    Good morning everyone,

Hope everyone is on form today:dbgrtmb:

Lili....hope all went well at the hospital yesterday:dbgrtmb:

Had a busy few days at work so i'm not sorry it's my weekend off:yahoo:

In brief...one of the neighbours called Thursday evening to inform us that at 4.30ish that morning they spotted a man wandering up and down our drives....he was apparently 'looking for his dog'......(there's only 4 bungalows in our little cul-de-sac) ...we looked back on the cameras and sure enough there he was :th scifD36:....seemed a little odd that he should be trying the boot of Mr Loli's car then mine then the neighbours:scratch:....can't think his 'dog' would have been in there ey.........the police were informed and asked for the footage and were coming to collect it last night but they didn't arrive.... when they called on Thursday evening they asked the usual questions and had we heard anything.....they were watching Archi and Theo wrestleing with each other and they were suprised they didn't hear anything......told them they were fast asleep in bed:rolleyespink:.....Remind me to get 2 German Shepherds next time:heehee:

Sunny but cooler here this morning...a good gardening day:thumbsup:

I wish everyone well, have a lovely day and take care:SUNsmile:

    Aloha everyone,

Loli, that's a bit of a worry. Just as well he didn't force the boots of your cars.
Did the police take the tape in the end?

Shiney, hope your elbow is much better now and you got all your paperwork done too.

Lili, hope your examination went ok yesterday and nothing untoward was found to be wrong.

Have a good day everyone, Still worried about our WOO. God bless all.

    Aloha!:wub2:

    Good afternoon everyone,

Tried logging on earlier today but the site was down although it seems ok now:scratch:

Moyra, glad that the funeral went off ok and now at least you can look back with some fond memories of your bil:grphg:

Loli,it isn't very nice when there are people lurking about and hope the police can get something off of the recording.Just been hearing that there are some unsavoury characters lurking around the bottom end of our village and they are trying car boots and peering into peoples windows so not good:th scifD36:

Hope everyone else is ok and having a good weekend:smile:

I have got my posh frock on and Mr Kandy is togged up in his best suit as we are off to Kelmarsh Hall for a 1pm wedding of my nephew and his fiance, and the weather is very good apart from a fresh wind we had earlier so hopefully it has warmed up a bit now:biggrin:

    Have a good day everyone:smile:

    Good afternoon all,

Well, have got over my other 'Oscopy, the conclusion is that I not able to hold onto Iron because of a gastric bypass operation that I had over 5 years ago. My doctor still wants to do more tests, so waiting to see what else she has planned for me.

OH still in the wars with his leg wound- he had a fall end of June, huge haematoma just below his right knee. The was a small hole which has grown a bit bigger, well last Thursday it started dribbling, so I took him back to see the nurse who took a swab and redressed it. Yesterday it was weeping back through the dressing, so I took it off-well it was like a volcano erupting- pus and liquid came pouring through the hole. Well I redressed it with lots of wadding. :eeew:

The community nurse came today to redress it, she was not impressed with the dressings the nurse left with me, and the instruction that Peter should rest with his leg elevated. He now has a dressing from his calf up to 4 inches above the knee. She is coming again on Sunday, with some more powerful plugs to put in the hole to get the gunge to come out- just as well I am not squeamish.

Been busy this morning, I have made some fig and orange jam, damson jam and peeled enough apples for at least 8 apple pies.

Just finished lunch, we were given a large marrow, which I cut into 2 pieces, peeled and rolled in a herby dressing, baked until soft, I then sliced it lengthways, stuffed it with mashed potatoes, I then laid precooked chipolata sausages on top of that, topped with green beans and grated cheddar, and baked until golden brown. Now I feel stuffed, though I might be able to make space for a bit of mint ice-cream.:nonofinger:

Well hope everyone is enjoying the sun(if they have got it):spinning:

    Ta ta for now

    Aloha everyone,

I wish all of you and your families much better health :grphg:

Just a brief post today. :)

We've been away in Folkestone for the weekend as we had a cousins weekend down there. There were 16 of us and we had a great time. Weather was excellent and it was good fun to spend time and reminisce. :blue thumb:

Got home a little while ago and been watering plants, picking beans, courgettes etc.

We're off out in half an hour.

    Have a great evening

    Aloha!

Just realized that come the 17th September I have been a member for no less than 8 years. I wonder how many other members of 2005 the year of the birth of this site are still members? Anyone know?

              Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is OK this morning:dbgrtmb:
Shiney...I'm sure you all had a marvelous time catching up:dancy::dbgrtmb:

Moyra...it's really interesting to think back to when GC first started, you'll have seen lots of people come and go over the years ...there won't have been as many members back then either:blue thumb:

It's nice out there this morning feels milder than of late...when on my wandering the only down side was seeing feather scattered all over the garden...looks like Harry the Hawk was up before me.....i'm looking out for my Stoggie family but there's no sign this morning:sad:

Another quick cuppa is in order then it's off to work i go:coffee:

              Waves to all,
Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:
