    Aloha everyone,

After a night of rain the sun is trying to come out. :blue thumb:

I'm still working on sorting out the details of our hols. I had to fill in some complicated forms from our surgery and all I wanted to know is whether there are any compulsory vaccination/tablets etc needed. The forms said that we'd need to have an appointment for them to go over everything and for them to give us advice about vacs, hygiene, mozzies etc. So, when I dropped the completed forms in to the surgery I pinned a letter to them saying that all I want to know is if anything is compulsory and I just want a call or email saying yes or no. I don't want to waste their time, or mine, for anything else. I hope they don't get too upset.

I've got the chiropractor coming this morning for my six weekly service :heehee:. Then I'm in meetings all afternoon.

Moyra, I hope you get on with your new computer. I've been having trouble with this one for a month or two. It won't shut down when I tell it to :nonofinger: and just hangs on trying to install updates. When I restart it I have to start in 'Safe Mode' and then tell it to restart. Otherwise it just freezes. It runsd OK if I leave it on all the time but gradually gets slower. I'm going to send it to hospital when we go away.

We had a lovely sunset yesterday.

    Have a great day

    Aloha!

Shiney....It can be frustrating when all you need is a simple answer and they go round the houses for an age just to give you it:rolleyespink:...if you needed to know more you'd have made the appointment...there seems to be so much time wasted these days and you're actually do them a favour ....hope all your plans a going well....

      Beautiful sunset :wub2:....

Moyra...hope your getting to grips with your computer,i'd like to offer help but that could be dangerous:pcthwack::heehee:....

Hope everyones backs and bugs are on the wain :dbgrtmb:

I've been up pottering since silly o'clock as i couldn't sleep but i did see the Space Station fly by:blue thumb:

      Aloha everyone,

Taking me a while to get used to it. I had to have a technician sort out the hub again this morning for hours as when I went to sign in it had not got my hub as available. Still hopefully it will be ok now.

Shiney, sounds as though you have problems with your one. Lovely piccies.

Loli, hope you are ok today and you too, Steve and WOO.

Steve is doing some rearranging of his units in his bedroom which involves sawing and screwing and all sorts as he has disposed of one of the large tanks in there and wants to put his television at a more convenient height to what it was.

Well have a good day everyone and stay safe. God bless.

      Aloha! :wub2:

          Aloha everyone,

Well, I had an interesting meeting. We were working on planning for the effects on local infrastructure that some major, possible, developements nearby will have. There are plans for the developement of 3,000 houses on the south of the town, 10,000 houses on the north of the town and a new motorway junction - no planning permission applied for yet. The main problem is that although the developements will be part of the town they are on land governed by different authorities. The town is an individual District Council and the two housing developements are in two other District Councils.

None of the politicians in the three authorities are willing to say what they think because they're already planning their re-election campaigns for May 2015!!!!!!! They're scared to say anything until public consultation has happened as they don't want to alienate their voters.

Don't you just love politics?

It's nice and sunny this morning but not all that warm.

Friends coming round for coffee this morning and we're going out with other friends for lunch.

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

          Good morning Woo and everyone,

Yep on form Woo thanks hope you are too:dbgrtmb:

Moyra....really pleased you're all sorted with your computer:dancy:....I'm rather ignorant with computers and really should learn more but i'm a bit of a Luddite and me and technology don't hit it off:pcthwack:....

Shiney....'Politics':rolleyespink: now there's another one i'll never understand:doh:In the ..what was a small village where i live they have thrown up buildings/houses/shops on just about every green space there is.Plans were drawn up,committees formed, protest made but they went a head regardless....it's such a shame because now even trying to visit the local shops is a nightmare ....there are so many cars and people you can hardly move...progress it isn't in my opinion :frown:..it's the older folk who are suffering the most, all the local Banks have gone, the Chemist is on the wain and our Post office is hanging on by the skin of it's teeth ...you're OK to live here if you want a new kitchen or a Pizza and we've 3 Hairdressers :rolleyespink:...i could go on:biggrin: so that's how our politics work around here:rolleyespink:.....

It's another bright sunny morning here and for the first time in a week or so the damp atmosphere has gone....the paths are snuff dry.....dry enough for snow to lay me thinks....

          Waves to all....

Have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

              Aloha Everyone,

Politics doesn't work when the cabinet is full of millionaires and nobody with the real understanding of life.

Shiney, hope all your holiday plans are coming together.

Loli, it took me a while to figure out how this laptop works but I am getting there. Of course Windows 8 takes a bit of getting used to.

Waves to WOO, have a good day my friend. a

Have a good day all stay safe, God bless.

                  Morning everyone,

Its a little cool here but at least there isn't any snow, thankfully.

Had a busy day yesterday and later Brad and I are off to get Kait for the weekend, but Chris is taking her back on Sunday, so that works.

                  Enjoy your day everyone.

                  Aloha everyone,

Moyra, I've got most of the problems sorted now. The nurse from our surgery phoned me yesterday and we had a long discussion about vaccinations and tablets. The flights are now booked (couldn't get them for when I wanted them ), accomodation booked, and it now leaves me to sort out how to get to see the things we want to see and do the things we want. It will depend on how inadvisable it will be to wander around on our own.

I've, finally, lifted all the runnerbean plants. It's much harder than it appears because they get so interwoven on the Shineyframe. I first cut all the stems at the root (lots of bending that my back doesn't like), then cut all the string that ties the canes together and the large amount of string that makes up the 'cat's cradle' of the ovehead Shineyframe. Then I struggle pulling all the canes out of the ground and use the secateurs to cut through the amazing amount of stems and branches that have interwoven (about 200 plants). I can then start to get the plants off the canes, cart the plants to the bonfire heap, clean the canes and stack them (another problem for me is bending and picking up the canes :old:). It took about three solid hours of work! I suppose that's not too bad when you think it comes down to about a minute per plant. :blue thumb:

We had a good lunch out, at the pub, with our friends. I had a lovely piece of beer battered plaice fillet with chips and peas (wonderful light, crispy batter on a large piece of plaice), followed by plum tart and ice cream and tea. All for the enormous cost of £7.50 :)

Keep warm, and have a great day

                  Aloha!

Shiney...You'll certainly be ready for a holiday :phew: a well deserved one too:dbgrtmb: I only had a dozen bean plants to remove but what a task that was...they tie better knots than i do:rolleyespink: don't think i'd have coped with 200 plants:thud::love30:

It's very dark out there this morning but milder than of late...Mr Fox has just passed through on his way home from his night out otherwise it's all very quiet....:dbgrtmb:
Just time for a cup of tea before it's time for work:coffee:..i've had my quota of boiled water...i swear by that stuff....then a touch up of mascara ....i sneezed before it was dry:heehee:....

                  Wishing everyone well:dbgrtmb:
