Woo....i'm positively trying to bounce around this morning...

What a cracking start to November...it's beautiful out there,feels quite mild and the sun is on full power too...i've been watching a Stoggie and a young collared Dove...it looks like the Dove thinks the Stoggie is it's mum and keeps pestering her for food but just keeps getting a clip round the ear holei hope the weather doesn't take a sharp turn just yet as it appears there have been some late broods with this mild weather ...lots of babies around....

Morning everyone.

Its raining and its so windy, thankfully everything outside is secure!! Halloween went well last night, the rain stopped for awhile, so that was nice for the kids, we had about 40 kids, down from last year but I think it was the weather too.

I'm off to make some deliveries for Brad shortly, and have a couple errands for myself to do, cant believe its the weekend already...thank god!!

Good afternoon all,

Have been severely hit with the 'Man Flu', have just about managed to make it into work, but have had to curtail my interweb activities as just could not concentrate on anything.

Got sent to 'coventry' today about 1pm, no one would speak to me, as my boss (where I am working) told me to go home, and I would not ( I still work for an agency), by 10 to 2, I was falling asleep whilst booking in deliveries and decided to come home, as I left I said goodbye to everyone and they were fine with me. Seems my boss had told them all he tried to send me home, but I declined, and they collectively gave me the cold shoulder, until I agreed, as I left everyone was ok with me, saying have a good weekend and hope you feel better soon. For a minute or two I felt on top of the world. I am only 'agency' but after 5 weeks on the same job, feel pretty much part of the team, and it seems the others have accepted me as part of that team.

I'll catch up with you all over the weekend, health permitting, until then have a good rest of the day.

 

Steve, that is nice if they have accepted you as part of the team. Hope you feel better soon take care.

Woo...i've just been in the garden with Archi as something must have upset his tummy while out there there are two Owls having a right good confab....but it's too dark to see them...they can only be literally feet away it's fascinating listening to them....Hope all is well with you and yours

I can't decided whether i have a cold or not it's one of those crazy ones....one minute i feel full of it the next it seems to wain luckily i feel fine this morning which is a good job seen as i'm at work this weekend....

Steve{Gdnam},sorry to hear you have the flu and hope you feel better soon and make sure next year you get the jabWhen I was working for one company we had an agency worker with the flu and she wouldn't go home because she didn't want to lose her Christmas wages for not turning up on the last day so stayed and spread the bug around.Eight of us went down with it and it ruined my Christmas but I do know how you feel when you don't want to let people down

I had just finished trying to get through to Tesco's yesterday and then had a phone call from one for my friends to say her hubby had passed away so just waiting to hear when the funeral is going to beWe have been friends with them for 33 years so a long time and many memoriesIt would have been their Golden Anniversary in February next year as well

Sorry to hear of your sad news...that's such a shame

I know what you mean about the 'sick' situation in the work place....there's nothing worse than spreading viruses around but some work places don't make it easy for the staff....not only do some not give sick pay in my particular case you are even threatened with disciplinary action if you are off on 3 or more separate occasions in 6 months...even with a doctors note....i'd love to fight that one because i can't see how that stands ...

What night....i obviously missed where it said on the forecast East Yorkshire was in for a battering it's just getting light enough to see there isn't any damage but i'm amazed.....It's still quite fierce out there....
