@moyra ....she'll only be around 4 years old but she's a hybrid and they are designed to pump out eggs...there's nothing fancy about them but they are very special ....i have learnt not to get into such a tizz over the chooks, as with all birds they have a very delicate hold on life but Poppy has always been a fussy little thing and full of character ...but i tell you what i find fascinating ....Mabel and Poppy have always suffered each other they used to fight like cat and dog but now when i escorted them back to their run all the others scurried back in but Mabel was going nowhere without Poppy...due to this Egg peritonitis which you'll probably know the shelless eggs drop down the wrong shoot for want of a better word thus collecting in her abdomen and weighing her down so her mobility is poor...Once i picked Poppy up to take her to the run Mabel then followed....even Archi and Theo have been keeping watch over her.....'Dumb animals' Ey ....i'll do my best for her but being selfish it's not easy to part

Aww Penny,Daniel is so cute i could bite him....in a caring way ofcourse...i can't wait to see him at christmas i'm sure he has an outfit lined up

Hope everyone is on form....

Poppy seems to be doing OK and hanging in there....she sat in a nice warm bath first thing this morning and has been happily pottering around the kitchen listening to the radio...she decided she wanted to be out and about so off she went without a bye or leave....charming....

Shiney...you don't half have some good meetings....

It's started raining here but hopefully it's just a shower....i want to get out there and redo my gravel path in my veg patch and some tidying up too

Good morning Woo and all,

It's a damp one here this morning but not cold i got a few jobs crossed off my list yesterday but then i kept adding to it so the list is getting longer by the hour.....

I brought Poppy in the kitchen as i thought she was 'taking a turn', made her a nice little bed which she sat on for a few minutes and ate half a tin of sweetcorn,she then decided to to have a wander .She seemed to get a second wind and instead of relaxing she decided she'd rather chase the dogs around the conservatory...once she'd decided she'd scared the dogs sufficiently she went off back in the garden....There's no improvement today but she's no worse
