I hope you are all ready now for Christmas. Going to simmer the Gammon today in the crockpot slow cooker. I am very tired and I think it is because of this mucous that keeps choking me and keeping me awake at night. I hope everyone else is now over these viruses.

Morning everyone,

Its cold here and there's a lot of ice, we had a wicked ice storm go through here late Saturday night into Sunday.....took us over 3 hours just to snow blow our driveway and the neighbors, then we went and did Natalie and Dan's house....so a total of 4 hours of snow blowing yesterday.....darn ice!!

We had a busy weekend, did a bunch of shopping, but still not done, so we're off again tonight to Barrie to finish it, once and for all.

Off to start some laundry....so enjoy your day everyone.

Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year....i love to stick to all the traditions i've been brought up with....baking being the first of many,then it's a good tidy up and getting the fruit and nuts in positon.....laying the table and general faffing with bit's of Holly and Ivy,preparing the Veg for the main event and 'testing' mince pies on and off all day...i could go on

Been a windy old night and still blowing but not quite as fierce as it was....i hope it calms down or Rudolph and his mates are going to have a heck of a head wind tonight...."sleigh2".....

I hope everyone is safe and well and haven't suffered any damage.....

All busy? I have just made my mixed herb stuffing. Always use mixed herbs rather than just sage much more tasty! Pigs in blankets all done and the gammon is gently simmering. The crockpot wasn't big enough so had to rake out the pressure cooker but wont cook it under pressure though.

All these parties Shiney you will be worn out before the day!

Loli, you didn't say whether your chook was better or not after her steam bath.

WOO, just a pinny on eh well I guess you are half decent then. Lol.

Daisy Chook seems OK,i haven't seen her lay an egg but she's pottering around OK....I'm a bit worried about Theo now....he's got an upset tummy and isn't himself....you can see he's uncomfortable and keeps laying down...he hasn't eaten anything different that i'm aware of so i'll be keeping a close watch on him....

You sound well organised Moyra.......i'm baking but i'm doing just a bit too much of the 'tasting'....

Hope Amber and Steve are OK

 

Morning everyone,

Happy Christmas Eve!! Its a cold and frosty morning here, although everything looks so pretty with all the ice on the tree's and then having snow on top...pretty but makes me nervous in case branches start snapping!!

We got all of our Christmas shopping yesterday, we took Natalie and Daniel with us, and he was so good.

I do have to brave the store today, need to do some grocery shopping...shouldn't have left it this late but that's ok....I'll just take my patience with me.
