      Aloha everyone,

Shiney glad you had a lovely weekend away enjoying yourself.

Loli, sad about the feathers left behind do you know what sort of bird it was?

WOO, my lovely fellow I was getting really worried about you. I wish Mrs WOO and your daughter better health and quite understand your priorities my dear.

Have a good day all, God bless.
      Aloha!:wub2:

            Aloha everyone,

Good to see you, Woo :blue thumb:

Loli, it sounds as though your boys and girls are having a linely time. :)

It got very hot and sticky here yesterday and looks set to be the same today and tomorrow. The sprinkler is going to be working overtime today. I tried to thin out some of our plants yesterday but couldn't get the fork through the rock hard soil. A few hours of soaking will sort that out, I hope.

I've just weighed up and packaged 20lb of beans and will start bagging up some golden plums soon, ready for the bridge club this afternoon.

Keep well and have a great day

            Aloha!

            Good morning everyone,
Nice to see you on board Woo amd please send my fondest wishes to Mrs Woo and your daughter and hope that with your Love and care they soon feel a bit better:grphg:

The wedding was a great sucess and the happy couple have flown off to Vietnam and Singapore for their honeymoon and will be watching the Singapore Grand Prix while they are out there.Glad to see the money we gave them for a wedding prezzie is being put to good use:snork::cool:The only downside of the wedding was the horrendously loud music and it got so bad we left at just after nine and my ears have been ringing ever since:hate-shocked:

Still got dry weather here and the borders still have large cracks in them but with luck we shall get rain on Friday which should help.

Hope you all have as good a day as I am going to have:biggrin:

            Aloha everyone,
Going to be another hot stinker today. I'm afraid I have had enough not of the sun but of the sticky heat. Still I suppose you cannot have one without the other.
WOO good to see you and to learn that the family are resting.
Loli, I guess we would make a bit of noise too if we were pushing out eggs. How many chooks have you got now and are they all named?
Shiney, you are doing incredibly well with the beans.
Gdnam, morning Steve, have a good day.
Well have a lovely day all and don't get too hot and sticky. God bless.
            Aloha!:wub2:

              Aloha everyone,

Loli, that's lovely bet they all know their names too.

WOO that's a lovely picture. I assume it is the moon but cannot be sure because of the colour!

I went out to lunch with some friends I used to talk to on Saga forum now on Buzz 50. There was 6 of us ladies and one lovely man. He was in his element as we all love him very much. We had a tremendous meal and there was a choice of twelve meals and all at £3.50 for the over 55's. Brilliant value for money! This was the Ship in Tiptree, well worth a visit for anyone in easy reach. It was a fair journey for me but I had company all the way so wasn't too traumatic for me.

Have a lovely day everyone, God bless.

              Aloha!

              Aloha everyone,

I hope all of you feel a lot better :blue thumb:

I've done three and a half hours in the garden this morning. I was up at dawn to have a bonfire before any neighbours had their windows open. It went very successfully :yahoo: (@Jenny namaste )

              P1180066.JPG

              P1180075.JPG

I then had to do a rescue job on the Williams pear tree. A very large branch, laden with fruit, had broken completely and was resting on the other branches. As it was so heavy I had to get up a ladder and cut it a branch at a time. Then I removed the fruit that should ripen and it weighed over 100lb. :hate-shocked:
              P1180085.JPG

              P1180084.JPG

I've also been trying to dig out a load of crocosmia but my ordinary fork wouldn't even start to move it. So I get the big heavy duty fork, all steel and too heavy for Mrs Shiney to lift, and managed to get some of the crocosmia out around the edges. I'm going to have to use a sharp spade to divide it befor digging!

It's getting pretty warm out there.

              Have a great day

              Aloha!
