    I managed to get some work done in the garden yesterday although it was quite cold. I finished taking apart the bird feeders and cleaning them. It took a bit longer than anticipated because Sarafi decided to supervise and help. The supervising part wasn't too bad but I really needed earplugs to be comfortable. He yowls very loudly whereas Oscar never spoke. I, obviously, wasn't doing the job peoperly because Sarafi jumped up onto the table and decided he would work on the feeders. The only way I could stop him was to keep stroking him! He eventually got tired of me stroking him and just sat on the table and watched me work - with an occasional oud comment from him. He has never sat with me before. He usually shouts at me, accepts a few strokes and then marches off.

    I continued clearing up the fruit tree prunings and adding them to the bonfire heap - I soon won't be able to reach the top! I can't burn it for a while because the wood is still green. There are still another five apple trees to be pruned!

    It's another sunny but cold windy day so it will be thermals, long johns and Mrs Shiney's woolly hat for me again.:)

    My chest is a lot better but I'm still having trouble with a sore and swollen tongue and slightly sore throat - but it makes other people happier because I can't talk much :heehee:

      Its cold here and snowing like crazy out there, they did say snow squalls and thats what we got rght now.

      I was supposed to do a bunch of errands for Brad, but we'll see now.

      I got weighed..no comment as I wasn't happy. It has been a pleasant day weatherwise.

      It's a cold but bright and breezy morning. :blue thumb: Last night's howling wind and heavy rain has gone and the patio has dried up. It'll soon be time to get the pressure hose out.

      Yesterday I did a bit more clearing up and started on cutting the new edges to the lawns. It shouldn't take me more than a month to do them :heehee: I want to get a little more done today before I open the bridge club at lunch time.

      No work for me today:yahoo: so i might take myself off up the road to a nature reserve...it's a wetlands and grasslands place.....saying that most places round here are 'wetlands' at the moment:heehee:

        Nice bright morning today but I had trouble walking Amber. I could not bend my right knee without excrutiating pain so had to walk with leg rigid and turned at an angle to the right to be able to get around. It has gone off a bit now and I can bend it again.

        Loli, I sit here entranced by that chicken of yours laying eggs to the dozen! Hope you don't expect that productivity from your girls.

        I'm not sure what today's weather is going to bring as it sems very still out there.

        I'm way behind with doing paperwork as I've not really felt like it for the last month :sad:. I'll have to get going on it this morning and then I've got a lunchtime meeting. That shouldn't be too bad as I'm being treated to lunch by an accountant that I give advice to :blue thumb:

        Moyra, I hope your knee is OK today :dbgrtmb:

        Loli, did you do a bit of naturism in the nature reserve? :heehee:

          I thought it was Spring yesterday morning:doh: but by the time i got to the Nature reserve it turned very bleak.....biting wind and then down came the snow....even the birds took cover....all apart from a very fed up looking Cormorant.......i did enjoy the walk though....bracing to say the least......
