    Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is OK this morning:dbgrtmb:

Moyra...Hope your back is OK ,take it easy:dbgrtmb: and you to "M":dbgrtmb:

Shiney hope the match went well:dbgrtmb:...

It's dark and wet here but feels a lot milder this morning...spotted the foxy digging for worms earlier....threw him a hand full of biscuits which he cautiously picked up and wandered off with:dbgrtmb:...

I'm back at work this morning and i'm looking forward to listening to the two old soldiers we have telling of their war years especially today...for all they have forgotten almost everything else in their lives that's part of their memory that is still intact:love30:

    A poignant day....

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

        Aloha Everyone,

I don't yet have the result of yesterdays match. My partner and I finished early and left before all the scores and results had been collated. It took us nearly three hours to get there, instead of 75 minutes, because a lorry turned over on the motorway ! Fortunately the journey home was OK.

"M" and Moyra, I hope your backs are better this morning. I also hope that everyones coughs and colds are coming to an end. :blue thumb:

Moyra, I'm sorry I can't help you re your dongle as I don't know anything about them. Although we don't use wifi at home we have a hub (to replace the old router) that was given to us by our ISP. Have you asked your ISP whether they provide them. Ours was free. When a cousin came round with his ipad he was able to use it here (with the password).

        Have a great day

        Aloha!

        Aloha everyone,
The two minute silence just observed. I hope everyone is ok.
Shiney I hope you enjoyed the tournament yesterday and I do hope when you hear the results it is as you wish.

My back is better today, I hope M's is too.

Have a good day all, God bless.
        Aloha!:wub2:

I've got the results through. We won 13-7. The results are always out of 20 so that it shows how good or bad your result was. We're now heading the league table with only two matches to go. :blue thumb:

Cold and wet start to the day. At least my 'man flu' seems to be clearing.

              Aloha everyone,

@Gdnam We've won the league three times in the last four years :blue thumb:. Although I captain the team occasionally I'm not the official team captain. I take over when the captain isn't playing. We have a fairly large squad, picked by the Selection Committee, and the captain picks the team for every match. The playing team consists of eight players.

She has to balance what the player's form is like, with trying to give all the squad a chance at a match. That's quite difficult. What usually happens is that the captain plays in half the matches
and I play in the other half. If, towards the end of the season, our position on the league table is getting critical then we both play in the matches. As it happens, I shan't be in the country for the last two matches.

It has been quite wet for the last 24 hours and looks as if it will continue all day. All I did in the garden yesterday was to sort out the bird feeders. I've put in the last of the summer/autumn feed and the winter feed should arrive tomorrow.

As I'm working hard on our next trip, I've got lots of paperwork to study and make sure our arrangements run smoothly. I've already had to adjust things as we can't get flights on the days I'd planned (well, not at anything approaching a reasonable price!).

Sorting out holiday insurance has been a bit of a bind. For many years we haven't had to worry about it because we got it free with our bank account. The bank has just dropped it as a perk  and are offering it at a 30% discount - which is higher than most of the quotes I've looked at :hate-shocked:. Insurance gets a lot pricier as you get older so there are a lot less companies that do an economical price. We also have to go through a medical questionnaire. It's all sorted now :blue thumb:.

I'm now organising transfers, where necessary, in the different countries (airport to hotel etc). I shall have to double check visa and vaccination requirements but I don't think anything is compulsory this time - apart from Yellow Fever for which we have another year to go on our ten year cover.

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!
