      Good morning everyone,

That time seems to be drawing closer when I have problems getting up in the mornings and this morning seems like one of them and at the moment I feel like my brain is fogged up:snork:

Have been busy this week getting all the holiday stuff washed, dried and ironed and the van dusted and hoovered out so all Mr Knady has to do is wash the outside of it then it is ready to go back into storage:biggrin:

Also had a very large bag of runner beans to prepare for freezing which are all done now:snork:

At this rate I shall feel like I willl need another holiday:biggrin:

Have a very good day everyone and hope the weather is kind to you all:SUNsmile:

      Aloha everyone,

It's another brilliantly sunny morning . We had lunch in the garden yesterday and had to sit in the shade because the sun was so hot!

I'm off to the surgery today to have my legs checked and measured. I don't wait for them to call me in otherwise it would never happen. They're supposed to be checked and measured every six months to make sure I'm still having the correct pressure stockings (which I know I'm not!). Just to make sure they do it properly I do all the measurements myself before I go and check that they agree with me :).

Unfortunately, most surgeries prescribe one of three sizes of stocking - which is OK in most cases (there are four other sizes for special circumstances). What even they don't seem to realise is that there are two variations within those sizes so they just prescribe the bog standard one. I've spoken to the manufacturers about it to check that they still do the different ones.

I got plenty of pressure washing done yesterday and another couple of days should do it :blue thumb:

We've been cooking and freezing a load of pears (done in different ways) and I've just got to find room in the freezer for the last batch which is cooling in the fridge. The runner beans slowed down the other week but have taken on a new life with this warm weather. I've just bagged up another 10lb for sale tonight.

Keep well and have a great day

      Aloha!

      Morning everyone,

Lili, hope OH's leg is improving. And you are feeling better too.

Loli, I have noticed how dark the mornings are getting. I'm afraid Amber's walk will have to move back to compensate for it.

Kandy, when you see it is still dark outside makes you want to turn over and catch some more z's

Shiney , hope you get the size stockings you need, fingers crossed.

Have a good day all, God bless.

Moyra, thanks for your wishes but I don't leave it to chance. I already know which ones I need and shall make sure they prescribe them. They're used to me at the surgery, although I don't go very often, and the doctor usually asks me what's wrong with me and whether I've already worked out what I need from him/her :heehee:. Most of the time it's just to get them to check me to see whether there's anything I may have missed.

      Hi everyone,

Popping in....i had to leave around 6am this morning to head down to Toronto, Kait came with me so it wasnt too bad, back by 9:30 as i had my mainucure and then had to head to Barrie which is an hour away to do some deliveries, both of the girls came with me.

No baby news yet, she isnt even having any pain!!

We are supposed to go out for breakfast with some friends tomorrow, but we'll see, looks like Brad has to work again....he is insanely swamped with work, he's offering to pay $27 dollars an hour and cant find a decent welder!!! Sooner or later he'll find someone.

Having a glass of wine and just relaxing after my long day, was supposed to go grocery shopping but didnt feel like it, so that'll be tomorrow instead.

Off to get another glass of wine, and some a small bowl of ketchup chips..........so enjoy your evening everyone.

      Good morning everyone.....

I hope everyone is on form:dbgrtmb:

I had a bit of a restless night...dreaming of loosing my 'girls' to the fox:rolleyespink:....it was probably due to the fact that just as i was ready to go to work yesterday morning and it was light enough to see i found the young Stoggie i'd been babysitting on one of the lawns with his head missing:sad:....i looked back on the camera and there he was....he looks like one of this years young ....
      P1020246.JPG
I had to shoo him off just before i went to bed last night as he was showing just a bit too much interest in the chicken run:nonofinger:......so he was on my mind:rolleyespink:.....over the years the foxes who do come every night anyway have usually just had a wander around but this one has a cheeky way with him:th scifD36:...

It looks like we are all in for a fine day today:dbgrtmb:...i've a list as long as your arm of things i want to get done in the garden :dancy:.....
Hope your appointment went well Shiney:dbgrtmb:

      Wishing everyone well:dbgrtmb:

Enjoy your day and take care everyone:SUNsmile:

        Morning all

had a bit of a lay-in until 7am this morning, was really tired after yesterdays 14 hour working.
If I can summon up some energy, I have plenty to do in the garden, but then can relax this afternoon at The Cobblers.

@Loli , I hope you have 'the girls' well protected, as a youngster he will not have learned NOT to mess with the Female of the Human species yet !

        Have a great day everyone.

          Aloha everyone,

          Got lots to do today.

Loli, I hope you don't have any problems with the foxes. Seeing as your a 'cryogenics engineer' :heehee: can't you freeze him with a look?

The nurse checked my legs and agreed with me about my stockings :blue thumb:. She also looked at my records and said that my BP is too high and I should be monitored. So I'll do some readings on our machine at home and keep some records.

          Another sunny day

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

            Morning Everyone,

Loli, that is scarey, you need some bells and whistles or something to trip him up so that he lets you know he is about.

Penny when exactly is the baby due? I wish her all the luck with having an easy time of it.

Steve 14 hours is a long working day for someone with your disabilities, I hope you haven't over done things.

Waves to WOO, Kandy, Shiney and Lily et al and hope you all have a good day, take care and God bless you all.

Edit: Shiney, you just crept in under the line while I was typing. Take care of that high BP of yours.

Morning all, hope everyone is well.

@moyra I was ok, just very tired. The reason for such a long day was all the time I spent sitting in traffic queues. The A34 and A43 were absolutely horrendous but I had no choice but to use them to get back as my last drop was in Oxford. Earlier in the day I had 4 drops in Birmingham and that was during morning rush hour!

That is a lovely sunrise, bodes well for the rest of the day

Got a whole bed cleared of annuals, dug over, some compost and 'rockdust' added, and replanted with some spring bulbs, a Perennial Chrysanthemum (wizard), Potentilla (Gold Sovereign), Rumex Sanguineus, Gallardia, Wall flowers and Primroses, plus a temporary home for a Hosta that I need to rehome elsewhere. There is already a Dicentra Spectrablis at the back by the wall.

Here is a picture of the garden the bit worked on is the bit just right of the shed.

              last cosmos.jpg

The Bed during the work, you can see the Dicentra at the back, plus a few weeds that managed to get started despite being completely shaded out by the Cosmos, Zinna and Clary that was here.
              during.jpg
And what it looks like now, I have still to add a compost and then bark chip mulch.
              after.jpg
And then I went to The Cobblers, who could only manage a dour 0-0 draw with Morecombe.

More to do out there today, hope the sun shines as promised.

Have a great day one and all.
