    Aloha everyone,

I've got to be brief - for a change :heehee:. Have to reboot as I've been updating virus checker and a lot of other things. Then I want to get out into the garden and do a lot of mowing as it was too wet yesterday.

I sorted Barry out. They were all easy to do. A couple of letters from the Council which were easier to do by phone - renewing of his assisted waste removal licence (doesn't have to put the bins out on the pavement) and their response about trying to sort out some residents that have been parking badly so he couldn't get his mobility scooter through.

He also received his new road fund licence from the DVLA for his mobility scooter. Unfortunately, it was for the scooter he got rid of six months ago!! I'd dealt with that paperwork at the time so I returned it with a 'polite' note about their efficiency. :heehee:

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

    Good morning everyone,

Its going to be a hot one here, but rain later on though, supposed to rain off and on all weekend!! My next door neighbors are getting married tomorrow in their backyard, so it would be nice for the rain to hold off, but thankfully they rented a tent.

I have some deliveries today for Brad, and i think that Natalie is going to come with me, she's due next Wednesday but i think she'll go over her date...she doesn't like to hear that though (lol)!! Kaits waiting to get the "phone call" from us, Brad will be heading down to get her once she goes into labor, she wants Kait there, if it all works out.

This weekend is the "big move", the building inspector held them up, he wanted a couple more things done, so we've all been working away, and now that Dan's parents are home for a month, flew in from Paraguay, they've been helping. Natalie did set up the babies room, so all the furniture is put together, and she's been working away on her kitchen, putting things where she wants them, and not where people think she should (lol).

Off to water my plants on the porch, those are the ones that wont get any water........so enjoy your day everyone.

      Aloha everyone,

Woo, it's good to see you back on here :dancy:

      It's dull but mild today.

I've got the first of the companies coming round today to give me a quote for solar panels then there's a lot of work to be done in the garden.

I'm going to completely mow down the wild area. We're having trouble with badgers digging for grubs etc down there and they've destroyed 400 sq ft of the area. There are mainly shallow holes with ocassional ones that are deeper and full of pooh . They've also started moving further into the garden. From what I've read up about it they aren't so keen on well cut grass. I'll also spray some smelly stuff and hope it deters them.

Tonight we're off to a charity event - haven't the faintest what it's about but Mrs Shiney said we're going :heehee:. To speak is to obey! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

          Good morning everyone...

I hope everyone is on form:dbgrtmb:

Ooo Penny...it sounds like Natalie's 'nest building' is well underway:dancy:....it's all very exciting...just think by this time next week we could well have a new member:hapfeet::dbgrtmb:

Shiney....that naughty Badger:nonofinger:....for all they are fabulous creatures you don't want them moving in or you'll have no garden left.....hope you manage to put him off:blue thumb:....

We're back from our few days away and after the initial first two busy days helping our friends out managed to get a few good walks in....it really is beautiful in the Yorkshire Dales....even on a gloomy day it still looks lovely.....Bolton Abbey never fails to impress me even though i've been umpteen times and there is a little garden tucked away in the hillside that has beautiful views called Parcevall Hall....it's so peaceful and if anyone should visit that area i can highly reccomend it:wub2:.....

Well it's a cracking morning here.....and the temperature is set to rise to the low 70's:hapydancsmil:
Lots to catch up in the garden,my veg patch is looking a bit bedraggled....the beans are doing well but one of my pumpkin plants has given up the ghost so that will free up some space....i've a few plants to find a home for too that i bought while i was away.... so some shuffeling is in order......

I wish everyone well, have a lovely day and take care:SUNsmile:

            Aloha everyone,

Zigs so that works for foxes and badgers alike.

Shiney hope that works for you.

Loli, glad you had a nice few days away.

My sister just phoned back home from holiday and wanted me to take Bertie back to Mountnessing I told her I wasn't feeling that good and hadn't got any petrol in the car. I do think after I have looked after for two weeks tomorrow she could come and pick him up from me as I picked him up from her in the first place.

Oh well have a good day all, God bless.

            Aloha!:wub2:

            Aloha everyone,

Thanks, Zigs :blue thumb: As soon as I've been able to mow everything down I will 'scent' the garden. I'll have a word with Mr Jeyes :)

We went to a charity 'horse race' evening last night. Apart from raising £1,100 for the local hospice there was nothing to recommend it apart from the fish and chips. Unfortunately, I'm not into horse racing, the films of the races were pretty old and the noise of the people yelling in support of the horses they backed was much too loud for me (I have trouble with noise ).

We actually won a few races (about £2 prize money each time :heehee: and a bottle of wine for owning a winning horse) and a raffle prize. I'd rather have just given them the money and put my feet up at home. Who's a boring old fart? :old: :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

The long grass is too wet for the mower to cut so I think I shall work on hedge cutting. Still got 50ft (down each side) to cut and the top to reduce. That should be more than enough for me today.

Sarafi had a lazy day in a box of apples yesterday. It was undercover in the pergola so he kept out of the constant drizzle :). We've never seen him stay still for so long! Even when it's raining hard we've seen him out hunting, but he slept there for at least five hours.
            P1180343.JPG

            Maybe he's become an appleholic!

            Have a great day

            Aloha!
