    Yesterday was a lovely sunny day but turned chilly during the afternoon. Had to scrape the ice off the car at 5 p.m.

    Loli, many happy returns to Mr Loli Senior for yesterday :blue thumb:. Mr Shiney Senior would have been 115 now and Mr Shiney Senior Senior would have been 150 :hate-shocked:

    I've got my regular appointment with the chiropodist this morning. So, with the hygienist on Monday, I'm having the full Foot and Mouth treatment this week. :heehee:

        Morning everyone,

        Its cold and frosty here, had to let the truck warm up earlier, but there's no snow at the moment, so that's fine with me.

        I'm supposed to be off to Toronto shortly, just waiting on Brad to send me the text to leave, if not today then its tomorrow, but whichever works for me.


        Off to throw some towels into the dryer...so enjoy your day everyone.

        Late on parade today. Got soaking wet walking Amber it was drizzling when we went out and as we got to the green the heavens opened and it turned into a hailstorm. Amber turned round and dragged me home quickly she didn't like the hailstones jumping off her back poor little mite. I had to change my trousers as the legs of them below my raincoat were soaked.
        I hope everyone else is ok not very nice day at all is it. Have a good day everyone stay safe and dry and warm as best you can. God bless.

        Good morning everyone,

        Hope everyone has had a good night:dbgrtmb:...

        Moyra...it's rotten when you get caught out in the wet walking the furries isn't it and you had hail aswell,Theo isn't happy about that either...the last time we had hail the chooks were happily wandering but then suddenly looked up with such a startled look on their faces then made a run for it into the kitchen:heehee:...it was quite comical to see:chicken:...

        Shiney...Good luck with the foot and mouth treatment:heehee:

        All quiet here , no frost and feels strangely mild even though it's 6 degrees....

        Time for a quick cuppa then off i go again:dbgrtmb:

        I'm not sure about venturing outside't look all that inviting! It's cold, a light drizzle and very strong winds. It's a huddle indoors in the warm day :blue thumb:.

        Tree surgeons were supposed to be here all day tomorrow but have put it off until Wednesday.

        My foot and mouth treatments went OK :)

        Good morning everyone,

        I hope everyone is cozy:dbgrtmb:

        It's bitter out there this morning ...Brrrr....i'm willing it to get light so i can check on my poorly Poppy Chook ,i don't want to go stressing them just yet incase they think Mr Foxy has got himself a torch....I was tempted to bring her in the house for the night but when i checked them late on Poppy was all snuggled up with Mabel and looked comfortable so didn't disturb them...so we'll see what today brings:fingers crossed:

        I thought it was Saturday this morning :yahoo::doh:then soon realized it was Friday and another work day before my weekend off:rolleyespink::heehee:.....

        It's cold and dry here as well, today :blue thumb: and I think the sun will be making an appearance when it has woken up.

        We won our bridge match last night and it was a very friendly and sociable match :). The sandwiches and lovely homemade cake went down well, also :biggrin:.

        Unfortunately, we didn't get home until very late as they had closed the motorway - again!!! The sixth closure in seven days due to accidents :sad:.

        The temporary winter cover I knocked up for the propagator must be making it nice and cosy in the greenhouse as Sarafi has pushed some pots out of the way and settled down in the propagator! :heehee:
        Oscar would never have knock pots over to do something. He would, gently, move them aside and keep them upright. He was always watching Mrs Shiney when she worked on filling up pots and transplanting and worked out what she wanted.
        I've now made sure Sarafi has a small, clear, space. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

        The cover is made very simply, from heavy duty wire cloche hoops with plastic draped over them. You can just see Sarafi inside it, next to the watering can, under the front right hand corner. :snork:

        Filling the can and putting it in the propagator keeps the water nice and warm for the plants and keeps the propagator nicely humidified.

          Another real cold one but at least the rain has stopped. Am hoping that is it for a day or two hopefully it will dry up a bit.

          Its a little warmer here this morning and its raining, however the snow is supposed to move in later tonight and Sunday is supposed to be bad.

          I am off for my manicure at 9:30, and then have some errands to do for Brad, I was in Toronto most of the day yesterday so I have a few for myself as well.

          Brad and I plan on doing some more Christmas shopping tomorrow, and out for supper with friends tomorrow night.

          Off to get some more coffee, so enjoy your day everyone.

          Shiney....that's so funny...Sarafi has got a lovely warm spot to sit...cheeky monkey:heehee:...

          Poppy Chook is still plodding on:blue thumb:...she looked really bright this morning before i went to work but is looking tired again now...I've had her held over a steam bath and she's been thoroughly dried but it's a little late in the day and i don't want her catching a chill...all being well in the morning i'll let her have a nice sit in a warm bath to see if that helps...it's worth a try...she's bright and chatty enough but her mobility is poor...:dbgrtmb:
