      Aloha Everyone,

Shiney, hope you are feeling better this morning.

Today, I have relented and not taken Amber out for a walk. The compacted snow on ice has made it so dangerous out there for me. My crutch kept slipping on it to so I had no support. Amber didn't think much of it but I let her out into the garden and told her to be a nice clean girl and she knows what that means so she has adorned the garden with yellow snow and a nice little pile which I will clean up after the snow has gone but at least I know she has toileted and is comfortable.

I hope everyone else is staying safe and warm, roll on spring!

      Aloha!:wub2:

      Good morning everyone,

Its another frigid day here, they didnt let the kids out for recess yesterday and i doubt they will again today.

I have to drive over to Owen Sound this morning and make a couple deliveries for Brad, supposed to have snow squalls over that way this afternoon, so i want to get over and get back, worse case scenerio is my Dad lives there, if i happened to get stuck.

I'm off to Toronto tomorrow morning, so hopefully we dont get anymore snow, Brad had to snowblow the drive lastnight and it could be done again today.

Anyhow......hope everyone has a great day!

        Aloha everyone,

Woo, I'm not too bad but feel a bit rough in the mornings and evenings.

I went to the quack yesterday and she checked me over. I'm not sure whether to feel complimented or insulted . She gave me loads of checks and asked loads of questions and then said that the results of the checks and questions puts me in the not at risk category, so I should not worry and only come back if I get a fever or a high temperature (not quite sure about the difference). That seemed OK until she finished it off by saying 'you're not getting any younger'!!!!!

I did get a bit of a laugh when I first went into her surgery. She asked me if she had ever seen me before and I said that the last time was 1994. So she quickly checked back on her computer and then said 'there's nothing wrong with your memory!'.

I may go shopping when I've recovered from my morning coughing :blue thumb: :). It may give me a bit of inspiration as to what to cook, as I've lost my appetite a bit.

Keep warm, be carful out there and have a great day

        Aloha!

        Good morning everyone,
I'm sorry this virus is hanging around Shiney hopefully you are over the worst now:grphg: i usually turn to a hot curry if my appetite goes ,atleast you get a bit of a taste of something...:dbgrtmb:
Wise decision Moyra:dbgrtmb: don't even chance it....Amber is a lucky girl to get looked after like you do...it's hard enough walking with the ground like it is without a dog with you....they are opening drop in centres here for injuries caused by folks falling in the snow:ouch1: I've had a few close "you've been framed" moments:phew:

        Please go carefull everyone....:grphg:
        Waves to all...
Have a safe day and Take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha everyone,

Loli, I succumbed to taking her last night after Steve took the rubber off the end of my crutch so that I could get a purchase on the ground. It worked and it was much easier to walk with it like that. I have taken her this morning and everywhere is thawing out thankfully.

Shiney hope you are managing to clear your chest this morning. It really is hanging on.

WOO hope you are coping ok with this weather too. Take care everyone and do stay safe, warm and well.

        Aloha!:wub2:

Good evening everyone, been up to my eyes in it lol. Both sets of parents are still with us thank goodness and we have been back and forth keeping an eye on them and checking heating etc. What between the parents and working at the boys houses we don't seem to have a minute :snork:
              Have a nice evening.

                Aloha everyone,

I've started feeling quite a bit better during the middle of the day but still rough in the evenings and mornings. I'm not felling brilliant at the moment because the morning trouble with my chest and coughing has given me a really bad headache . I think I'll do a load of cooking as that usually takes my mind off things. :)

We still have snow on the ground so we've been putting food out on the ground for the blackbirds. We don't normally put any food on the ground (because of rats) but make an exception in these conditions. Yesterday there were 11 blackbirds wandering on the lawn :blue thumb:

Keep well and be careful out there.

                Have a great day

                Aloha!

Moyra do be carefull ,the roads are fine around here now but the pavements are shocking ...can't understand why nothing has been done with them...there is a box of grit in the cu-de-sac which i'd normally scatter around but i can't afford to set my ribs off again...but know one else seems to be bothering:frown:
Blimey Penny, take care ..."frost bite in 5 mins" now that's what i call cold.......
Mr L is working from home today so i'm going to clean the windows and do some baking to keep from under his feet:thumbsup: Next place i move to will be a tiny little cottage with a couple of windows....there's far to many in this place:phew:
