    Good morning everyone,

How we all doing? Good i hope:dbgrtmb:

It's very quiet and still out there today apart from the birds....lots of Blackbirds have appeared and there seems to be some sort of dispute going on :rolleyespink: they are flying at such speed whizzing in and out of the trees i'm amazed they haven't come to grief....

I've plenty of jobs to be getting on with in the garden....the leaf collecting season is well underway:autlvs: and I WILL get my GH finished:biggrin:.....

    Have a great day everyone...Take care:SUNsmile:

    Aloha everyone,

I'm just rushing out to take Mrs Shiney to the station as she's off to a lunch on the river in the Big Smoke. I'm going to do the shopping, library, some gardening and then off to open up the bridge club. That should finish just in time for me to pick Mrs Shiney up from the station and then I'll cook dinner for us before I go out - for a change :heehee:

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

    Aloha everyone,
Back to the notepad. I should have been going to lunch at a carvery in South Woodham Ferrers today with the gang but unfortunately not feeling too good and I have Amber unwell to so have to take her to the vets at 11am. I am not sure what is wrong with her she may have something caught in her throat as she keeps coughing and trying to clear her throat. I was wondering if it was acorns which I had to stop her from picking up!
Well you all seem to be pretty busy yourselves. WOO I wish your lovely OH better I am sorry it seems to be ongoing. Have a good day everyone else. Take care and stay dry! God bless.
    Aloha!

    Morning everyone!!

Its cold here this morning, had some frost overnight, had to let the truck warm up, thank god for electric start!!! Glad I got all my plants moved up to the shop this weekend.:blue thumb:

I'm home today, so I have all the bedding in the wash, need to rake some leaves and cut back some ornamental grasses. We brought home the snow blowers yesterday and Brad did the maintenance on the furnace and changed the filter, so its on and good to go when it gets cooler.:)

Had a really good weekend, busy but good...lots of food, family and friends and the weather was amazing, couldn't ask for more.:SUNsmile::SUNsmile:

I'm off to put some sheets into the dryer, so enjoy your day everyone.:autlvs:

      Hello everyone,
Well the vet said they thought Amber had been scrounging and eaten something she should not have done but they are not sure. They said that even though she had had her kennel cough protection it could be that she has been in contact with a dog that hadn't. Also though she had been scrounging to give her the upset tummy that really embarrassed me as I had taken her for a walk before we went to the vet and she had done what was necessary and then she found she had to let go in the waiting room at the vets. Embarrassed or what. I had the bags with me in my pocket but because it was squigy it was difficult to clean up off tiled floor. So some kitchen roll came to the rescue. I had to take her out again and missed my place in the queue so the 11 am appointment soon turned into 11.45 before we were seen. I hope everyone else is ok and getting through the chores and programme they have for the day. Have a good afternoon everyone, God bless.

Awww Moyra...what a day you've had...i hope you are OK although by the sounds of it you haven't had time to look after yourself....It is embarrassing when they have an accident in public...When Theo goes to the vets they get a mop out ready....his is a nervous thing:whistle:but poor Amber must have been feeling off:doggieshmooze:...did the vet give her anything for it?

      'Arf noon all,

sorry forgot to wish everyone Good morning (shame on me).

@moyra , give Amber a cuddle from me, she must be so uncomfortable, bless her. Hope you are both on the mend asap.

@Penny in Ontario , glad all was good at the weekend, you had better start thinking about wrapping up nice and warm.

@Loli , I am surprised you haven't finished the green house yet, do we need to get the whip out or would that be too much fun :heehee:

Saying that, I have been a bit of a lazy so-and-so, only watering pots, and the babies in the blow-away, pulled up the odd weed. Waiting for the grass to dry out a little so I can give it a cut. I seem to be less tolerant of the cold winds since I have had my condition, whereas it never bothered me before. My hands and arms can become most painful at times. Still I will soldier on, as I am 'healing' better now than I ever did doing the swimming and gym, being back at work, I think, has helped, if for nothing else but knowing I can pay my bills.

Well dinner won't cook itself, and there is a certain Football match that cannot be missed tonight, so enjoy the rest of the day my lovely GC friends.

I'm pretty sure you haven't seen this picture, but when you had said about "wrapping up nice and warm", in a few weeks it'll start to snow and it'll look like this......my house from 2 years ago!!

                Aloha everyone,

Still trying to catch up on things. :phew:

Moyra, that must have been uncomfortable for both of you! I wish Amber lots better and you need to have a rest. :blue thumb:

Mrs Shiney had a good time at her pensioner's association lunch on the Thames. She arrived back at the station too early for me to pick her up so she started walking the two miles, uphill, home. Fortunately someone stopped and gave her a lift. She can do the walk but the road can be dangerous as there is no footpath.

I don't plan on doing any gardening today apart from, maybe, picking pears and apples. So I should be able to get some paperwork cleared (never enough). I'm off to lunch (Indian) with an accountant. He works for himself and rarely gets a chance to let of steam about problems with his work - mainly his problem clients - and enjoys the opportunity to talk to me about it. I, sometimes, write his letters for him as he's not the most tactful of people :heehee:.

I made a lovely chicken soup yesterday that should last a few days and I'm going to make an old fashioned oxtail stew today. About six hours of cooking should get it just right :).

Sarafi has been round looking for our friend. She pampered him too much and now he keeps trying to barge his way into the house!

Keep well and have a great day

                Aloha!

                Good morning everyone,

Moyra i hope both you and Amber are feeling better today:dbgrtmb:

Shiney...that was nice that someone gave Mrs Shiney a lift back home.....it can be dangerous when there aren't any footpaths....many a time i've nearly ended up in a ditch trying to get off the road with the dogs when cars are whizzing past...it's even worse when there is only a couple of feet of verge and a wall and trying to keep the dogs in....
Ooo Oxtail soup...i haven't had that in years...:dbgrtmb:....

I have to pop into work today for a couple of hours to do a bit paperwork but in the mean time i need to tidy up the mess Mr Fox has made where he's dug up my lettuce....it's forecast torrential rain here and if i don't get the soil up it'll make an even worse mess of the gravel:rolleyespink:....

                Wishing everyone well:dbgrtmb:

Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:
