of the cracks never to be seen again:biggrin:If it wasn't for the fact that we are on a water meter I would have the sprinkler on constantly but the plants will just have to have washing up water on them instead.

Our meal out was very nice and a great time was had by all so that is another birthday out of the way, just got the wedding at the end of the month:biggrin:

        Have a good day everyone:spinning:

          Aloha everyone,

Kandy, I'm pleased that you had a good time :blue thumb:. The plants are really suffering from being so dry so I'm going to put the sprinkler on the beds. At this time of year there usually isn't any need for doing that so I normally restrict the sprinkler to just the veggies. As my new sprinkler covers a lot of ground in one go and can be aimed very accurately (the width and depth are adjustable) it's extremely efficient and saves using too much water.

Our evening went much better than I expected it to. The company was good, food OK and entertainment excellent. The owner of the house was a professional singer and she had another singer with her and a fantastic pianist. The music was mainly songs from shows, blues, jazz etc.

I'm still taking it easy because of my knee and just did a small amount of clearing up the stuff that Mrs Shiney was cutting down. She went through the garden like a whirlwind :heehee: and had cut back enough stuff to fill six wheelie bins. Unfortunately, we have only three bins available so the rest had to go on the bonfire heap. I wish the farmer would harvest the wheat field at the back of us! There's not enough room on the compost heaps and a lot of it would take much too long to rot down.

I'll pick some more beans this morning and then add them to the ones in the fridge and bag up everything for sale at the club this afternoon. I expect to have at least 25 lbs ready for sale.
          :dbgrtmb:

Mrs Shiney is off to the flower show in about an hour so I'll help her load up her car. She's entering 27 classes so should come bck with some winners :)

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

          Good morning everyone,

Kandy i'm pleased you enjoyed your day out:dbgrtmb:....
Shiney...Go steady with that knee:blue thumb:....good luck to Mrs Shiney....not that she needs it....she can turn her hand to anything:love30::wub2:

          Woo....Beautiful picture:dbgrtmb:

          Moyra..Hope your appointment goes Ok:dbgrtmb:

Wishing Jaz ,lilli ,Penny et al well:dbgrtmb:

It's very dry here too ,even some of the 'drought' tolerant plans are starting to suffer so it's sprinkler time and while the water butts are all empty i'll give them a clean out....

Have a lovely day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

          Morning everyone,

Its another hot day here, have the AC on...need to get out and water soon too.

I was in Toronto yesterday, and need to drive to Owen Sound and make some deliveries for Brad, may pop in and see my dad since he lives there, retired back the end of May and is LOVING it!!

We had a busy weekend, but a good one, didnt have to cook on Sunday, so that was nice.

Woke just after 5am this morning, wide awake so Brad and i took Diesel for his walk and had my shower, now have some laundry in the machine....dry it before it gets too hot.

Off to get dressed and water, so enjoy your day everyone.

Hi everyone, just got back from the docs. He tells me my cholesterol has gone up again so he is going to change my tablet on that and I said does that mean you can do something about the chronic cramps I have been getting because that was down to the statins, he said yes and they are probably responsible for my being swimmy when I put my head down or try to stand up. He is also going to take me off the furosemide as he doesn't think I need them any more and reduce my diabetes tablet from 3 to 2 a day in future so generally good news!

                Aloha everyone,

Moyra, it sounds as though the change in medicine is going to help you a lot :blue thumb:

Loli, I'm going to move our sprinkler to the beds today as the forecast is hot for the next few days. The flowers are quite droopy .

Mrs Shiney had quite a good day yesterday but not as good as usual. Just a few 'Firsts', a lot of 'Seconds' and a lot of 'Thirds'. She can't remember exactly which they were and can't, at the moment, find any of the certificates . I saw some of them when she was bringing some of her stuff in from the car but even those seem to have disappeared!

My knee is improving and I can walk OK now but it still doesn't like going up steps. I'll continue mowing our wild area at the bottom of the garden. That should keep me out of mischief for a few hours. I'll think about having a bonfire as they should have finished the harvesting of the field at the back. They stopped their harvesters at 2 a.m. and I don't know whether it was because they had finished or had gone to bed. I'll have a walk down to the bottom of the garden later. If they haven't finished I'll have to not only postpone the bonfire but also the mowing as, if they are harvesting, I'd need an oxygen mask for the dust.

I think I shall go shopping first :)

                Have a great day

                Aloha!

                Good morning everyone,

How we doing? good i hope:dbgrtmb:

                Well done Mrs Shiney:dancy:.....

The garden looks a little fresher after having the sprinkler on but still looks a little tired....a bit like me too:biggrin:...i wondered why my back felt iffy when i opened my eyes this morning then realised it was probably something to do with lugging can after can of water up to the back of the garden to rescue my Rhodys:doh:...but they look happier today as do the ferns after being tied up...they'd splayed out looking proper exhausted....i've tried not to 'truss' them up too much so they still look natural-ish...i've aquired an old petrol mower that a gardening friend wanted rid of...it's been fully serviced and i can't wait to have a go with it.....i've been using an electric one since my other petrol mover gave up the ghost and i've never been keen on it....so i'll be having a play shortly:dbgrtmb:

Oooo the suns coming out ....starting to heat up:phew:

Have a great day everyone, take it easy and take care:SUNsmile:
