      Aloha everyone,

      This bright sunny morning brings another attempt from us to try and catch the mouse in the kitchen. It's three weeks and he's still winning :heehee:. He's twice managed to get the chocolate out of the humane trap without being caught!

      I also need to fix the leaky tap. I'm not very good at DIY so I've got a friend coming round to sort it for me. It's not the old fashioned, easy, way of just changing a washer. It's one of the taps where you have to change the ceramic insert! Fortunately I've got the paperwork on the tap so I have the part number. All we've got to do is find a supplier who stocks it. My friend's a DIY enthusiast :blue thumb:

      My back's a lot better so oily rags back in the the bag! :dbgrtmb:

      I have to go and sort out some things for Barry this morning. His mobility scooter has packed up and he wants to buy a new one. He has some money in an endowment policy that he wants to cash in and I shall look into it. He hasn't been paying into the policy for a couple of years as it wasn't doing much and the life cover part is of no interest to him any more since his mother died. I'm going to try and squeeze as much as I can from the insurance company.

          Morning everyone :)

          Its back to cold here, really cold, we had some rain yesterday and snow overnight and with the temps dropping, its like a skating rink out there:gaah: , was supposed to go up to the mennonites today, but thats now tomorrow.

          I do have to go to the bank and grocery shopping though, and sort some seeds that came in the mail for me yesterday too.;)

            Afternoon all,
            Just got back from doctor's yet again! This time suffice to say have now got 'ladies problems' and now, yet again, more antobiotics and cream :eeew:

            Peter going this afternoon for his monthly checkup, lets hope he is has the all clear about his mouth.

                We've now renamed our mouse 'Supermouse'! We've been putting down these humane traps and they have worked quite well in the past

                Supermouse has defeated it!! :mad:

                They are designed with an angle in them so that when the mouse goes inside for the chocolate it tilts up and the door automatically closes. He obviously knows how they work because he doesn't go in through the door. He has eaten a hole through the plastic, eaten the chocolate and then gone out through the hole leaving the trap still set!!

                I've sorted out most things for Barry but there are some technical details to do and we're waiting for forms to arrive.
